If you are even the smallest bit involved in the VHLM, you will know the user @Shindigs and his mighty Las Vegas Aces. Shindigs took over the team in S83 after the stepdown of MubbleFubbles. Since then, Shindigs has managed his team to perfection, winning back to back Founder's Cups in S83 and S84, while at the same time winning two Prime Minister's Cups (Best Regular Season Record). Currently in his third season under management, Shindigs has lead his team to another Prime Minister's Cup and is heading to a third consecutive Founder's Cup Final after winning the last two. The Aces will face the Philadelphia Reapers this season in the finals, and after meeting 9 times this season, Vegas heads into this series winning 5 of 9. This looks to be a close upcoming series, but Philadelphia is only a pond to Shindig's game. Here I will give some short examples of why Shindigs needs to be stopped for his dirty ways.
Example 1: Juan Ceson
User @dylanjj37 is a recreate member known for his lengthy VHLM careers with his players. His currently player, Juan Ceson, was obviously a player created to play "one season", as it literally says it in the name. Ceson was drafted to the Saskatoon Wild but shortly after was traded to the Las Vegas Aces under the power of MubbleFubbles. All seemed normal and fair until Shindigs took over the Aces the next season and used his Swedish influence to keep user dylanjj37 in Vegas for more than one season. I have no evidence of this but trust me bro. Their conversations in the Swedish language would become dangerous, as Juan Ceson is still currently a player for the Las Vegas organization, completely going against his original plans of only playing one season. This just goes to show that Shindigs is a Swedish manipulator and probably an undercover agent of the SII (Swedish Investigators of IKEA).
Example 2: Las Vegas Doesn't Lose
Does it not mind boggle everyone that Vegas has not lost a season under the power of Shindigs? This goes back to my manipulator idea and he obviously manipulated the BOG team to get him on the squad. This would result in Shindigs cheating by having the same powers as user @MexicanCow123, and therefore resulting in Shindigs using these powers to make Cow give Vegas the best sims. This can also be seen as fellow BOG member @Beketov was the simmer for the VHLM last season. I don't know what goes on in the blues discord chat, but I can assure you it is all bad things to destroy the VHLM by keeping Vegas in the trophy case.
Example 3: I Created This Monster
I am one to blame for the monster I created in Shindigs. When Shindigs joined the VHL, he chose Miami for his first player to play on. With his funny graphics of The Board Game Clue On Skates surfacing, myself and Mubble were Vegas' GM and AGM at the time, and thought it was a good idea to invite this foreigner to our discord channel. This was hands down my biggest regret of my VHL career. Shindigs was too nice and active, spreading his roots around the league after joining our locker room. We thought this innocent member was cool and we helped him learn about the league, but this would soon end up with Shin taking over our Vegas team in S83, and then destroying the league.
Conclusion
In conclusion, this media spot is not serious at all and I thought it would be funny and good clickbait. Shindigs obviously has not destroyed the VHLM, he is just a really good GM. I love Shin, he is a huge part of the VHL community and deserves everything he has gotten out of Vegas. I am extremely happy to see him succeed with Vegas, coming from a Vegas GM alumni, and I do hope he can win another cup before resigning. Thanks for everything you do Shin and good luck in the finals this season! Sorry that the title was misleading, I just need views and reactions.
20th Annual Unofficial VHL Regular Season Awards – S85
Another exciting regular season has come to a close. That means we can dole out some regular season awards! Welcome everyone to the 20th Annual Unofficial VHL Regular Season Awards honoring the highs and lows of S85! Thank you to everyone that reads this. And yes you’re reading that correctly, this has been going on for 20 seasons!
These awards have been created by me. There is no voting process and they are not officially recognized by the VHL Board of Governors.
For each award, I list the winners from the last 5 seasons. If you want to check out the award winners from every season, use this link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1sAZtX3bxVpPTIsKe1rSRVOenH1-iyWzbQEdR9ZvYOdU/edit?usp=sharing
I also document the “all-time” record for each category. Of course, by that I mean all-time for the existence of these awards, not all-time, all-time. Clear? Ok, good. Let’s get things underway!
The Pylon Award (worst +/- rating) – Daniel Clarke @Danzo
Riga owned the top 5 (or bottom 5 depending on your perspective) spots in this category. Daniel Clarke stood above (below) their teammates and took the award home with a -65.

The Gandhi Award (least penalty minutes, min 1,000 minutes played) – Girts Galvins @Girts
Florida Man’s @zepheter winning of the award last season has done quite a number on this award. Everyone’s going crazy and committing penalties now. Girts Galvins wins the award this season with an all-time high 6 PIM. Remember, the purpose of the award is for the least penalty minutes! The goal isn’t to get some penalties and hope everyone else gets more.

The Major2 Award (most major penalties) - Vinny Detroit @dasboot
Based on their play style and high PIM in previous seasons, it’s shocking this is Vinny’s first win of this award. A very strong 12 majors gets the award in Mr. Detroit’s battered hands.

