  1. 70. What are your overall thoughts on the Bears season? Surprising how things turned out. I remember before the season we were planning on a second rebuild year and were prepared to be at the bottom of the league. Then we gained a great core and came together. It was a pretty good season considering our low expectations at the beginning of the year. We did amazing for a normal team, let alone one in the middle of a rebuild. 71. What are your overall thoughts on how your player did? I wasn't a big fan of how my player did. I put a decent amount of points but most of what I added to the team was just hits. As a forward, especially considering the roles I had been given, I felt I needed to contribute more in terms of offense. 72. Who do you think wins in the next round - Calgary or Vancouver? I don't know both teams situations but I might go Calgary. They just have a really solid team. They have scorers and hitters; just a complete and extremely solid team that can outlast any team. 73. Who wins between Moscow and Malmo? I'm going to go for Malmo, although it will be close. Malmo has shown that they can be more "clutch" in high pressure situations. Yes, I am basing this on the fact that Malmo has more wins but also on the fact they have less overtime losses. 74. Of the two you picked, who wins the cup? Call my biased but Calgary; not really sure how both Malmo and Calgary stand against each other but I guess it's a little bias from my Lafon-pain days 79. What's your plans with your player next season? To describe it in a few words, my plan is to get more offensive. My player has been okay in terms of defense but the offense he is producing has been abysmal considering my original plans with his build.
  2. SEATTLE - Despite an excellent season, Seattle fell to Calgary in Game 6 in this season’s playoffs. While there was a bit of disappointment in the air after the loss, it was amazing they made it this far considering the fact they were in rebuild mode. This offseason has its own challenges and will prove to be challenging for their General Manager. Yet the team continues to rally around each other and their manager. One of the players who will be aiming for better next season is Sigard Petrenko. The first rounder has been underwhelming in terms of offensive contributions and he is looking to change that by the start of next season. “Yeah, it was a tough result. I mean, we wanted to beat Calgary so badly. Tough early losses and a tough last loss. I took a few too many penalties and I did not play as well as I should have. I’ll aim to get better as soon as possible because I want us to be dangerous next season. I have been fairly underwhelming but it's about time I woke up and started living up to the potential I have.” Sigard Petrenko said after the game. “Tough game, tough series. Good game Wranglers.” “We’ll be back.”

  4. Review: Great graphic, I love it. I'd personally say this could go for six points because it's a very solid graphic. I love the blue glow around the player. I do wish it was a bit more transparent because it is pretty intense but it is a very good choice; drawing attention to the player. The blue stripes transitioning into a blue background is very smooth and I applaud you for allowing it to seem so natural as it fades into it. The golden land mass looks awesome and I love it's metallic look. Font choice is great and I love the choice to have yellow shading to give it some depth. My only real complaints are that the player render is a bit small. Other than, great job! 9.6/10
  5. Review: Man, this template never fails to satisfy me. Great Trade Alert and I see that you incorporated my feedback of not having a plain red strip in the middle. You made an amazing stylistic choice that I love; putting a grey gradient that blends in with the background as well as having the clean VHL logos featured in it. Having them black made them present but not noticeable. Plus, they contrasted well with the white Trade Alert font. Having the logos within the rectangles is still one of my favourite aspects of this template and the reflections look as great as ever. Having the city skylines presented are great and I LOVE the shadows you included in the text and the glow behind the logos because it separates it well from the backgrounds. The Trade Alert text just has a really cool style to it like it's fading into the middle rectangle or even bleeding into it. Only complaint; Trade Alert is not centered. 9.5/10, you did amazing.
  6. 60. What did you get for Christmas? I got a pretty nifty robot, some new gloves, and an original DS from the nearest retro store. The last one I bought for myself but the first two are still cool as hell. 62. What's something you're looking forward to that is coming up soon? I could just cheat and say Season 81 playoffs twice but for this question, I'm looking forward to the Stadium Series, even if it is in a month. 63. What is something you're excited for that is happening in 2022? Season 81 playoffs because I know we are going to kill it. 64. What did the Seattle Bears do for Christmas? One of the highlights of our christmas was playing in an ODR with each other and also with the people of the city; it was just a fun time. Reminded me of going to the local pond and playing some shinny with the people in our neighbourhood. Great time, would definitely do again. 65. A Seattle Bear's player dressed up as Santa and delivered the team toys. Who dressed up as Santa? Zeedayno Chara makes one convincing Santa and I thought it was funny seeing him in the whole white beard and red suit get up. 68. Vinny needs 21 hits to tie last seasons mark. What does he end up with do you think? Hitting machine. I mean, it's now the end of the season so I do know he surpassed his mark by 3 but I did think he was going to surpass his hits regardless. This guy has just gotten better and better with every passing season.

