    WJC Commissioner - Hiring ONE!

WJC Commissioner - Hiring ONE! I was gonna grab an uncle sam "We want you" for this job promo, but then this sweet logo design came up and it was neat and I had to share it. So share it I did! It's that wonderful time of the season where we get to experience our newest members and players play it out for their home countries in the S65 World Junior Championships. This has been a tournament that's gone now for a few seasons and since its revival, I feel like it's had some good success and been a lot of fun. It gives members the opportunity to represent their birth nations, complete in an international tournament prior to the WC, get experience in jobs or further cement your legacy and of course, kick some ass chasing that oh so sweet gold! @BladeMaiden has decided to stay on as a commissioner for this upcoming season. We appreciate and express all the thanks in the world to @Sonnet for all the help you've done with us during the WJC. WITH THAT BEING SAID, Blade is looking for a partner to help take on the WJC. World Junior Commissioners Duties: Update the Eligibility List and make sure everyone is listed in the good team, as the portal tends to make everyone Canadian. Help in the hiring process of the 5 World Junior Championship General Managers. Promote the World Junior Championship around the board, on the Discord or wherever you may want. Decide the recipients of the tournament awards. Update various All-Time Lists with this season's statistics, histories etc. The job pays 3 capped TPE per week for the duration of the tournament and will give you a light, fun, short-term management experience. The newly hired WJC Commissioner won't be able to apply for a WJC GM job. Don't apply here if you plan on being a GM, as we'll start the hiring process after the Commish is named. If this is something that could interest you, apply by posting in this thread.

I always thought pointing out loopholes as a veteran forum member was better by just pointing it out to those in charge instead of throwing a bit of a tantrum.

Saskatoon’s Rough Start To The Season It has been a rough start for the Saskatoon Wild. I will tell you why they are losing games. And the next steps for Saskatoon. If you have any questions or concerns don’t be afraid to tell me. Offence Saskatoon’s offence is very good with Raphael Nazarians, Shawnomir Jagr and Nethila Dissanayake. They also have a decent second line with Emil Pesserelli and John Predue. Saskatoon is the second best team in terms of goal scoring with 72 goals just behind the Las Vegas Aces with 73 goals at the time of writing. Saskatoon's offence will only get better. Defence This is why the Saskatoon Wild is not doing well, their defence is lacking. The Saskatoon Wild allowed the most goals in the VHLM with 90 goals allowed!. Their best player on defence has only 85 TPE. The Saskatoon Wild needs to get their act together. On the bright side, the players are improving and learning from their mistakes. They will need to trade or sign players from free agency if they want to win the Founder’s Cup. Goaltending Saskatoon is also weak in goaltending. They have two goaltenders, one is Juan Jaundice and the other is Domenic Villella. Domenic Villella is Saskatoon's back up goalie but he is inactive so he can’t earn any TPE thus he is stuck at 30 TPE. But Juan Jaundice is the person to look at. He is getting more and more TPE and has 77 TPE right now with 21 games played. He won 7 lost 13 and with 1 overtime loss. He also has a 0.862 save percentage and 4.38 goals against average and has allowed 90 goals. Hopefully, things will change and the Saskatoon Wild will go on to win the Founder’s Cup. Next Steps I only have 3 options of what the Saskatoon Wild can do. The first one is just to hope that the Saskatoon Wild goes on a winning streak and change nothing just hope to win. The second one is to make trades for the best players in the VHLM and go for a shot at the cup. The 3rd option is to trade their players to get draft picks and to get a shot at the cup next season. Do you have any other options? Tell me in the comments! Top 3 Best Saskatoon Players So Far 1.Shawnomir Jagr This guy is the star of the team. He has 18 goals and 12 assists. Which means he has 30 points! He is the leader of the team and will get better an better! 2.Nethila Dissanayake and Rapael Nazarians I had a hard time choosing one so I chose both. Nethila and Raphael are awesome players. Nethila has 30 points and Raphael has 29 they are both all stars! 3.John Perdue Lot’s of people don’t know this guy but you should, with 19 points this guy can be an all-star and he can be the best of the best! Hoped you enjoyed!

