  1. The Children's Tumor Foundation does a lot of great work combatting NF and developing new treatments as the work on a cure continues. I don't know if it 100% meets criteria but their work means a lot to me and I'd be remised not to put the foundation forward.
  2. We'll have to see haha, I'm not super involved around here anymore so not sure I'd have much to add
  3. I’ll join the Hounds, I didn’t think I’d be able to join any teams yet so y’all caught me off guard lol

  5. Can’t wait to dump my first 210 TPE into O vision and shooting
  6. The VHLE is and will remain a joke of a league until changes are made to protect the competitive integrity of the league, glad Barzy is bringing idea to the table/starting the conversation. You can't have competitive integrity in a league that's just treated as a farm system.

You're making the point for relegation, but basically you're telling me I waste my time being a VHLE GM, right? What's the point then if it doesn't actually matter?

How am I making the argument for relegation. Under no cirmcumstances should relegation happen. The truth is the community is not big enough for there to be almost 30 teams drafting. It will make every team worse. If you have VHLE teams able to move up to the VHL it only makes it so all teams have to be in the same draft. The truth is the VHLE should be what the previous VHLM experience for recreates was. I still believe that making the VHLE a league mostly for recreate players is the best thing we can do. The VHLM can greatly benefit from this and so can the VHLE.

You aren't saying anything here, DM me if you want to continue this conversation because it's just frustrating for me right now. The case for relegation is that the VHL is what actually matters, so we should make sure all of the crappy teams get the boot

  7. Wowe, not only does this good forum content require picking through bland game logs (thank you simon), but I can't even complete them for games that I would care about!!! The best kind of forum content around!!1!

  9. Not surprising unfortunately. Hope there is some action taken to undo the effects of the TPE ban, absurd to go this far back for a reach of a ban.
  10. Is that part even enforced? I've seen people claim two .com articles in a week before
  11. 1. You get to represent the first iteration of the VHLE's Cologne Express. How does it feel to be on the Inaugural team? It's a chance to make history, it's hard not to be excited at that prospect. 2. Given all the tremendous leadership throughout the locker room, who do you think should be Team Captain? I want to lean towards Darth Kaprizov or Josh, but it's hard to pin down one guy in there. 3. The Cologne Express have a lot of history in the league, as a former participant in the VHL, do you think that kind of history puts a little bit more pressure on you to perform? Having joined the league post-Cologne (hehe), I don't have much of a connection to the franchise's history. I think bringing an old face into an entirely new league is good for the game, but at the end of the day it's just that, an entirely new league. The history we make here will differ wildly from the Cologne of the VHL. 4. Of any player selected in the VHLE Draft, who would you like to steal for the Cologne Express and why? Genghis Khan, dude was a monster in the VHLM and has continued to be in the VHLE. Would love to pad my stats passing to him when he's automatic for one a night. 5. Who will be the biggest steal of the VHLE Inaugural Draft? I'll say it again, Genghis Khan. Good for a goal a game and he was drafted 64th overall in the ELEVENTH ROUND? Highway robbery. 6. Who will be the biggest bust of the VHLE Inaugural Draft? I'll bite that bullet for now, I should be performing to a much higher standard than I have been, and a league leading 36 PIMs has done nothing but hurt the team. I need to be much better to be worth my draft stock.
  12. The VHLE is... weird. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the level of parity in this league is uncanny. Before the last batch of sims, Cologne led the league with a 5-3 record and a GD of... 0. The New York Islanders of the VHLE if you will, stringent defense and absent offense that ultimately just works. The most recent sim treated the franchise rather harshly, seeing the team drop two games and FIVE STANDINGS SPOTS to fifth in the league, with a .500 record. It's a strange sight when the worst team in the entire league is as good as they are bad, and I don't know how sustainable it is. As the season progresses I would expect we see some separation develop between the teams, however as it stands now the difference between the top and the bottom is 3 points. Rome or Cologne could win one and lose one in OT and as long as the team they beat was Istanbul or Vasteras they'd shoot to the top of the standings. It's a little absurd how tight things stand at the moment, but it is very hard to imagine it staying this way for much longer. Player development will completely change the landscape of the VHLE pretty soon here. Take Istanbul for example, the team is already monstrous with the highest scoring offense in the league, yet they also boast the second leakiest defense. This is somewhat explained when you see their D-core doesn't have a single player over 300 TPA and their DF stat is hovering around 80 (with the glaring exception of a 70). As these players earn more and grow their game, Istanbul will tighten up on the backend and their already dominant offence should continue to get the job done. This will be an interesting season to watch no matter who you're rooting for.

  14. Oh weird, I saw the post McWolf linked and it looked like he was gone
  15. somewhat difficult to be active if you're retired and publicly stepping away from the league
  16. yeah but it frees up a roster spot/gives the active player more starts
