Effective Immediately I'm stepping away from VHL. My addiction to the internet is very great and has seeped too far into my real life. I will no longer be on discord either. Thank you.

I had an idea for a pension plan for those of us that have to take leaves of absence for school or work or just....life in general. 
 
My idea is this: If a player knows they may be leaving for a bit, but still wish to participate at a later time, they could sign up for the pension plan.
 
This pension plan would credit 1 TPE to their account automatically each week.
 
To sign up, the player would fill out the following form in the appropriate thread (To be created later.)

Date of Leave:
Reason for Leave (Brief):
Expected Return (If Known): 
 
 
The rules are as followed:
 
Must have at least 100 TPE at the time of the leave. Leave will grant 1 TPE per week during the time of departure. 10 week Maximum (10 TPE) Can be reapplied for each season. If extenuating circumstances arise, 10 week maximum can be extended on a case-by-case basis. If player returns from leave during pension, but needs to go on leave again during the same season, they are eligible for the remaining weeks of TPE. Leave may be revoked due to breach of honor system/bans/forum activity consistent with return.

1. I expect to play fairly often, and make our team proud. As it's kind of an off year, I hope to do some work in the community to keep busy and positive.
2. Honestly, and I'm not even kidding around...Elias Dahlberg. The kid has a big ol' piehole, but he sure can play.
3. Riga, as they're at the top of their game right now, but honestly,  I wouldn't mind seeing some love for Toronto either.
4. I just want to play a good game of hockey and adjust to my new team and home. I spent 2 seasons in Canada, and I miss it, but I love it here in Switzerland!
5. Lord, I dunno. Probably Dahlberg.
6. Unfortunately, it's probably going to be Davos this year...I ain't sayin' I'm the reason for that...but I'm not NOT saying that, either.

As Marvin Harding stood there, eyes slighted at the realization that Pennypenny was in fact the culprit in the mess, the world stirred, light giving way to darkness and the floor crumbling beneath the muffin shop. Muffin man’s tears dissipated to polychromatic pixels strewn away from his body before he, too, faded away in a similar fashion. Eventually the only ground left to stand on was that under Harding’s feet, the rest of the world engulfed in nothingness, wind swirling in every direction.
 
“Show yourself!” Harding shouted to the ether.
 
“If it is I you truly seek,” a harrowing voice boomed back to the hockey player. “then you must run to every end of this mortal plane, to procure the ultimate truth in the face of my unending presence!”
 
“Fuck you dude!” Marvin responded before the ground underneath his feet gave way. At this point it was only the gusts that influenced his position, as he fell for what felt like an eternity, no discernable difference in where he was or what was surrounding him. Finally, a rift appeared through the nothing, shining brighter than anything ever seen before. It appeared as if Marvin would fall beside the rift, until one more powerful blow changed his course to enter the portal. Through the rip, Harding fell at mach speed until he realized he was back in the world as he knew it, on a collision course with flat, barren ground. His impact was so great it created a crater the size of New Hampshire. There, an unconscious Marvin Harding rested, looking lifeless.
 
“Hello?” an inquisitive figure beckoned, poking at the crumpled man that lay before him.

1. Which of these cities did not have a VHL franchise in S1?
New York is the correct answer. Yes, the Big Apple didn't have a VHL team until one Robbie Zimmers moved the Hamilton Canucks there prior to S7. They would then be the last original eight team to win a cup, getting their first in S14.
 
Stockholm caught a lot of people out, presumably because it doesn't have a team now, or maybe because some people saw/remembered that Vasteras moved to Stockholm in S41. In fact, Riga was based in Stockholm from S1 to S7, first as the Thunder, then as the Rams, while the final, post-Vasteras team was the Vikings. A convoluted and tragic history really.
 
Helsinki and Seattle have had teams since day 1, although in the very first seasons they were known as the Frostbite and Everblades respectively.
 
2. What is the most Continental Cups won by a single player?
Five Continental Cups have been won by two VHL Hall of Famers - Leeroy Jenkins (retired with his fifth cup in S30) and Black Velvet (retired with his fifth cup in S55).