  9. Review: I've seen plenty of trade graphics before but I think this one is pretty neat. Having the slight glow around the rectangles with the team logos is a nice touch and helps distinguish it from the background, as well as allowing for depth. I think the reflection of the same rectangles are fun little details that add to the graphic. Having the superior VHL logo on the top right corner is a great touch and the trade alert text is very cool. Its glow matches the glow around the rectangles. Font choice is solid, though I wish there would have been shadows or something to add some depth and separate it from the city backgrounds. Only really complaint; not a fan of the red strip rectangle in the middle, kind of wish it had been something with a little more personality but it is a solid choice. 8/10
  10. Review: Solid graphic for a VHL.com graphic. The jersey swap is nice, to be honest, I've never really considered straight up using black and white jerseys for Davos and I've always ended up recolouring jerseys to be purple but I think it looks pretty clean and fresh with simply all black and white. Good touch having the (better) VHL logo on the top right and also I enjoyed the effect on the text. Having the P and T bold as well as the glow effect around the text really made it stand out. My only real problem is that the font choice is pretty boring and not much is really going on. Then again, it's worth its 2 TPE. 7/10, pretty nice!
  11. 1) Who do you think is the MVP for the Oslo Storm so far? 2) Which logo in the VHL/VHLM/VHLE do you think is the best looking for a hockey team? 3) The VHLE is a new addition to the VHL family. What do you like and dislike about it? 4) If there was one city that the VHL awarded a team to, which city would you like it to be? 5) As a member of the Oslo Storm, what are your thoughts about the team identity? 6) Should goalies be allowed to wear the C for their team?
  12. SEATTLE - When it comes to Sigard Petrenko, there is one thing that he takes great pride in when it comes to his game. It’s his ability to hit big despite his small stature. Sometimes, we all forget that the winger from Russia is only 5’8”. The 25-year old has shown that he can hit and do it consistently. While he is not at the level of Seattle captain Vinny Detroit, Sigard has shown his penchant for hits. It was first displayed at the VHLM level where Sigard hit players 261 times during his second season there. Then, in his rookie season, he had 171, slowly adjusting to the VHL pace. This season he has 212 hits in 60 games. To add to that, Sigard had his first VHL fight this season. Looking at Sigard, you’d think he would be slick and quick like a Kirill Kaprizov type player. While he does have those qualities to an extent, it’s a surprise that his physicality is such a major part of his game. “It’s interesting. I’ve always known that I’ve lacked the finesse that other players had. Yet I still found ways to score goals. Now that I’m in a situation where I am not scoring as much as I like, I found another way to hopefully help out. Hits and being physical have become a mainstay in my game and I find myself looking more for hits than scoring opportunities. Take that as you will.”
  13. Review: Pretty neat idea that you are going for here. I love the shatter effect, it reminds me of shattering glass and I find that to be cool. The jersey swap is noticeable and I'm glad you decided to add that detail. The effect hides the logo and you could have just left the logo alone but making sure you had the logo swapped is a great practice and just overall good for immersion. The colours work to let the player stand out. And once again, that shatter design is so cool. Font choice was great as well. My only problem is that I think you should have a render of the player in front of the shatter effect player background. Having the player hidden behind the effect would be fine if there was a more noticeable photo of the player, which there isn't. For a main render/focus on the photo, it does not really work. Other than that, pretty cool. 7.9/10
  14. Review: Gotta love all of the festive works going around! I am in love with seeing Bo in a Santa get up It's absolutely great and I hope that Bo Johansson wears that in the locker room. Or heck, even on the ice. Either way, fun little edit to see and gotta love the festive feel. You have to wonder, is the beard real or did he put a fake white beard over his real one? I am placing my bets on the first. 9/10, fun VHL.com graphic!
  15. 51. I think he finishes with 70+, Justin Lose is absolutely insane and just knows how to score. He can definitely make it and I'll try my hardest to make good passes. 52. Vinny has been an absolute beast the entire time I've been teammates with him, both in Saskatoon and here in Seattle. I think he just hits and hits until he is so used to it, it basically becomes his main playstyle. It's just experience. He's been going up against the toughest that he became one of the toughest. 53. Pretty sure I've seen him break out the riding the stick celly quite a few times. It will never get old. 54. I just put a sign in the box that says "Reserved for Flex". You know, even though he doesn't use it as a goalie. 55. Rye bread with some spice in it. Phoenix + spice = perfection. Gotta love it. 56. Listen here. Glitter, shampoo, and hockey gloves can go a long way.
