  1. 1. Today, the Warsaw Predators took home the Continental Cup, making them this season's champions! Do you have an opinion on who you would have preferred between them and Seattle, their opponents? I think it was nice for the Predators to take it this year. Seattle has had there time to shine. 2. We've entered the draft lottery tournament! Do you think it's realistic that we can improve our chances somewhat with a good run here? Absolutely. Gotta stay positive! 3. What are your predictions for this offseason? Do you think we take it slowly and try to continue what's been a gradual but promising development, or do we make some big moves and try to turn the corner into "good team" territory? Good question...I think we should do a bit of both. Get some solid pieces but continue on with some of our developing pieces if that's possible. 4. Anyone who's talked to me any longer than 5 seconds knows that I like to complain about my job. What's your worst work story? Probably working demolition when i was younger. Was promised like 2 Gs for 2 weeks of work (not including weekends). Because it was "under the table" they ended up paying us a lot less with the promise to pay us more if we stayed for the next 2 months. Not to mention it wasn't that safe (missed alot of safety guidelines). Safe to say I stayed only for the 2 weeks and moved on. 5. Do you like your water cold or at room temperature? I personally hate it if it isn't cold, but I know a few people who would disagree... Cold. Definitely refer it cold as it's more refreshing 6. You have until the start of next season to make your player the league's most-recognized name. What do you do to make that happen? Become the top scorer in the league!
  2. 1. This week's big event in Davos land came when we traded defenseman Tyler Walker to Calgary for a good bit of future potential. What are your opinions on the move? Not a bad one. Always good to build on the future. 2. This week is VHLE theme week! If you could make your own league, all in one specific area outside of Europe, where would it be? Canada 3. Is there any way you'd like to see me change as a GM? (Be honest, I'm very hard to offend!) Think you're doing a solid job. Though i don't pay too much attention. 4. What's something harmless that you do way too often? Procrastinate. 5. What was the last book you read, and was it any good? I can't recall the book but it was motivation based on a bunch of different athletes, celebrities & business men/women. Was interesting and would recommend honestly. 6. It is (for most of us) getting quite a bit warmer outside. What's your favorite way to beat the heat in the summer? Cold desserts!
  3. 1. We've had some good sims, some bad sims...well, mostly some bad sims. What's a good way to keep morale up around the clubhouse? Explaining that it’ll be a process and better things will come. Being transparent about your plans is always nice to have and to help build faith 2. You can drop your highest attribute to 40 in exchange for a 200-TPE bonus on your next player. Do you do this? Why or why not? Nope. Mostly cause this will likely be my last player for awhile 3. Who would our team's emergency goalie be? Tyler Walker. He does led the team in shots blocked so he clearly knows how to get in front of a puck 4. What's your favorite NHL player on a team you dislike? Can’t say I watch too much hockey to have a favorite player on a team I don’t like.. 5. What's a place in the world that isn't often thought of as a vacation spot or a touristy area, but that you'd like to see anyway? Morocco 6. What's the worst thing you've ever eaten? Spoiled milk?
  4. 1. We haven't gotten off to the best start--we're last in the European Conference (though not last in the league). Do you think sneaking into the playoffs is realistic, or is it clear that we've got another season to develop? Hard to say. We’ve shown we can at least win some games but I don’t think we’re cut out for the big spotlight just yet. 2. With this week came a big giant announcement--the league is restructuring its development league by adding a new tier of development to combat existing roster space issues. What's your opinion of this? I like it. Makes for more competition and an even playing field. 3. Regardless of where past franchises have been located (the most likely places for E league teams), where in Europe would you put a team? Spain maybe? Or Greece? 4. Who's your favorite current NHL player? Can’t say I have a favorite. McDavid I suppose 5. If you follow the NHL, who would you like to see win the cup? If you're not, look up the teams left in the playoffs and say which one has the best logo. Team I was rooting for is already out so I guess Toronto. 6. What's your idea for a stupid product? It can be anything, as long as it's stupid. Hmmmm...I guess self-heating pizza boxes? Always get your pizza served nice and hot on deliver
  5. D - Spencer Elsby @bigAL
  6. F - Thomas Landry II @Domg5
  7. 1. Tax day has come and gone in the US! Hypothetically, if part of your taxes went to the VHL, what would you like to see the league spend its new real-life money on? Well this is a tough one. Not entirely sure tbh. 2. Time for the usual beginning-of-the-season question: predict your stat line! First season so i'd say: 10 G, 7 A, 17 P 3. Which team would you like to see us beat the most this season? Warsaw Predators 4. You get a personal assistant for a day. What do you have them do? All my chorus and errands of course. 5. What's something a new league member can do to make a positive first impression? Being active i suppose 6. If you've played hockey, what's a piece of advice you have for a first-time player? If you haven't, what position do you think you'd play? I don't play in real life but if I had I'd say a defenseman
  8. F - Dakota Lamb @fyrefly
  9. 1. What is your players nickname when on the ice? JJ usually. Otherwise I'm usually called by my last name. 2. If your player wasn't playing ice hockey what sport would they be playing? Basketball or soccer 3. Did your player have a back up career if the VHL didn't work out? He did actually having finished with an accountant degree 4. If the VHL brought in injuries as a possibility what do you think is the longest someone should be able to be injured for? I think 1 to 2 games max any longer would be harsh 5. Who do you think should captain the squad this season? Taro Tsujimoto 6. We had two newbies come up to the big leagues what is the Davos hazing ritual? I don't know and i'm scared to find out.