The Timex Award (received most hits) – Perry Laperriere @KaleebtheMighty
A recent trend of this award was that the overall points leader also took home this award. It make sense, to score a lot, you need to have the puck a lot, which means you get hit a lot. Perry Laperriere broke that streak. They won this award with 339 hits taken. Points leader Daniel Janser @Daniel Janser, finished 9th in this category with 273 hits taken.

The John Wayne Award (most shots on goal) - Zaza Colors @McWolf
Zaza Colors painted the opposing goalies with black by splattering 566 shots on goal. Although I hadn’t considered until now that the pucks in this sim might not be black. Maybe each team uses pucks that are their colors. In that world Colors really lived up to their name then. The multi-colored puck world, that’s a world I want to live in.

I had to double check my work here because the next closest Chicago player was 20th in the league. It’s really difficult to understand how a player could spend so much more time on the powerplay than their teammates, but Bo made it happen and led the league with 344 minutes on the powerplay.

The Sean Archer Award (highest face-off win %, min 1,000 faceoffs) – AWARD SUSPENDED
The Castor Troy Award (lowest face-off win %, min 1,000 faceoffs) – AWARD SUSPENDED
I talked about this in last season’s award show. Basically the face-off % in the stats index is broken. For example, the top player won 30.86% of their face-offs. Then when you go into their individual player page, it shows they won 35% of their face-offs. Something’s wrong because they don’t match but also there’s no way the top face-off % was 35%. There’s a player who took 2 face-offs, their reported % is 30.71, a mathematically impossible result. Last season I was able to cobble together who I think won the awards and handed them out. That took more time and effort than it should and I’m not even sure it’s accurate. Because of all that, we’re not handing out the face-off awards this season. Hopefully whatever bug is causing this gets fixed in the future.
The Triple Deke Award (most penalty shot goals) - Hammar Voss @BOOM
This award is normally reserved for the top skilled forwards in the league, but defenseman Hammer Voss is changing the norm. They won this awards by scoring 6 penalty shot goals. More than any other defenseman or forward in the league. Great stuff!

The Rocky Award (most fights won) – Vinny Detroit @dasboot
There’s two ways to win this award, get in a couple of fights and win them all or get in a lot of fights and win simply though the sheer volume of opportunity. Vinny Detroit went with the later. They racked up 12 fights this season, ending with a 5-3-3 record. The 5 fight wins nets them this award, but who’s the best fighter this season will still be debated with many fans pointing to the more impressive 4-1-3 Jared Carter the 2st @jaredc7

The Glass Joe Award (most fights lost) – Henri le Massif @Garsh
There’s many signs that can indicate it’s time to retire. Getting repeatedly punched in the face is one of those signs. Henri le Massif read the signs from their league worst 3 fights lost and retired at the end of the season. Two other players also lost 3 fights, Rocky Award winner Vinny Detroit and tied-for-this-same-award-last-season-but-also-didn’t-win-because-of-the-tiebraker Cadmael Ixazaluoh @Vice. Massif won on the tiebreaker because of their overall fight record of 0-3-2.

Special recognition to Zach Kisslinger II @Kisslinger and Nico Pearce @Spartan who tied for the league lead with 14 first stars. Also shout-out to Augustus Kennedy @InstantRockstar who led all goalies with 22 total stars. And of course Clueless Wallob @DMaximus who led the goalies with 12 first stars.

<Copypasta on how to do lines>
Anyway, you all know the drill by now, GM's are no longer required to email in their lines to submit them. To send in your lines please use the Team Management section of the portal. The process for downloading the client file and using STHS to make your lines is still the same, and if you have manual requests due to waiver pick ups or other roster changes please PM me your notes through Discord.

Jerome Reinhart has only spent one season with the London United but in that time has shown his dedication to the game, his leadership on and off the ice and a level of professionalism that is an example to all. It is with great excitement, and the utmost of respect that the London United congratulate Jerome Reinhart on achieving his 700th career point (273 Goals, 427 Assists). To acknowledge this milestone the London United Players and Management would like to announce that the last regular season home game of Season 85 will be a Jerome Reinhart appreciation game.
Some of the events that fans will experience are : Before the game we will be doing an engraved stick presentation to commemorate this achievement, we will be hosting a video tribute to Jerome during the first intermission and, we will be giving Jerome bobblehead collectables to the first 5000 fans. Additional details will continue to be released as we approach the day.
Jerome (@MexicanCow123) congratulations on this amazing career milestone. We know that you have much more to show us, we look forward to celebrating more accomplishments with you.
As Captain of the team I would personally like to take an opportunity to thank you for the leadership you display on the ice and in the locker room. Your wisdom and guidance are a tremendous asset to this team as we continue to grow and compete. Thank you and congratulations.
Also remember not everyone is in the same timezone. Some have a drastic time difference. Sims are typically done at 7pm pst. Which is my time zone. It's okay Mexican cow. I understand now. I appreciate the hard work you put into this. I am glad and thankful to be in this hockey community. Keep up the good work.

You don't need any more TPE job pay
I would like to clarify, Jacob would do a great job with this. I don't question that. However I have heard him numerous times note he can't claim TPE as he is getting points from GM and other jobs. So if you have other candidates that will do a good job and currently don't have other positions, you should consider them.