    Biography of Edward Vigneault [2/2]

Biography of Edward Vigneault Chapter 1: Childhood His story begins in the small town of Baie-Comeau, a mere city of about 20,000 habitants, located in the Côte-Nord region of Quebec. Born of a labor father in the sawmill of the region and a mother babysitter, family income is quite high. He grew up in hockey thanks to his father, Charles Vigneault, the biggest fan of the Quebec City Meute. Indeed, he listens to these religiously every night there is match. Edward is enrolled at a young age in minor hockey of his region. His friends are Louis-Pierre Gauthier and Félix Allard, hockey teammates and classmates at Boisvert Elementary School. Every weekend, Edward, his father and sometimes his friends, go to their cottage located 50 kilometers north of the city to practice their favorite activities: hunting, fishing and relaxing. For weekday evenings, they are dictated by practices, hockey games, improvised games of floor hockey in the street and homework. Edward is clearly not a A+ student, indeed, he has a lot of difficulties at school, but managed somehow to succeed all his courses without failures. This rhythm of life extends throughout his elementary school. However, big changes will be coming for high school. Chapter 2: Adolescence Unfortunately for Edward, he must leave his home town at the age of 12 if he wants to continue his hockey career, his region is very far away, recruiters and coaches don’t go in Baie-Comeau to scout or give camps of improvements. It is rather rare in this region to see a guy with Edward’s potential, so it is under the guidance of the director of minor hockey of Baie-Comeau that Charles, Edward’s father, decide to take a fly for his son to the city of Quebec and to enroll him in a high school there. He must live with friends of the Vigneault family and study at La Camaradière high school in hockey concentration. By no longer living with his parents, Edward have his mother helping him in his homework, that he would then create a drop of grades and a few courses failure. He managed to pass his high school with the help of his friends. On the hockey level, Edward stands out by his physic. His slap shot improves a lot, and he distributes good checks. Unfortunately for him, the different teams of VHLM consider him not mature enough to use a draft pick on him. He started working on weekends in a hardware store’s backyard where he developed strength. Every summer, his father bought him a fly back to Baie-Comeau to see his family and friends. He loved to be back in his region every summer, he was always asking to go to the cottage, since he couldn’t go hunting and to go fishing while he was in Quebec. Fortunately for Edward, every academic year, he was also able to see his parents when they were coming to watch a Meute’s game. He loved to go there with his father because he was analyzing the way every defenseman in Quebec’s team was playing to try to mimic them in his own play. He worked so hard during his high-school years that he got a place in Laval University hockey roster. Chapter 3: Becoming a man Due to his bad grades during his high-school years, he had to do some refresher course to get in human science, since he wasn’t decided about what career he would do in his life. Refresher courses helped him a lot and he finally got good grades without any help. He found an interest in the human mind, he liked to know they way people reacted to a given situation, that’s what motivated him to get through his classes, he finally knew what he would do if hockey wasn’t successful. On the hockey side of things, Limoilou’s team was exceptionally good these years, so good that he did not have that much ice time as he was expected. That fact motivated him a lot to prove himself and give everything he had every single shift. Year went pass and he moved up in the organization’s line to finally get a top 2 role. He developed so much during his cegep’s year that he got a few elite’s bourses to make his way into the university’s world. Chapter 4: Living in the man's world Finally, time for him to get an apartment with a friend that went to Laval University, like him. He struggled a little bit at first but liked having his own house quickly. His room-mate was John Talbot, a teammate from Limoilou. They got on very well and helped each other out in class, because they both decided to enroll themselves in psychology. Of course, they struggled more than in cegep, it’s university after all! But with passion and work, they passed every class they took together. They threw a few parties here in there at their apartment, did some things that they were not proud of, just like any other university student. They played hockey a lot, they were on the same defensive duo in the Rouge & Or, the university hockey team. It was hard at first, after all, they were in the highest non-professional league in Quebec. Their coach was just amazing, developped them in a matter of months into real VHLM ready players. Unfortunately for them, three consecutive year passed without any VHLM team willing to give them a shot. Edward had the impression that he was doing everything right, but that was just not enough. So, as always, he trained harder, worked harder, until one day, one day that he will never forget. Chapter 5: Going pro 27th February 2019, Edward is going to get himself dressed for his practice, when he was just about to enter the locker room, his coach was standing in the door, he told him that someone wanted to talk to him in his office and didn’t wanted to tell Edward who it was. Edward, make his way to the coach office, head full of thought, stressed. He makes his way to the door, open it, sees a woman, sitting in the coach’s chair, looking outside the window. He has no idea who that woman is. She turns around to face Edward, and say ‘’Hi, my name is Blade Maiden, I am the general manager of the Philadelphia Reapers, a team in the VHLM league.’’ Edward couldn’t hide his smile, he now knew what was about to happen, his dream was about to become a reality, he will become a professional hockey player! They talked about the term and agreements of the contract for about 1 hour, at the end, Edward signed his 1st professional contract, when he came back to the locker room, everyone was aware of the signing, thanks to his coach. They celebrated like they never did before, finally someone was being signed in their team! That was the beginning of a beautiful story, a beautiful story yet to be concluded… ** First time writing a story in english, I am sorry if some sentences are weird

