I've been playing well lately, and we needed this win after we blew it against Seattle

LETS GO. More production from my player and a win? I'll take it

Bucky___lastard reacted to BOOM in GM 165: Toronto Legion vs. Malmo Nighthawks
I think people have stopped complaining because this is more where we were expected to be, in terms of results and standings.

Bucky___lastard reacted to Gustav in GM 159: New York Americans vs. Malmo Nighthawks
Garcia had more shots than Odinsson. Funny how things work out.
Good to see that we finally were able to beat New York after our losses in games previous.
Also, it seems that Ylonen actually does well against us. @Esso2264 can you make him be good somewhere else?

Europe – last year finish: 1st place – returning players: 6
The defending champions look ready to win the whole thing again. They return 6 players from their gold medal winning team including their leading scorer, Maximilian Kirbsson. The main question for Europe will be, can goalie Owen May step up and match the MVP performance of JB Rift? Europe rode Rift’s incredible performance to victory last year. If they expect to win again this year, they’ll need a similar performance from May because, with 3 VHLM players, Europe’s defense is their biggest liability.
Canada – last year finish: 2nd place – returning players: 2
Canada’s loss in last year’s final sent shockwaves throughout the hockey community. Canada had been so dominant in the World Juniors some thought it would be impossible for them to ever lose. With Canada only returning 2 players from their silver medal squad, this may be their toughest tournament yet. Word on the street is that some of Canada’s defenders might not even want to play hockey anymore. Canadians are hoping their selection to the national team will re-ignite their love of the sport.
World – last year finish: 3rd place – returning players: unknown
Global tensions are at an all-time high and this is evident in the fact the World team hasn’t even announced their roster. Will the people of the World set aside their differences, come together, and form a medal winning junior hockey team? It seems very unlikely.
USA – last year finish: 4th place – returning players: 7
Outside of the locker room, expectations for team USA are muted. Last year’s overwhelming favorites underperformed and missed the podium. People are afraid to back a team the perennially underperforms. Inside the locker room, the team sounds confidant and ready to win it all. USA features 7 returning players including 2 from the all-tournament team, Kyson Blake and Dallas Jones. USA’s offense welcomes the addition of VHL rookie sensation Tegan Glover. Their defense features 4 VHL players and should make things easy on returning goalie Joe Nixon.
Asia – last year finish: 5th place – returning players: 7
Asia had a tough tournament last year. Things don’t look too much better this year. Asia hopes the experience learned by their 7 returning players can bolster them to a podium finish. Top players Matthew Kai and Bald Guy will need to be at the top of the game for Asia to have a chance at getting a medal.

Bucky___lastard reacted to BOOM in Odinsson Press Conferences....
1. No, I don't think so. We've obviously performed beyond expectations so far, but I'm always cautious about over confidence.
2. I wasn't happy with the way that Odinsson was performing as a forward and I thought that he may be more needed as a defenseman. I started with Boomchenko as a DEF so it's a good way to go out with Odinsson.
3. Yes, he's the end of the line. It's time and if being honest, I probably shouldn't have even created him. The VHL flame has been dead for a while.
4. I think I've said it before, but for me it's probably Tordahl because of the success, but I really liked Bismarck Koenigs back story. I could have made him better if I'd stuck with him.
5. Well I should have answered this earlier now that I have games to use as research, but I thought we'd be reasonably successful in the first season. I wasn't thinking possible playoffs, but it's a possibility if we can maintain some momentum. As for individuals, I thought that Materazo and Kovalev would be strong contributors but Glover has been outstanding.
6. Well Vaydar is supposed to be said like it's Vader, as in Darth. It should have been made clearer but I didn't care about it at the time.

Bucky___lastard reacted to FakeJenton in US Team Getting Slight Nod As WJC Approaches
As we all know, the yearly World Junior Championship is very quickly coming up, and with that, the excitement is not far behind. For many young players this will be their first chance to represent their respective countries and bring back a gold medal, as well as the glory that comes with it.
The official rosters have just been released and it looks like the United States team have established themselves as the slight favorites leading in to the festivities. The USA team will be an offensive powerhouse and at the helm is Teagan Glover. Glover with already thirty-seven points just twenty-nine games into the VHL season with his Malmo Nighthawks, seems unstoppable and will be looking to keep that offensive production rolling. The United States team are not to reckoned with on the defensive end as well with defensemen Dallas Jones and Jerry Garcia seemingly playing shut-down defense through the VHL season as well.
Even though the US team may be getting the slight nod heading in, this will by no means be a cake walk. It seems as if all the World Junior Teams are overflowing with ability and potential so we are very excited to see how this years competition will play out. Though one thing is to be certain, you will not want to miss it.

