DoktorFunk reacted to AJW in Can Seattle do it again?
The Seattle Bears have secured 2nd place in the NA conference, and still have a chance (a low chance) at taking first place after tonight's sims. We have been a strong team all season after making some big moves in the off-season to free cap space. I really did not know how we would shape up after losing Detroit and Chara, but we have held our own and sit comfortably heading into the playoffs. The big question is though, can Seattle go back to back?

In STHS the answer seems to always be maybe. This sim engine can bless you or destroy you whenever it feels like it. I would say the sim engine has been blessing us so far, but it helps to have the talented roster that Seattle has built for S84. Starting with our goaltender, Dusty Wilson. Wilson has been in the system for the Bears for three seasons, drafted at 44th overall in the S82 draft, he has been working his way up to the VHL while struggling to find his way in the minors. He never really had a solid starting position until now and in his rookie season, where he holds a 39-18-5 record with a 0.924 SV%. I would say for a 500 TPE goaltender in his first season, that's pretty damn good. Wilson is now earning 10+ TPE each week and should be Seattle's main guy for a while.

For our defence I have to guess we have one of the main cores in the league. Hogan, Steve, Bana, and newly acquired Spyro, all with great builds. Spyro did retire recently at 435 TPA, but the other three defenders can pull his weight for sure. Torq has the least amount of points of the three with 59 in 70 games, amazing for defence. They are great for shot blocking and hitting as well and overall protect our blue line and goaltender to standards.

For the forwards now. Like I said earlier I did not know what losing Detroit and Chara would do for us, but apparently we are doing pretty alright without them. Jonathan Ori was picked up this season and seems to be our best playmaker with 56 assists, leading our team. Bushtit was also acquired this season, but is in his earlier stages of his career, so not much has been done except development. The stat I enjoy the most about this team is that we have four forwards with 30+ goals. I am pretty sure there are only four other teams who have done the same. So it is really cool to see that we have a diverse group when it comes to goal scoring.

So that is the team but how do we stack up against the league. So we are 2nd in NA and 3rd in the league. We do have a couple losing records this season and unfortunately they are all against top ranked teams:

    1st. Moscow: 1-3-0
    2nd. DC: 1-4-0
    4th. Helsinki: 1-3-0
    5th. Warsaw: 1-2-1

Having losing records against all of the top 5 teams does not bring you confidence I will tell you that! But in the end I have the trust in Bana and the team he has built. We have what we need to win, and playoffs are a whole different story, anything can happen.

DoktorFunk reacted to scoop in Decades of VHL Trivia
During the 15 real-life years that the VHL has been around, we have gone through over 80 simulated seasons. A lot has happened during that time, and some of it is more noteworthy than others. Some of these things are somewhat inconsequential, but for those who love trivia and league history (such as myself), they can still be fun to look at. That is why I have prepared for you all eight facts, one for every ten-season span of the league's history. In particular, my research focused on awards and Hall of Fame trivia, so that is what I have for you. I don't have anything from the S80's decade, because clearly nothing worth mentioning has happened, and that would be one more thing I would have to write about. Let's get going!

Eye of the Tijger [the only former Amstel Tijger in the Hall of Fame]
One thing that the early seasons of the VHL had that we don't see as much nowadays are relocations. Those who are not familiar with league history may not know of the Amstel Tijgers, who played in the VHL for a single season before spending some time as the Avangard Havoc, and eventually settling in Davos and becoming the Dynamo. With just a single season played in Amsterdam, Tijgers fans didn't have much opportunity to witness Hall of Fame talent on the ice. There was one player from that squad, however, who did end up enshrined in the Hall of Fame: Petr Shirokov.

The only Hall of Fame player to ever wear a Tijgers jersey, Shirokov played just four seasons in the VHL. Upon his retirement, he was part of the inaugural Hall of Fame ceremony. While you could argue that the VHL, still being in its infancy, did not yet have the need for a Hall of Fame, Petr Shirokov was definitely a star of the early years. Looking at his career through the lens of today's VHL, it may be hard to understand why Shirokov would have been inducted, but this was a different era. Besides, without Shirokov in the Hall, the Amstel Tijgers would be the only team to have no former players in the Hall of Fame, and that wouldn't be fun.