    Peace

Peace shows off his new house.

DAVOS, SWITZERLAND -- Rylan Peace invited us to see his new apartment in Davos, and boy we were... rather disappointed, really. We expected the proud Canadian to have beaver hides everywhere, flannel toques hanging up on a coat rack and a picture of Wayne Gretzky handing up on the walls like a religious family would do for their religious figure, who ever that may be... but no, Rylan Peace isn't your typical Canadian hockey player. It was video games. Yep, video games. Video games dominated the young Davos stars' apartment, from console games like NHL 19 to hardcore shooters like Escape From Tarkov. We knew Peace enjoyed playing video games, but after witnessing the walls of his house, it seems like his life rotates around playing for Davos' and playing for the Calgary Flames in NHL 19; there were no physical exercise equipment, no in door hot tubs, and the garage sported one 2019 RAM 1500 he had purchased when they rolled off the factory lines. We asked him what his favorite game was, we only got jokes about how bad FORTNITE was for a solid three minutes before asking him if he enjoyed anything else. Peace revealed himself to be a Star Trek fan, but his favorite T.V series is Battlestar: Galactica. As a star wars groupie, I had to leave the house immediately. Peace is a huge nerd.

    WJC Commissioner - Hiring ONE!

I'm new to the league as of 4 weeks ago, but really enjoying it so far and have been looking for more ways to get involved. I think this would be a great opportunity to get a feel for the management side of things and see how some of the behind the scenes duties are carried out. On that note, I'd like to be considered for "assistant to the commissioner!" (Little Dwight Schrute reference for you office fans!)

He will also stay in the league since he already un-retired. Though that begs the question to @Will, does the portal have protocols for this or do we just re-attach the player to the team and member manually?

Yukon with a good win against Las Vegas. Triple H with a great game, he had 3 assists and should have been the first star. Clayton Park with 29 saves on 31 keeps Yukon in the game with a great performance. Great performance by Yukon.

    BOOM™

    Crying wolf?

The BOOM™ Agency is well known for its tendency to float around the VHL, drifting from team to team and even being labelled a mercenary. It's former players have even flirted with or threatened retirement due to varying degrees of interest. Hell, even Seattle has first hand experience with former player Thor Odinsson who threw a hissy fit and burnt bridges with Bears management after retiring for some ridiculous reason that this writer can't even remember. It's with a heavy heart that I confirm that Vaydar Odinsson will be the final player who will represent the once well respected player agency. No backtracking or change of heart this time around. Odinsson has struggled with both interest and commitment to the VHL so a decision needed to be made. Another announcement will be made when the retirement is confirmed. God bless you all, or say hi to Allah if that's your thing, but a massive thank you to all of you who have made the league into what it is today. I've only been here for 40 seasons and its been a pleasure since S25 to be a part of it. Thanks boys... and the couple of girls who now inhabit the league.
