DollarAndADream 3,356 Posted October 3, 2015 Share Posted October 3, 2015 Previous Editions: Season 37 Part 1 + Part 2 Season 38 Part 1 + Part 2 Season 39 Season 40 (other parts in thread) Season 41 (other parts in thread) Season 42 Part 1 Part 2 Season 43 + Part 2 Season 39 Draft: Milos Denis Part One - James Faraday and Jackson Miller Milos Denis - 7th Overall -------------------------------------- -------------------------------------- Milos is about as reliable of a point producer as they come, and while he split the first six seasons of his career with the New York Americans and Quebec City Meute, he now finds himself in Riga playing for the Reign. Breaking onto the scene in Season 39 with New York, Milos scored 6 goals and 15 assists in his rookie season, with a +53 to boot. While most of those successes can be claimed as on a strong Americans roster, Milos did have skills of his own. He had 5 points in those 10 playoff games that season, and went on to win the Continental Cup as a rookie, learning from key veterans such as Odin Tordahl and Wesley Kellinger. In his sophomore season, he improved to 13 goals and 14 assists, and was once again a part of a finals cup run with New York. Denis scored another 5 points in those playoffs, but they were defeated by the Riga Reign. It was in Season 41 that Milos suddenly became more relied upon as a producer, and brought forward 27 goals and 40 assists, improving to a milestone of 67 points. Again the Americans went to the finals, and accompanied by Milos Denis' 9 points in 12 games, they won the Continental Cup as well. In that off-season, he signed to the Quebec City Meute, joining the likes of Bruno Wolf, Aksel Thomassen, and Travis Boychuk. He continued to improve and scored 32 goals and 60 assists, for 92 points with his new squad. Milos, strikingly enough, found himself once again in the finals against the Cologne Express. He had another 9 points in 12 games, this time for the Meute, but they lost to the Express. In Season 43, Milos' numbers fell a little bit, but he was still solid with 74 points, although this time the playoffs were brief in a 5 game upset loss to the Seattle Bears. Season 44 was a year in which Quebec City had to gun for the title, and Denis aided them with 43 goals and 53 assists, giving him career milestones in both goals(43) and points(96). He also blocked the most shots he's ever blocked, with 34. Not exactly impressive, but worth noting. Just like the season prior, the Meute were knocked out of the playoffs that season in 5 games, but this time to the Calgary Wranglers, the eventual cup winners. With veterans aging and retiring, Quebec was forced to trade Milos Denis to the Riga Reign, where he plays currently. Denis has been a solid depth player this season with 37 points in 48 games, and it will be interesting to watch if Milos and the Reign can win it all. Although not as great as a Hall of Famer, Milos Denis has been a great addition for each team that he has played for. He has been one of the better right wingers in this generation of players, and an go-to to slot into the first or second line. Milos never seems to struggle to find chemistry with anybody.