Switch Hitter [the only player to win both a forward-specific and defenseman-specific award]
Within the sim world of the VHL, a player who is a good forward is almost certainly going to be a good defenseman as well, and vice versa. Still, players for the most part stay as a forward or defenseman, but there are cases where players switch sides, be it for necessity for the team's lineup or simply a desire to change things up. It is never the most noteworthy thing when it happens, but factor this in with the position-restricted awards, and we have the recipe for a trivial fact: only one player in VHL history has won both the Scott Boulet Trophy (given to the top Two-Way Forward) and any one of the Sterling Labatte, Jake Wylde, and Alexander Valiq Trophies (the awards given to the Top Defenseman, Top Defensive Defenseman, and Top Offensive Defenseman, respectively). That player was Matt Bailey.

Beginning his career as a right wing, Bailey quickly established himself as one of the best two-way forwards (a term which we use more to describe power forwards) in the VHL. He won his first Boulet Trophy in just his second season of play and followed it up with two more in S14 and S15. Midway through his career, his Helsinki Titans needed more defensemen on the roster, so Bailey made the switch. In the final season of his career, his fourth as a defenseman, Bailey won the Labatte Trophy, making him the first and, to this day, only player to have won a position-specific trophy at two different positions. While this doesn't necessarily mean he is the best ever to play as both a forward and a defenseman, he is at least near the top of the list.

The Last First MVP [the first MVP from the last original franchise to have an MVP]
If you look at a list of the Scotty Campbell Trophy winners from the first 23 seasons, something that will likely stand out to you is that all but one of them were won by someone playing for Seattle, Toronto, Calgary, or Davos. Three franchises had yet to have a player to be named MVP, but that would change relatively quickly from that point on. In Season 24, Tarik Saeijs became the first Titan to win the award (Helsinki would boast two of the next three as well), and Andres Bjorkman bucked the trend for Riga in Season 27. That left just the Americans franchise as the only one without a Most Valuable Player to their name. It was in the following season that goaltender Benjamin Glover became the first MVP for the last of the original eight teams to be represented.

(A quick note: I did not specifically intend to write about my player; I sought out this information not realizing who it would be).

Just as the Americans franchise has been remarkably pathetic in the last couple decades of the VHL, they were known as one of the worst in the first couple decades as well. They did have a window in the era of Grimm Jonsson, during which they won their first Continental Cup, when they could have potentially produced an MVP, but Davos had a stranglehold on the award at the time. Instead it took until Season 28, when Glover's career high 0.929 save percentage and 51 wins were enough to earn him the hardware. While he may not have quite been the most outstanding overall, he stood well above the other goalies and was pivotal in New York's 115-point season.

Star-Studded Failure [the team with the most Hall of Fame players on their roster]
The Americans were a good team during Glover's playing career, but they fell short in the finals in each of their five appearances. While this was still seen as a turnaround for the franchise that only had six playoff appearances in total through 23 seasons, things got even better in coming years. Over 22 seasons from S32 to S53, the Americans won six Continental Cups. This entry is not about their success, however. In Season 38, the New York roster included more Hall of Famers than any other team in VHL history. With that in mind, it's no surprise that they won the Victory Cup by 15 points over the next closest team. It was a surprise, however, when they won just two games in the playoffs.

While this collection of all-time greats were not all playing in their prime, and one of them was a backup goalie for the season, the team was the best in the regular season. They were led by Tuomas Tukio's swan song in which he won his second consecutive Campbell Trophy, an in-his-prime Odin Tordahl's sweep of the scoring leaderboards, and Conner Low's third of five consecutive Labatte Trophies. In addition, they had Xin Xie Xiao in his third season and Tom Slaughter in his second. Brick Wahl was aforementioned backup to Tukio, and the final future Hall of Famer on the team was Wesley Kellinger, playing in the prime of his career. Up until recently, Kellinger was not in the Hall of Fame, as he had to wait 38 seasons before enshrinement. It wasn't until then that this Americans squad officially had a record seven future Hall of Famers. As I said, though, it still wasn't enough in the playoffs, as they were dispatched by the Toronto Legion in the Conference Finals.

