  2. Hey all, I'm actually going to pension+ max earn this week, so that's cool. It's been a while, and I finally feel like I'm back and not daunted by earning and visiting the website like I was for the last little bit. Unfortunately burnt out at the tail of Vasile's career, but it happens. Nonetheless; Not to make this about recruitment, but wow is there a lack of first-generation players posting point tasks! I wanted to use this article, which may be a recurring series, to shoutout a first-gen who is doing some good work and should be given their props. Definitely been done before, but now it's my turn! Today we have @dstevensonjr, also known as their player Harry Callahan, RW of the Toronto Legion, who has been pumping out media spots for the last little while, including one about the S91 Toronto Legion, which you can check out here! The 17th Overall pick in the S89 Entry Draft has quickly climbed the draft rankings, currently sitting 2nd overall by TPE behind only 1st Overall pick Viktor Jensen. Always impressive to see a 1st generation player near the top of any draft class, and here is no exception. You can find another one of their media spots on recruitment here as well, from the perspective of a newer member. On the ice, Callahan had a very respectable rookie season, finishing with 24 goals and 31 assists for a total of 55 points, good for 5th overall in rookie scoring. In the post season, Callahan has just 2 points, but has without a doubt contributed positively to the Toronto Legion's current playoff run, where they await either D.C. or L.A. in the NA Conference Final. We wish Toronto and Harry Callahan the best in these playoffs and beyond, as he has a positive career ahead of him, both on and off the ice.
  3. Happy Holidays! Transaction ID: 6345436094327941L
  4. 1. Alexandros and Leo Neelson are currently tied for our lead in points! Who do you think will be the solo leader by the end of the week? Well, I'm a little late on this one, so I'll make a prediction for Round 2 of the playoffs - Adi Dassler will pick up the pace and dominate either Mississauga or Houston, whoever we face. 2. Who do you think our MVP has been so far? Jacob Smith Jr. was definitely our MVP this past season. 2nd in goals, 1st in points, meanwhile playing a strong 200-foot game. Honourable mentioned to our keep Bobbly, what a season they had. 3. Toddly is up there for almost all the goalie stats, How big has he been to the Wild so far this season? Yeah, as I just said, he's been incredible for us. Some games, when the team hasn't been going, he's been there at the back keeping us in games and letting the skaters settle in. One of the most solid netminders I've personally played with ever. 4. What team do you think gives us the most challenge? Obviously, it's between the two teams that challenged us most for the league title, Ottawa and Houston. I think I'd pick the less popular choice in Ottawa, personally. 5. Why? They are a great organization, and have always been coached well. They have some guys on that team that I grew up playing with and against, and I know what they're capable of. I wouldn't be surprised to see them make the finals from the east. 6. What is one super underrated food in your opinion? I think alot of people that aren't from my part of the world don't appreciate some good homemade perogies enough, especially my own family recipe.
  5. can we have favourite VHL, VHLE, and VHLM team tags as well?
  6. It's the perfect time to recreate. Recruitment, do your thing! :trump-smiling:

  7. Awesome article, definitely love this stuff. Except Lamb > Su. (It's closer than you think )
  8. I had definitely seen the subreddit ads (on r/BostonBruins I think?) long before I decided to actually join, maybe even years before. I got recruited kinda by @Enorama and kinda by @flatl99 talking about it in our EHM League, and even at first I was skeptical of adding unneeded "homework" to my routine. But as Eno explained to me that it could basically be summed down to 20 mins or so per week, I decided to create. I do agree that there's something about a personal connection while being recruited and having someone to always bounce questions or ideas off of or at least guide you through your first few days/weeks here. 9. when do I meet the like minded friends?
  10. Somewhere in the HF Boards Fantasy Hockey Talk section, not sure where or what the rules are on advertising, but that's above my pay grade. EHM The Blue Line forums in this section, the level of nerd overlap is fairly large proven by the amount of EHMers already here. A new(er) advertisement on the STHS Forums in the league advertisement section would be good as well. This site is pretty good as well, not sure if we've tried that recently. Give me evidence of moderators shutting us down or I'll keep saying it. I think people just need more ways to find the site to begin with, passive links in forums like these are free, easy, and even if they don't serve as a recruitment drive, will bring people to the site over time.
  11. For real though, we could definitely use a script or video that we could just plaster everywhere. Even different Youtuber ad reads from what I remember are wildly different in how they explain what the VHL is.