  16. SEATTLE - In the Victory Hockey League, there are a lot of tough cookies. The Seattle Bears are one of those tough cookies. And within this tough cookie is a roster filled with tough cookies. And one of those tough cookies is Sigard Petrenko. While watching Vinny Detroit has proven to be a hitting masterclass for players all over the league, Sigard is quietly proving his hitting worth. The second leading hitter on the Seattle Bears, Sigard has been playing a physical game ever since his VHLM games while putting up a respectable amount of points. However, Sigard also proved he could be tough when it came to fisticuffs as well with his first Victory Hockey League fight. Davos has had Seattle’s number as of late. In one of the games against the team from Switzerland, Sigard and TheCHEESE had some bad blood brewing. So, Sigard handily beat up TheCHEESE and promptly got ejected. “Yeah, it’s the game. You fight, you win, you lose, at the end of the day, we’re both just playing hockey. I hope there are no hard feelings, I did not mean anything personal. I do wish I hadn’t gotten myself ejected in the process, but it’s a fight, I should have expected it. That’s all I really have to say about the fight. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s a part of hockey as much as offsides are so I don’t really think about it much.”
  17. Review: Pretty neat, I think it's a good VHL.com graphic and it looks pretty damn cool. I love the blur effect and I love the logo swap. I never really thought of using the Boston Bruins yellow to match with the Lynx's "gold-ish" colour. It looks pretty smooth and I do like the logo being a bit more brighter and colourful. It almost glows in the graphic and I think that's a very cool effect. The blur adds to that effect and the glowing draws your attention to it. I do think the blur is a bit too much if you don't include any clear elements however and I don't like the font colour. It would have been better to at least use a border because I can barely read some of it. Other than that, solid. 7/10.
  18. Review: NFTs are the future of art and as much as I hate to admit it, they seem to be trending upward and upward with every passing day. Thankfully, there are some quality NFTs out there. Only problem? They are hella overpriced. However, I think these were quite creative NFTs. One of my favourites are the creative depiction of the Warsaw Predators as an NFT. Did I ever imagine I'd see the Warsaw Predators logo as an NFT? No. But I definitely think it is an excellent idea and gives a great new reimagination of the logo. It's creative, it's sleek, it's amazing. These NFTs are one of a kind and would definitely sell for millions of dollars, as it deserves. My only real problems are that I don't like how they continually vary in size (i feel like i'm being cheated pixels by the smaller ones) and there's no Seattle Bear one. 6.8/10.
  19. 38. Underwhelming. I'm being given top minutes and top roles but I still can't seem to produce on the scoresheet. Vinny has his hits, everybody else has their own thing, and I'm over here in limbo. 44. I'm pretty sure we've made a shrine out of some of them. Some days, I see him straight up just wear them. And I don't mean one at a time, I mean he wears a tower of them. Once, I saw a hat I signed. I don't know how to feel about that. 45. Listen, I love me some good ol' whole grain cereals. They just told me they'd come up with the name. I'm not sure if this is the official name yet but they presented me with two options, Renkos and just straight up SP89. Though, they probably have to change it to SP79 because of my jersey change. Or... maybe think of better names. Either way, it's neat that they wanted to name cereal after me. 46. Kept it simple and just called it a cup of Vin. I like it, has a nice touch. 47. Listen man, I don't think it's legal to try and release a wild Bear from the zoo into the city, drunk or not. I get the whole team pride thing but that was a surprise. 50. I have never ever seen somebody ask a hockey player to sign an ice cream cone with ice cream still on it before straight up just munching it. I feel bad for him, another time, I think I overheard somebody getting him to sign their teeth. I'll be honest, I just try my best not to stand out much during autograph times.
  20. SEATTLE - Sigard Petrenko has decided to make a switch in his jersey number. He had been wearing 88 when he first broke into the Victory Hockey League scene, when he was a part of the Houston Bulls. Coming into Seattle, he has been wearing 89 on the Bears as 88 has been retired in honour of Beketov. However, he feels that it’s about time he swapped numbers. Plus, maybe it will give him the luck he needs to step up his game in the Victory Hockey League. “I’ve been wearing 89 for quite a while. It’s a good number but I think it’s about time I switch things up for once. 89 is a cool number but I haven’t been doing as well as I’d like. I’m quite a superstitious person so I’d like to choose a number that I hope brings me good luck this season. Besides, I think I’d look pretty cool wearing it.” Sigard Petrenko explained in an interview when he first revealed he was changing his number. “I want to be my own kind of player. So, I decided to try and choose another number that is pretty unique in the world of hockey right now.” Instead of wearing 89, he will be leaving that number in favour of a new number. “Of course, I might always end up switching back if I have a bad streak.” Sigard remarked with a laugh. Introducing, from your Seattle Bears, number 79, Sigard Petrenko.
  21. Review: Great banner, it is not too flashy and it encapsulates the beauty of the city while also amplifying the beauty and symmetry of the logo itself. The long Legion logo is perfect for this fairly long banner and the long sky view of the city. The colour gives it a great feeling of being sky high, which matches the bird of the Legion logo. The best part about the skyline picture you chose is that it shows so much sky, which also gives this feeling of a sky or flying theme. Love the banner, I don't really have much to add but also don't have anything to criticize. It's really nice. 8/10