Offensive Vision [the most recent player to lead the league in both goals and assists]
In three of the first four seasons, the league leader in goals was also the league leader in assists. Brett Slobodzian did it twice, while Scotty Campbell was the other during this time. Grimm Jonsson accomplished the feat in Season 15, and as previously mentioned, Odin Tordahl did it in Season 38. The fifth, and most recent, player to earn both the Kevin Brooks and the Alexander Beketov Trophies in the same season was Thomas O'Malley of the Cologne Express in Season 44. The VHL has gone 39 seasons without another player replicating this success, though it's not impossible, and we will likely see it again at some point, as just recently in Season 77, Andrew Su came within one goal of joining this elite group.

O'Malley came into the league in Season 40 with an incredible rookie campaign, but his numbers declined over the next two seasons. In Season 43, he turned things around for good, with his 53 goals good for the league lead and his 78 assists just three shy. The next season when he led the league in both, it wasn't particularly close. His career-high 59 goals was five higher than his closest competition, and his 76 assists gave him a cushion of six. In no sort of surprise, he was named the MVP that season, an award he would win in the next two seasons as well. He would never again, however, lead the league in either goals or assists, but he did lead in points during his second and third MVP campaigns.

Losing When it Counts [the best regular season record to fail to reach the Finals]
The Calgary Wranglers finished the VHL's first regular season with an astounding 69-3-0 record. To date, this is the best regular season performance by a team, and it is one that is very unlikely to ever be topped. Famously, this team lost in the Finals to Vasteras; but hey, at least they made it there, right? Only two other teams in VHL history have finished the regular season with over 130 points: the S51 Calgary Wranglers (64-4-4, 132 points) and the S54 Stockholm Vikings (66-4-2, 134 points). In the playoffs, however, these two teams fare no better than the Season 38 Americans. Earning the bye into the Conference Finals, the Wranglers fell in five games. Since my article is about records, however, I will be focusing on the Season 54 Vikings, as they have the best regular season record by a team that failed to even make it to the Finals.

In the regular season, the Vikings were an incredible team. Their record (again, the second best ever) speaks to that more than anything else can, but it's definitely worth mentioning that their +182 goal differential is in the top ten of all time. The offense was led by Tyson Kohler and Pietro Maximoff, with 54 and 53 goals, respectively. Rhett DeGrath was a wall in front of the net, winning the Aidan Shaw Trophy with a 0.933 save percentage. This would actually be the only award won by this team, which really got things done more as a unit than they did with star power (that's not to say they didn't have elite talent). Their opponent in the Conference Finals would be the 108-point Titans, against whom the Vikings were a mere 5-2-1 in the regular season. In the six-game series, Stockholm managed to score just ten goals, and DeGrath posted an abysmal 0.879 save percentage.

The Long Wait [the longest wait time from retirement to Hall of Fame enshrinement]
Not everyone can make the Hall of Fame on their first or second ballot, though the majority of them have. For some, it only takes a few more seasons due to competitive ballots. Then there are those who the voters just aren't sure about. These guys might get some consideration after their retirement but never quite enough. Then, maybe due to timing or a shift in voters, everything aligns and they get the call. With statute of limitations on Hall of Fame voting, some players can wait a very long time. I mentioned Wesley Kellinger's 38-season wait earlier, and just a couple seasons before he got in, Mike Szatkowski Jr. was voted in after 33 seasons. These two rank second and third in terms of time waited behind Matthias Chouinard, a Season 18 draftee who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in Season 68.

The Season 18 VHL Draft was very good. Very, very good. Six of the players from this draft, now that Chouinard has joined them, are in the Hall of Fame; this is more than any draft class outside of the inaugural draft class (no surprise this one leads the way). At the time of the draft, Chouinard was underdeveloped compared to many of his peers, so he fell to the middle of the third round when the Calgary Wranglers picked him. He didn't make his VHL debut until Season 20, limiting his career to just six seasons, but in that time he won three Continental Cups. In his 434 game career, he had 286 goals and 624. While there are some who thought he should have made his way into the Hall earlier, his 42 seasons spent waiting could honestly have gone on even longer. When he did finally get in, it was the fifth consecutive Hall of Fame class that included just a single player.

Rayzing the Cup [the player with the most Playoff MVPs]
When the Seattle Bears won the Continental Cup in Season 73, the list of players with at least four VHL championships grew from nine to 14. It was the fourth win in six seasons for the Bears, and the quintet of Scott Greene, Ambrose Stark, Hulk Hogan, Berocka Sundqvist, and Rayz Funk were there for it all. You are going to find success when you are able to keep a unit together like that, and while they all deserve credit for the role they played on the team, it's hard to not single out one of them in particular as the linchpin of their playoff success. That, of course, would be the Rayz Funk, who was named playoff MVP in each of those four cup-winning seasons.

