  1. season 90 is not very far away and all of the watchmen of bratislava are excited for what should be a solid season. general manager rory had a great draft, taking a team with only one defencemen and five forwards, into a solid roster consisting of eight forwards and five defencemen. among those are the dynamic duo spanish moon moth and sunset moth, two players that may struggle to begin with, but project to be great contributors as the season progresses. focusing on defensive depth first, rory went ahead and picked walter fitzroy jr with the first selection of the draft. shortly after that pick they traded for the 6th pick in the draft and selected jebediah big ol doinks in amish. both of these players will be key to any success that bratislava may enjoy. the last pick that ended up being a roster player for them was made in the 4th round at 23. the watchmen selected goaltender WWWWWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWWWWW who may look to finally get some in game experience following a season which was spent on the bench observing the game. with the great additions in the draft, along with graduating and returning players like harry callahan and otis boudreaux jr, the watchmen look to make a solid run for the playoffs.

  5. NAME: Jebediah Big Ol Doinks in Amish POSITION: Defence BIRTHPLACE: Saint Lucia AGE: 27 HEIGHT: 69" Hailing from the island nation of Saint Lucia, Jebediah Big Ol Doinks in Amish projects to be an offensive defenceman that will light up the league. Standing at a staggering 69 inches tall (nice), what Jebediah lacks in height he makes up for in natural skating ability and agility. After one season here are some of Jebediah Big Ol Doinks in Amish's strength and weaknesses on the ice. STRENGTHS OFFENSIVE UPSIDE: There is no denying that this guy is mainly looking to contribute on the scoresheet. Whether it's 5 on 5 or on the power play, Jebediah will be a main factor for your team's scoring. Not only is his vision great for quarter backing the power play, he can quite easily find a hole to get that puck on net. POSITIONING: You can count on Jebediah to be in the right spot in almost every possible situation. Whether it's choosing to pinch on the blueline, or covering his assignment in the defensive zone, you can rely on Jeb. You can almost see the way that he reads the play and places himself in the perfect spot before it's happening. Good luck trying to stick handle past Jeb. LEADERSHIP: It's hard to quantify leadership. You can take all the courses and know the theory, but some people are just born to be leaders and some are not. Jeb is a clear leader. Both on and off the ice he is a vocal part of any team. Not only does he lead by example, but he aims to infect the entire roster with his easy going island vibes. WEAKNESSES SKATING: It's clear to see that Jebediah is still a work in progress. He may have started with a disadvantage compared to some others in the class, but the amount of work being done in practice on just the fundamentals is great to see. Expect to see Jeb continuing that same dedication as his career furthers. Being a smaller defenceman, his lack of speed and critical skating ability makes him a bit of a pushover in that sense. PHYSICALITY: Jebediah is almost non-existent on the physical side of the game. If the situation absolutely calls for it he will throw a hit, but he tries to do the bulk of his work with excellent positioning rather than brute force. This could become a problem for Jeb as he climbs the ladder of the league. We expect that at some point, he will be forced to toughen up in order to stay competitive.
  6. Bratislava Watchmen Press Conference Week Ending 8/20 VHLE Draft edition! 1. We added two great defencemen to the team in the draft, filling a big hole in the roster. Do you think we look like one of the best teams in the league now? 2. Vasteras had 10 picks in a row this draft! Who do you think was their best pick? 3. We also managed to pick up rory's player WWWWWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Are you glad to have the GMs own player on the team? 4. If you had to play for any other VHLE team which would it be and why? 5. If you're planning a getaway where is your ideal spot? 6. Are you prepared for the eventual heat death of the universe?
  7. the big draft day finally arrived and jebediah big ol doinks in amish awaited with excitement to hear his name called. early projections from various outlets had big ol doinks being taken around pick 15. so when the malmo nighthawks selected him at 9th overall after trading down a few times, he was overjoyed. jebediah has previous connections with malmo, with his agency having produced a hall of fame player in chris hylands, along with a general manager in christopher james. the nighthawks have chosen to go to the well one more time and try their luck with the newest talent in jebediah big ol doinks in amish. it was a warm welcome for the newest draftee in malmo, with quite a few familiar faces showing up to welcome him in the locker room. it will be at least a full season until jebediah can join up with his newest teammates, but he is excited to get started on working his way there as soon as possible. soon jebediah will find out which team he will play for in the vhle, where he will aim to hone his talents even further.

