I was actually exclusively a computer user for a few years; only even started checking the forum on my phone after lots of time had passed.

Desktop VHL is way better and way easier to navigate. I have no idea how some people (I think @Doomsday is one?) manage to do so much off their phones.

I'm on mobile 99.9% of the time. Not too active anymore, but even when I was an M commish, a GM, a VSN writer, I was virtually always on mobile. It's just more convenient. Formatting stinks bad though. You get used to the quirks, but some trivial stuff, like tagging people on mobile for some reasons, is one of the worst things I've ever had to deal with.

  2. The Mothkins are slowly readjusting to life in Europe, after a small stint playing for the Mississauga Hounds of the VHLM at the end of Season 89. The Bratislava Watchmen and the Stockholm Vikings were kind enough to accommodate the two inseparable moth hybrids to allow us to once again play on the same squad.

Sunset Moth had actually never been to mainland Europe before, as she spent most of her childhood on the Isle of Man. But she doesn’t let this or the fact that the competition level between the VHLM and the VHLE is night and day impact the way she plays. She’s been one of the more dominant defensemen of the whole circuit, scoring 5 goals and 15 assists in 20 games, to go with 56 hits and 50 shots blocked. She ranks 2nd in points by blueliners, 3 points behind the leader, and she's tied for 7th in assists. On the other side, she ranks 5th in shots blocked and 8th league wide in hits, proving herself to be a useful two-way defensewoman for the Watchmen.

    1. We've had a tough start to our season. What can explain this?

    2. Give a shoutout to one of your teammates that's playing well despite the team results.

    3. Do you think there is a move we could do to help us get out of this slump?

    4. Is there another in the VHL who's position in the standings surprises you?

    5. Some low ranked media outlet suggested that calling ourselves the « Americans » was disrespectful to the non-American players on the team. What do you think of the name yourself?

    6. What should we name ourselves instead?

  4. :nya: NEW YORK AMERICANS CAPTAINS :nya:

The New York Americans players and staff members held a vote during the offseason to determine who would be the three players representing them as captains and alternates on and off the ice. Here are the lucky players that were selected by this jury of their peers.

Alternate Captain — Jasper Davis @Josh

Jasper Davis has impressed his teammates with his all-around offensive abilities. He looks forward to build from his Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy winning season as he leads our young group on the ice.

Alternate Captain — Zyn Westwood @Sullvino

Zyn Westwood had yet to even stand on the ice with their teammates, and they still felt like they deserved to wear the « A » on their jersey. We're all excited to them in action for their rookie season.

    Captain — Francisco Mancini @GioSivo

Francisco Mancini will represent the team as its 41st captain. The sophomore player has recently signed a three-season extension that will keep him in NYC until S93. We're all hyped to see the culture shift as we enter this new era with our self-proclaimed mob boss at the helm.

    1. The Americans decided to trade away Napoleon Dynamite and Svatopluk Puk to the Los Angeles Stars. Were you surprised by the direction they took?

    2. Are you excited by the addition of Xiver Zilla and WWWWWWWW to the team's prospect pool? Do you know anything about them?

    3. How do stay motivated throughout a rebuild process?

    4. Vegas put our over/under at 20.5 wins. Do you think we win more than that?

    5. What's one aspect of your game you wish you were better at?

    6. If hockey was like baseball and you could choose a walkup song that would play in the arena everytime you enter the action, what song would it be and why?