Only two players have ever won the Daisuke Kanou Trophy more than twice. The first was Daisuke Kanou himself. In Season 71, Funk matched him, and then in Season 73 he surpassed him. Although Funk never stood atop the goalie ranks in the regular season, he was a star when it came to the post-season. In three seasons, his playoff save percentage was at least 0.935, and he was below a 0.924 save percentage just once. In his playoff career, he had a 55-20-10 record with a 0.930 save percentage. Seattle has him to thank for a great deal of their success during that era. I give very little chance of any player ever topping his playoff MVP count; at best, maybe someone will tie him within the next 83 seasons.

DoktorFunk reacted to JCarson in Season Final Interview with Molly the Cat
Molly the Cat, the Season 84 VHLE regular season is almost at an end and the Vasteras Iron Eagles have pretty much locked up third place in the league. Tell me how you are feeling about the playoffs and your first-round opponents?

Although we have basically locked up third in the conference, we do not yet know who our first-round opponents will be. The Bratislava Watchman and Istanbul Red Wolves sit tied with 92 points each. It is going to be a fierce fight for first place. Either way it turns out, the Vasteras Iron Eagles are working hard to get into playoff shape. We know that we need to focus on ourselves and make sure we are prepared for the playoff battle ahead. We are feeling good about our chances.

Molly the Cat, are you surprised about how strong a season that Istanbul and Bratislava have had this year?

Not really. If you look at the two teams, they have a strong core of players who are contributing every night. On top of that they have some exceptional talent that is leading them in scoring. I am not surprised by any of the players leading the teams as I had the chance to play with all of them with the San Diego Marlins. In Istanbul you have Fraser Wallace, a fast well-balanced center with spectacular vision and hockey sense. There is not a goalie on the ice who can figure out what he is going to do when he has the puck. With his talent he can either choose to score or can dish it to anyone on the ice. In 68 games he is sitting with 41 goals and 43 assists, a threat no matter what.

You then look at Bratislava and you have the combination of Tyler Busser and AK92 Wit da Hoodie. The combination of raw offensive ability in Tyler Busser and the defensive depth and playmaking ability of AK92 Wit da Hoodie and it is no surprise they are doing as well as they are. San Diego Marlins alumni continuing to grow together, and build off each other. These two are going to be offensive forces for years to come. I hope the VHL is ready for them.

Molly the Cat, as you finish this year and look forward to your VHL career with London United is there any one aspect of the game you are focusing on?

That is an exceptionally good question, over the last season I have spent a bit of time focusing on a variety of offensive skills, working on my strength, shooting, passing, etc. But as I enter my VHL career I am spending time on my defensive skills. Through conversations with existing VHL talent I have come to the realization that those aspects designated as defensive abilities help with tasks like puck retrieval, forcing turnovers and blocking passes out of the offensive zone. Applying the Defensive skills in the offensive zone can allow for more puck time and more opportunities to score.

Molly the Cat, one last question. In our very first interview this season you noted that your goal was to hit 50 points this season. With 4 games left do you think you will reach it?

It is not going to be easy; I will need a few multipoint games, but I am not writing it off yet. I am going to push right to the end.

DoktorFunk reacted to dogwoodmaple in Maple Rallies the Community to Save Zoo Animals from Flood
Whether it's scoring, passing, or even blocking a shot for his teammates, it certainly appears that Vasteras' rookie Dogwood Maple.  Well you can apparently add animal rescuer to his list of accolades.

It all started with the City of Vasteras being mired in the worst drought in their entire history. It hadn't rained for 81 days and temperatures had been constantly rising, which led to the disaster.  On Friday, the forecast called for precipitation and the population was overjoyed.  But that joy quickly turned to shock as the rain came on Monday and did not stop.  It was a constant deluge for seven days and quickly went from a small amount of water to devastating floods.  One area of the city that was hit hardest was the Vasteras Zoo, which is in one of the valleys in the city and unfortunately a target for rushing flood waters.  When Maple heard the news about the impending flood, he raced into action. He got in his boat and went straight to the Zoo.