  10. wow im back already! Bratislava Watchmen Press Conference Week Ending 8/13 New AGM takeover edition! 1. Off-season tends to be a slow time around sim leagues. What do you do to keep yourself engaged and excited for the upcoming season? 2. The draft is coming up soon and we have a chance of getting some really good players. Do you think we will be in a good spot for a strong season afterwards? 3. How do you think the contraction from eight teams to six will affect the VHLE going forward? Is it good or bad overall for the league? 4. What is your favourite two team combination for Puckdoku and why? 5. Does an active locker room factor into your overall enjoyment of sim leagues? Why or why not? 6. What do you think makes rory such a great GM?
  11. the off-season can be a bit of a drag for players that don't make playoffs or find themselves making an early exit. jebediah big ol doinks in amish found himself on the outside looking in after a surprise exit from the playoffs for the houston bulls. after being released from the roster and earning promotion to the european league, jebediah had nowhere to go to pass his time. fortunately for jeb, this off-season also means it's draft time. he will soon find out which vhl team he will call his home once he reaches the skill level necessary to play in the league. he will spend the majority of his time in between seasons honing his skills and making sure he can pop up on as many team's radar's as possible. jebediah big ol doinks is also looking forward to experiencing a new league over in europe. although he won't be spending a long time there, he aims to make as big of an impact as he possibly can. his goal is to keep working on his offensive side of the game while picking up whatever he can from the longer tenured defencemen of the league.
  12. 1. sadly my player is retiring, so he will be sent to the shadow realm. hopefully my new player gets to play for bratislava. 2. mexico city kings! i love mexico city it is the best team in the entire league. 3. i will think about it for a very long time in order to get the best gift possible for rory! 4. i wanted my name to be as long as possible and i thought it was funny. 5. i would probably get rid of american football. i dont know what it is about it but i just cannot enjoy that sport at all. 6. i would bring a cute little otter with me because otters are the best and definitely amazing at hockey.
  13. a sad update for everybody in the vhl, the houston bulls were eliminated from playoff contention in only the first round. universally loved and fan favourite houston did not live up to expectations and fell to an embarrassing defeat at the hands of ottawa who seemed to have had their number all season long. following the early exit, general manager aj subsequently announced his retirement, along with assistant general manager triller following him out the door. bulls fans far and wide were beside themselves after hearing the news, with reports that a small dedicated group of fans are trying to locate aj to bring the beloved former general manager back to where he belongs. as for jebediah big ol doinks in amish, it looks like he is headed to europe. exciting times are ahead as he continues to develop into a competent defenceman. having outgrown the fellow competitors in the vhlm, jebediah aims to take the next step and keep working towards the ultimate goal of playing in the vhl. with the draft coming up soon, he is looking forward to the next chapter of his career.
  14. 1. there’s not much to be upset about except for the playoff performance. it’s not at all what we wanted but looking back overall the season was great. 2. i’ll stick around in the locker room and say hello. other than that a reunion with anybody on the team would be more than welcome. 3. just bad luck really. lots of one goal games that could have gone either way. 4. i don’t think a cup is 100% necessary for a hall of fame candidate. only one team a season can win it and sometimes the stars don’t align even for the best players. 5. super excited to play with WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW because the bench warming is immaculate and the butt taps are second to none. 6. all good things must come to an end, and this was a great thing. both of you should be proud of what we had this season even if the result wasn’t ultimately what we wanted. good luck in the future!

  16. you’re really just gonna call me out like that?!
  17. the end of the regular season is here, and that means it's time for a quick recap. the houston bulls finish the season with 106 points, locking up 1st in the west and looking great heading into playoffs. jebediah big ol doinks in amish ends up scoring a respectable 56 points, with 17 of those being goals! on a stacked roster with ample scoring ability i am very happy with that level of production. the bulls roster is taking advantage of the recent vhl birthday tpe and head into the playoffs with nearly a full roster of capped players. as long as jebediah can do his job defensively and contribute up front wherever he can, i will consider that a huge success. my previous player harkat mulds also played his last game ever. he had a decent season, scoring 63 points on a bratislava team that somewhat exceeded expectations. turns out leaving suddenly and having him die a slow death was not ideal for his career path. this time around i'm not going to speedrun burnout and i'll just enjoy jebediah as much as possible. the main goal of this player is to make as many friends as i can along the way.
  18. 1. im a bit late to this one, but i would've said 12-0 either way! we slowed down a bit towards the end but held on to top spot. 2. i would say 250 but that seems hopeful. we ended up at 238 so a few more games and we for sure would have made it. 3. i haven't put too much thought into where i want to be drafted. as long as i go somewhere that actually scouts me i'm fine. 4. it's gonna be tough to do that, i think he gets close but not quite unfortunately. 5. no playoff rituals here. it's business as usual as far as jebediah is concerned. 6. there are so many options, how do i choose? i'd probably go with something up tempo with a solid beat to get the crowd pumped.
  19. it has been an absolutely incredible week for the houston bulls. after making a deadline day trade and some waiver acquisitions, the long term plans the bulls had are finally coming to fruition. the middle of the season was met with some hardships, even at one point falling a few points behind san diego for the top spot. but looking at the standings now, the bulls have built a respectable gap between them and the marlins, while also making up a lot of ground on the juggernaut team of the east, the philadelphia reapers. the team is as motivated as ever and they are pushing for the strongest finish possible. over the last 16 games, houston have dropped only a single point and are by far the hottest team right now. jebediah big ol doinks in amish manages to produce at a decent rate, exceeding most expectations he had heading into the season. not quite putting up point per game pace, he sits at 51 points in 63 games played. he will continue to work on contributing as much as he can offensively while remaining as reliable as possible in the defensive zone.
  20. 1. we made a great move, moon is awesome! our defence is looking incredible and that is a solid foundation to build upon. 2. i think things are looking amazing. we have depth, we have talent, and we have doinks. what more could you want? 3. i liked it a lot! the community came up with some good, and some not so good ideas. 4. nothing major. the locker room is pretty chill on account of the massive amount of doinks going around. 5. i would say definitely a more relaxed coach. the motivation to perform and play is not achieved by being a dick to me. 6. probably being indecisive? i can be pretty wishy washy when it comes to that.