  10. 1) We've clinched 1st overall in the VHLM ... how's it feel to officially be a 1st place team? Feels great but the job isn’t done just yet! 2) Which of your teammates would you say has improved the most over the course of the season? Honestly I don’t really have a sole favorite..
  11. 1) Kirby Pandora has been added to the lineup to solidify our blueline. What do you think of the pickup? I think Kirby Pandora was a great pick up. 2) We've slid a bit over the last few games. Have you noticed anything different with the team that led to this stretch? Can't say I have noticed any major changes. We're bound to lose some on the way to glory so it is what it is. 3) Do you think we need to make any more moves to re-assert ourselves as the VHLM's top team, or just ride out the cold streak? Ride it out. We got this still. 4) What do you do to stay mentally focused every shift? Taking every opportunity I have and making the best of it. 5) We've got a few games left against Saskatoon, the second best VHLM team so far this season and top team in the other conference. How important is it to rebound and put up some wins against them? Super important. Especially if we want to remain on top. 6) Tell us about the best locker room prank that you've seen pulled in your hockey career. Jersey swaps. Definitely leaves some confusion on the ice and for the players.
  12. 1) We're 32-3, 10 points up on the rest of the VHLM. Are we going to hold onto that and remain the #1 seed? Absolutely we are 2) What do we need to do as a team to hoist the Founders Cup at season's end? Honestly just keep doing what we’re doing. Went from a big time scorer to like nothing? 3) Who do you think has been the MVP of the team so far this season? Guy Lambert as of right now 4) What do you think of the addition of Gaspar Zakrevsky to an already deep lineup, what will he bring to the squad? Chillin with the homies for the most part. 6) What's your favourite thing to order when the team goes out to eat? Medium rare steak, sautéed mushrooms and a nice helping of mash potatoes with gravy.

Definitely feeling good about this season. 2) Were there any other VHLM teams out there that would have interested you? All of them. Doesn’t look like it though. 2) What do we need to do better to get out of this cold streak? Just an overall improvement. Better offense to have no more shut out games and better defense so we’re not losing so badly. 3) What's one thing that you feel we have been doing well, even despite the recently struggles? Despite me harping on our defense earlier, it was the better of the two this season. 4) What do you do as a player to stay positive in situations like these and continue to bring your best effort every night? Just keep working. As we all improve the team is bound to get better. 5) Anyone know what their plans for S77 are? So I can imagine I’ll start getting some interviews next season. 6) Do you follow the NHL? Who's your team? Loyal to the Oil.
  20. We’re 57 games in and Miles Johnson has managed to carve out a decent role for himself playing for the Mississauga Hounds. Within those games he has managed to put up a total of 51 points with 26 goals and 25 assists. Most shocking about this is Johnson’s assist numbers with the highly scouted freshman primarily being a go-to scorer and has now come close to equaling his goal numbers with assists. He’s rarely worked on his playmaking but has managed to keep up with plenty others around the league. “I’ve always set out to score each and every game. After all it’s what I train towards every day. Setting up my teammates just seems to be second nature for me and you can see it in my game. Don’t be fooled. I’m going out there to score. If my teammates can put one into the back of the net off of a play I’ve made then so be it..” - Miles Johnson Though the unexpected boost in passing has provided the team some more potential to add in the W column, the Hounds are still struggling with a 23-30-4 record. Hopefully in due time this will change as Miles Johnson continues to improve.
  21. 1) What's your experience with the Hounds been like so far? It’s been good. Players and coaching staff are great. Team isn’t doing too bad either. 2) How has your player developed over the course of the season? Is there something you've been focusing on? Is it showing up on the ice? Development has been rocky. Working on boosting my defense just a bit before re-focusing on scoring. 3) How do you deal with high pressure situations on the ice? Look for the best shot and try to ignore the score board. 4) Who do you think is the best team in the VHLM this season? Houston Bulls 5) Who do you consider our biggest rival in the VHLM? Do you have any personal rivalries in the league? I would probably say the Miami Marauders. Went up against them quite a few times now in a lot of close matchups. Can’t say I have a personal rival though. 6) Did you watch the Super Bowl? Any thoughts on the game? Didn’t watch but we all know Brady is the