By the time he got there, the waters had already started to rise and many of the employees were desperately trying to save the animals.  Luckily for them, and the animals, Maple did not come alone.  He lined up an armada of boats to head down there and help.  The entire Vasteras roster showed up as well as hundreds of people from the community that he rallied together.  They brought boats, ATVs, ropes, and were even able to convince the military to send in rescue helicopters.

When the rescuers first arrived, they split up into groups and each one was tasked with saving a certain group of animals.  Maple and his Vasteras teammates went to the large mammal enclosures, while members of the community handled the reptiles, primates, birds, and other small animals.

"We just wanted to save as many animals as we could.  It sounds like the flood hit the zoo harder than any populated areas, so that's why we came down. Just trying to help out any way that we can." Maple said.

Their rescue efforts were not in vain, either.  At the end of the rescue operation, every single animal was accounted for either by transporting that animal out of their location or by making sure the floodwaters could not invade.  The group stayed on location for 36 hours until the waters finally started to recede and the property cleanup could commence.

"I know that this community would do the same for me if my house was being flooded or on fire or anything like that.  That's what makes this place so great.  We always look out for one another no matter what the circumstances are.  And this was definitely not a one-man operation.  Without the community, it would have been devastating.  I'm just thrilled that it worked out," Maple further elaborated.

As a show of thanks, the Vasteras Zoo is offering free admission to anyone with a Vasteras Iron Eagles ticket stub all season and has partnered with the club for various sponsorships, zoo improvements, and other growth opportunities.

For his part, Maple has dedicated $1 million to help with the zoo cleanup and has vowed to continue his donations throughout his playing career.

DoktorFunk reacted to sadie in First few days in the VHLM
On Thursday July 28th, I joined the league as a free agent in the VHLM. My player, Sadie St-Louis was promptly offered a contract with the San Diego Marlins. She accepted quickly, happy to actually get an offer from a VHLM team. While the team wasn’t necessarily in a good position to succeed, being at that point more than 10 points out of a playoff spot, the rest of the Marlins roster and our GM Jacob were very nice and happy to help with anything I needed. Jacob has been extremely helpful in giving his opinions and advice on what categories to put TPE into and the strengths and weaknesses of putting TPE into certain categories. Sadie joined in the middle of a flurry of signings made by the Marlins, bringing the total player count on the roster up to 13, which now greatly benefits our team during games.

Since signing with them, Sadie has played 7 games with the Marlins. 2 wins in a row happened against Houston and Saskatoon, her first ever wins with the team which have helped keep San Diego in playoff contention. Getting more ice time has helped her production a lot. In these 7 games, she has:

    Goals: 3
    Assists: 6
    Points: 9
    +/-: -1
    Shots: 30
    PIM: 2
    Hits: 14
    Shots Blocked: 5
    Power Play Goals: 1

9 points is above a point per game, which is especially good considering she only had 1 assist across the first three games. Her shooting percentage is at 10%. The category that could be the most improved upon is plus minus- being at a negative is hindering the team’s success. I would say that this has been a good start in the VHLM for her, especially considering that I started out having no idea of how to build a player the right way. But again, I could be very wrong being so new to the sim leagues.

I have high hopes for the rest of her career, starting with a potential push for the playoffs. San Diego currently sits at 9th overall in the 10 team league, and is trailing the Saskatoon Wild by 10 points. However, with only 6 games remaining before the playoffs, they are going to have to have a practically flawless finish to the season if they want in. Saskatoon will also have to essentially go into a free-fall. Houston and Ottawa will need to play extremely well, as they make up 5 of the Wild’s 6 remaining games. After this season concludes, Sadie will sadly be unable to stay for sure with San Diego, and will head to the dispersal draft. Hopefully she is able to head to a team she will enjoy. I plan to earn as much TPE as I have time to earn over the coming weeks, and upgrade my player so that she can be selected higher in the draft. Next season, she should show significant improvement. And one day, she hopes to be drafted into the VHL, the most prestigious of the three leagues, and have a long and successful career.

DoktorFunk reacted to Shindigs in Another look at the top 1st gens of the S85 Draft Class
I kinda of accidentally slipped and fell mid MS at some point earlier this season and put a list of the top current 1st gens of the draft class. But quite a lot has happened since, and quite a lot of it sadly involves people falling off. So that list does need an update.

