Bring Back Player 2 (Tri) 1,504 Report post Posted March 16 What I mean is if a player is in the VHL and can't make it in one season to go up, don't let it count against his 8 full seasons. 2 omgitshim and Spade18 reacted to this
Spade18 395 Report post Posted March 16 Fully supportive of this. It shouldn't be a punishment to play in the VHLM

Kendrick 4,218 Report post Posted March 16 Not a bad thing to look at given how much TPE you can make per week 1 Bring Back Player 2 (Tri) reacted to this
Beaviss 924 Report post Posted March 16 You shouldn’t penalize a player for how long it takes for them to make the VHL 3 Spade18, Exlaxchronicles and Bring Back Player 2 (Tri) reacted to this

Will 3,369 Report post Posted March 16 I suggested this fairly recently in the BOG as we were talking about career extensions and stuff I don't think anyone was against it. 1 Spade18 reacted to this

tfong 787 Report post Posted March 16 Wasn't the counter argument for this back then was they didn't want people to spend years in the VHLM and stocking up on TPE before going into VHL?

I like how the SBA does it - your NCAA seasons don't count toward your players "age," but there's a hard cap of 199 TPE. If you go over 199 or finish your fourth season, you're auto-entered into the upcoming draft.

This is mainly for those people like first gens who come in with 30 TPE. Those who don't want to spend years in the VHLM will know how to get out of there when they need to get out. Or they could always talk to their GM about playing up.
Kendrick 4,218 Report post Posted March 17 They would be capped too. So as soon as you hit a certain mark, you go to the VHL and cant bank anything more
diamond_ace 877 Report post Posted March 17 I like this idea
STZ 3,214 Report post Posted March 19 This is a good idea. SBA uses this system but I believe it is limited to 4 seasons in the “minors”.. Good system tbh.
Bring Back Player 2 (Tri) 1,504 Report post Posted March 19 @Will @Beketov @Devise @JardyB10 maybe this can be implemented this off-season for those currently in the VHLM? No one has posted against it and we all know it would be very helpful for those who have to stay another season. This way those members can enjoy the full 8 seasons instead of just 7. 1 omgitshim reacted to this

tfong 787 Report post Posted April 12 So what happens if someone decides to stay in the VHLM for 1 below cap forever?

Or simply because it could be @BluObieZ ? or whatever Anderson? I mean wasn't this a point of contention when it was originally asked back in like...pre-S20 or something? 1 minute ago, hedgehog337 said: Then he's a VHLM forever player. or just put a 3-5 season limit to this. See above. Putting limitation just limits the damage. Or you can time it to cap -1, wait till new season starts then go again and have cap+entire season then start in VHL with like 400-500 starting TPE?
sterling 1,734 Report post Posted April 12 Well presumably the only way this would happen is if the person went inactive and if they are inactive they should be auto-retired after so many seasons anyway. It wouldn't be very common to have a member chose to stay in the minors while staying active on the boards and not collecting welfare or doing point tasks. 1 diamond_ace reacted to this