Bucky___lastard reacted to rjfryman in GM 150: Vancouver Wolves vs. Helsinki Titans
Beau Louth with 19 PIMS and was ejected from the game at 13:55 of 2nd period. I guess that is why I wasn't able to get any assists giving it to him this game. Good tight win Vancouver but we need to stay in the game. The third nothing happened.

Bucky___lastard reacted to Matt_O in Official USA Roster, S66 WJC
It's that time of year again. Its time for the World Juniors! As the great nation of America, we pride ourselves with great achievement. Last year, was a total and utter failure. This year will be different, I assure you. After the shenanigans that happened with the last roster, lets take a look at the new and improved roster:
Bert Meyers @RunnerBert11
Teagan Glover @Bucky___lastard
Orion Slade @BluObieZ
Brian Strong @Wheaties
Matteo @tunedtorock
Kyson Blake @TMI
Aleksander Rodriguez @Jtv123
Eric Parker @Eparker24
Kyle Sabertooth @uphillmoss
Dallas Jones @Trifecta
Jerry Garcia @GustavMattias
Charlie Paddywagon @DMaximus
Apollo Hackett @Renomitsu
Joe Nixon @Bonzaijoe
Justin Cole @WhiteMocha
Sorry if you have already been tagged and got re-tagged
Overall the roster stayed the same, except Brian Strong replaced Emil Passerelli. I did this because Strong has been more active. The original decision to put Passerelli on the team instead of Strong was due to Passerelli simming very well.

Bucky___lastard reacted to Matt_O in Teagan Glover should be in the MVP conversation
Teagan Glover (@Bucky___lastard) should be in the MVP conversation. As a seemingly unknown rookie, and the 33rd pick in the VHL draft, he has put up 36 points in Malmo's first 27 games, and hasn't slowed down at all, and yet nobody seems to care. I haven't heard a word about Glover from anyone besides the Malmo locker room. He sits fourth in the league in points, ahead of big names such as Beau Louth, Matt Thompson, and Julian Borwinn, and is way ahead of talents like Rylan Peace, Robert Malenko, Elias Dahlberg and Podrick Cast. He has nine points on the second placed point guy on Malmo (Vaydor Odinsson). While JHC has been in the spotlight of Malmo's success, Glover deserves far more credit than he is getting. JHC is having an incredible season, but the second highest scoring offense in the league (only behind Moscow, wtf?) isn't being caused by JHC. Thats all Glover and Lynch. Not me, I suck. I considered picking Glover in fantasy, but I took myself instead since I though Glover would slow down and I would pick up. Well, Glover has kept trucking along and I have become a benchwarmer in the last ten games. Well, all I'm trying to say is that Teagan Glover needs way more attention than he is getting

Bucky___lastard reacted to bluesfan55 in A Revelation on TPE Charges
Recently, it has been alleged that TPE is a performance enhancing drug. I have a stunning revelation for you all. This may sound crazy, but trust me, this isn’t. I’ve spent hundreds of hours researching this. EVERYONE IN THE LEAGUE JUICES. Not just me. Not just all of the superstars. EVERYBODY! From your top prospects in the VHLM to stars in the VHL, everyone uses TPE. And you can’t tell me otherwise. How the hell do players like Preencarnacion, Ironside, Kastelic, Davis, and Glover score a shit ton of points? It’s not just because they’re all naturally talented players who spend a lot of time in the gym. It’s because their GMs secretly buy TPE from an unknown middleman who lives in the middle of the Pacific Oceans and juice up everybody’s drinks. The league’s scoring numbers are unusually high for a reason. Everybody. USES. T. P. E!!!!!! Everyone here is a god damn juicer. I do it. You do it. Your best friend probably does it. Why? Because we are a league of juicers. It’s like body building. Using PEDs is legal. In hockey, it normally isn’t, but this league seems to turn a blind eye to any allegations of performance enhancing drugs. Make a stand, for fucks sake. Show everyone there that juicing is not ok. It is mentally, physically, and pretty much in every way wrong. Start punishing juicers instead of praising them for their PED use. It’s just like the steroid era of the MLB from the mid 1990s to early 2000s. Everybody that is decent juices.
(jk let’s keep using dem drugs)