    1. Jesse Teno - G - @aimkin 206 TPE

Consistent max earner every week, donated. But due to the glut of doubles/triple weeks hasn't actually had time to claim the dono doubles yet. Has already showed interest in league jobs and is just a great person to talk to in DMs. Currently sitting 10th in TPE in the draft class, despite being a relatively late joining player. Easily my pick for the 1st first gen to go off the draft board this off-season in the VHL. The only thing that could get in their way is how relatively few starter positions are available among the teams picking at the top of the draft.

    2. Alfred Champagne - RW - @Anthique 173 TPE

Joined before aimkin, but is lower on TPE. When Anthique is on, he's a max earner. But consistency has been his issue so far. This week, unless he gets some stuff in late, looks like he won't pick up a single TPE. And last week was also lacking compared to what we have seen from him in the past. I'm hoping he gets back into it and shows that he can put up a fight for that 1st spot, by being the best 1st gen option for a team that needs a forward. But the lack of consistency in earning may scare off a lot of GMs.

    3. Reid Johnson - D - @TopTiddee2173 TPE*

At the time of writing he's actually not in 3rd and not on 173 TPE. But he does have a MS that's posted, but not claimed as well as a bday post that will be claimed as soon as that MS is. Which will get him there this week. He's a great LR guy in Vegas with a lot of activity and has shown a lot of willingness to learn and grow as a player. What's held his TPE back slightly was a missed Welfare before he got comfortable enough to start writing MS, as well as some missed trivia questions. But overall, expect him to put in 10-12 capped TPE just about every week, and jump on uncapped opportunities. If you are looking for a 1st gen Dman to build around, he is your player of choice.

    4. Larry Abass Jr - LW/C - @RileyL 163 TPE

Riley's mostly been doing Welfare+, but with the big uncapped opportunities of the last 2 weeks has started making graphics to push into higher TPE a week earnings. Still not quite max earning, but he's been nothing but consistent week in and week out with his earning. Very easy to get a hold of in DMs and willing to jump on uncapped opportunities. In his short time in the league he's been doing very good in Fantazy Zone, picking up solid payouts just about every week. So if the inconsistency, but high ceiling of your Anthique pick is too much to stomach. The amazing consistency of Riley may be what pushes him to the highest ranked 1st gen forward in the draft.

    5. Bill Nye The Puck Stopping Guy - G - @Big Newff 156 TPE

Now this guy usually gets all his TPE tasks in so late in the week that it's already next week in my TZ. So if he does that this week too, he'll shoot right up the list and will be on par with aimkin for consistency (though not quite in earn rate). But since I don't know that at the time of writing this, I'll have to just go off what I know. So if he goes from max earning to missing a week entirely, that is scary. And usually a very, very bad sign of things to come. But if not, I think Big Newff is easily the #2 prospect among 1st gens in this draft. Now this is technically his 3rd player, and both his other players didn't last long enough to even remove his eligibility for 1st gen claims. So that's a bit scary from a GM perspective. But based on my insider sources, that was due to a lack of understanding of how claiming worked here. Coming in as an affiliate member. So with that sorted, maybe the sky isn't even the limit and Bill Nye will take us all the way to space?

Honorable Mentions: in 6th we have @Carpenter74 and in 7th we have @Jay_F both were max earning hard, with Carpenter even donating. Then Carpenter just disappeared off the forums on the 15th. I've seen him post in Mexico's LR since. But no forum access, so I'm not sure what to make of that. He was running away with 1st before that happened. But now it's looking pretty bad. I do hope he comes back though, and keeps up the graphics. For Jay_F I sadly can't really tell you much about the user, other than that he went from max earning in Week ending 17th, to only posting a couple minor tasks in Week ending 24th and then hasn't been on the forums since the 24th. Which looks like a standard case of burnout, but I hope I'm wrong and that he will be back.

If anything it's proof that the VHL needs more members to sustain the VHL vs having more than enough in the VHLE. It's not the E's fault that recruitment has been down. This change only affects a few members each season but gives the VHL GMs more power when we have dry recruitment runs, to be able to fill a roster.

I think this could be a good system for people who are more inclined to to use video or audio editing mediums for their point tasks.  I agree with you that currently it is annoying to have to earn that extra one TPE or do a task that's worth 2 and only have to claim it as 1 because you can't earn over 12
