Just claim it as other. You can either leave a comment in your PT thread for the extra claim or just don’t leave a link (fine with other) and out the comment as theme week. Either way the updaters will check that you did what was needed anyway.

Which seems a fair way to look at it. Especially if you consider, as he said in the podcast, that coming back from a ban but being told “we’re watching you” (more or less) ends up feeling like there’s a gun in your back so automatically your guard is more up and you’re more likely to react to any kind of provocation. Like I said, I want to talk to him first before deciding anything. Mostly just to clear the air on a few things so that there is no potential misconceptions moving forward.

Anything that could happen is still a big if at best right now, we aren't necessarily doing anything. I'd also want to talk to him personally first because I do think he was genuine here but you are right, it's very easy to have a conversation where you know how things are going to go and have it come off sounding good. I trust what I heard but I'm not jumping straight to unbanning him or anything, I want to discuss stuff first.

I pretty much just mean him mentioning that I wanted to make sure he was gone no matter what and was against him no matter what. It was in passing, might have been more of a joke than anything else. I do agree with those in here saying that this is more telling than any argument @Higgins or @gorlab could make. This sounds more like the Boubabi I knew and liked 5 years ago than it does the man I fought against so much a year and a half ago.

I can admit that it’s good to hear what he had to say. Obviously he has come to terms with the fact that what he was saying wasn’t the issue, how he was saying it was our main problem. I always understood where he was coming from, he was trying to help the league but it’s not helpful to be talking to anyone the way he was. I would be lying if some of what he said didn’t come off a bit as a conspiracy theory against the blue team but that’s fine, I wasn’t expecting anything else. I do understand how things could have come off though because he does make a valid point that removing him while angry obviously wasn’t going to calm him down when everyone else was going to continue talking shit. Anyway, I’m not going to get into things too much. He took some shots at me and that’s fine; I’d like to think that over the past 16 months I’ve grown into a better commish than I was at the time. I do find it interesting how much we both started doing graphic work for sim leagues and now both work in film. It was an interesting listen no matter what. If you ever need a guest I’d be interested in being on.

I mean kinda but as we’ve discussed before I sim from work on my lunch break so live simming isn’t really something I can do. It’s possible I could just do the playoffs from home but it is an annoyance.

So all this discussion of “GM’s shouldn’t sim” is discounting that I’m not a GM... if you guys really care that much we could just make Devise full time VHLM and I’ll do VHL, I have no intention of ever GMing. However I’d say it’s woefully unnecessary. The last finals Devise Simmed were all done live so he couldn’t have cheated if he had wanted to and quite frankly it’s never really been worth the league’s health for either of us to attempt cheating despite what I’ll admit it looks like. Simmer “rigging” has been brought up since S1 but we’ve never remotely had proof. As for @Elmebeck‘s logic of automation; I’d love to be proven wrong but so far as I’m aware there is no way to automate our sim engine. Maybe I’m wrong there, I just don’t think it’s possible.

Perhaps but he never got nearly as far down the road. He got to the point where there were official warnings and was on the path to suspensions but never got there.

Kendrick was never banned, he left on his own. It’s not the same situation and you know it.

Holik finished at 1000, most averaged around 800. TPE levels in general are higher than average now though.

How dare I have 1 good player out of every 5-10.

Yeah, I’m not sure what it’s based on really. Was going to say alphabetical but I think our little special character makes them all go to the end so who knows. I more so meant terrible by my usual standards. Scoring across the board is down by a bit for sure but the amount of games I’ve had where I don’t score at all, often without even a point, is much lower than usual. I’m on pace for 39 goals this season when I’ve had over 50 the last 5. Same with being on pace for 83 points despite having over 100 the last 5 seasons. I wouldn’t say I’ve been dominant those seasons, there’s always been some competition for me, but 18 goals and 30 points lower than a 5 season average isn’t good.

I’m gonna go on the record and say we’re gonna need to change this name. Otherwise every portal field that gets created is going to be stretched to all hell. good to note that we should also add a character limit to the creation... @Will
