Miami is having a season for the history books. They were projected to be a lottery team at the beginning of the season with everyone already counting them out of the playoff picture. They had maybe five active members at the start of the season who were getting lots of minutes while they learned the ropes of the VHL. My time with the Miami Marauders, although very short as I joined halfway through the season, has been very enjoyable because the entire atmosphere of the team, and the people throughout the league as a whole, is very welcoming and helpful. Vancouver, B.C - Less than 24 hours before the first game of the Continental Cup Finals, Patrik Laine and the Helsinki Titans have agreed to a 3 year contract extension. The playoffs are where giants die, and where underdogs shine. Miami was the favorite to win the cup last season, and they choked. They were the lowest seed this season, yet they beat the top two seeds in 7 games. The Ace's went down this series 3-0 and turned it around to force a game 7, but in the seventh game, things just didn't go to the Ace's favor.
