  3. Firstly, congrats on your first point in the VHML. Now to the review. Use Bolded headings and separate the paragraphs. Nice references though lol. Good content and it stood out as something a little different. Not gonna lie I found myself chuckling throughout the story. Very good job
  4. Thanks for making bolded headings and clean paragraphs. A very easy read. Good story too. Is it ok to say it gave me a Rudy feel? In a good way obviously. Like your writing a lot man. Can't wait to review more
  5. Need better spacing when writing paragraphs, adding some headings would probably help. You could have dug into why she was on the men's team in high school. How she chose to the vhl over the NWHL. I like the addition of a female player into the league. But a little backwards to say she gets around and has family issues. There was also a lot of content, but lacked in details outside of the statistics. Overall it wasn't bad.
  6. I personally would leave the pros and cons for the rookie profile, and the interview for a media article. The actual biography portion is north of 600 words. He sounds like a tool, so that's good writing on your part. I think you gave him good personality depth. It was an easy read and didn't find myself getting bored or lost. TBH I think it's a good job but just a little lacking in biographical content
  7. Who said anything about Russia. Pshhhhhhhhhhh Not me. Would never do that......never
  8. VHL.COM~ Stockholm, Sweden Poppy Harlow Civil unrest stirs in downtown Stockholm. One of the more relevant countries for hockey in the past century has been left out of the global hockey league. Despite an abundance of Swedish players in the VHL the large nation has no reason to believe they will be granted an expansion team any time soon. Some Swedish citizens have traveled to the Finnish capital of Helsinki to protest the lack of Swedish representation in the league. The protesters were chanting "You take our players but leave us out. You steal our money and our clout". It was surprising that they knew perfect English but this reporter does not give her opinion. I returned to Sweden to discuss the lack of involvement with Swedish leader Silvia Renate Sommerlath. In summary she stated great frustration that the home country had not been given an opportunity to show their strength. She threatened to bar any Swedes from entering the league if Stockholm was not granted a team by 2023. It's a dark day for the VHL world, will her threats influence the league or not?
  9. A recent interview with Owen May is available on the Radio.com app and the wgr550 website. The transcript is available here in VHL.com. (Intro Playing) Craig Rivet: This is hour two of our March 1st broadcast, we just got off the phone with Darren Dreager discussing the Buffalo Sabres trade deadline acquisition. Finally, the people of Buffalo have some feel good hockey stories after the depression of the tragic Sabres skid. Marty Biron: A little morbid there, eh Rives? C: Rough morning driving in. But I digress. So we have Owen May, a goaltender from Buffalo, drafted 24th overall in the VHLM entree draft by the Houston Bulls on the phone. How are you doing Owen? O: Great Guys, How are you? C: We're doing just fine, so how are you enjoying the Texas weather? O: I like that I don't have to shovel in the morning but having the a/c on in February is a bit much. Andrew Peters: Isn't hockey always in a/c? (chuckles) O: I guess so, but when I come home I like to be a nice temperature. Be able to go under the covers when I go to bed. Luckily this paycheck will cover my electrical bill. C: Alright we'll get to the real questions, how do you feel about your hometown Sabres? O: It appears to be a mess over there doesn't it? It may not be the results we wanted but we're still growing. M: Didn't we want to cheer the people up? Let's talk about our budding goaltender eh? C: Of course you're only interested in the goalie aspect. So the VHL has been competing against the NHL for the world's attention and slowly the VHL has begun to catch up. Do you think the VHL will become the world's most popular hockey league? O: Soon, I think the league is more global compared to the NHL. Though they have games in Finland and China, they don't give the feel of a true hockey team. Having teams in Europe gives the VHL a bonus. M: Any intention of coming to the NHL? O: I can't imagine myself being in the NHL if I'm not wearing the blue and gold. The VHL has welcomed me much warmer than the NHL. I'm very content with travelling across the world to play. Much rather go to Europe then Glendale [AZ] A: Do you think that call will ever come from Buffalo? O: Being honest, I don't think so. I think they have good goalie depth and I don't think I'm even on their watchlist. If I were to sign with them I'd want to play in the NHL not spend time in the AHL. I love Rochester, but it doesn't give the same atmosphere of the VHL. I love the organization, watched them from a young age but I want to be in a top league consistently. C: So, have you taken anything from Marty's game when you were watching as a kid? O: Haha I can't say I tried taking his fighting ability. But I make sure to rewatch the brawl to get my visual training from Petey. A: Well he is the weakest of us all M: Well I got better things to do den throw my fists around. I was a little more concerned with da puck going in de back of de net. C: Alright, before we start a war, we're heading for break, so thank you Owen, we'll talk to you later. Good luck this season and we can't wait for your call up. O: Thanks Guys!

  12. So what's canon? Is there a story behind the disappearance of the NHL? Does it still exist?

  14. VHL.COM ~ Buffalo, NY By- Gloria Borger II As vicious winds sweep through the northeast, many people have been left without power. The lack of power has not stopped people from posting to twitter to thank @TheRealOwenMay. The recent VHLM draft pick has spent some time back home as he prepares for his rookie season. During his time home, May has been found helping around the community. Yesterday, May was found at a local soup kitchen. Tonight he's been aiding the community by cleaning up debris caused by the strong winds. When interviewed, a town member was quoted saying the following: " It's really nice for a guy who has better things to do with his time, still help out the less fortunate. He feels like a real blue collar kind of guy and I think that really speaks to the city. We can't wait to see him make the VHL in the future and we'll be watching him from a distance." May failed to comment and asked that any responses be kept off record. May appeared that he didn't not want to make anyone uncomfortable and preferred to address the situation he was presented. A humble beginning for a young man. We can only hope that his positive attitude will win out the day and become a staple for many young VHL players.

Normally I would say no because you have added a decent amount but I’m feeling generous this morning so yeah, @Sonnet, go ahead and reset him.

This is your one and only freebie, don’t make me regret it.
