The more I look at it, the more I'm convinced that Papa Emeritus isn't a Hall of Fame player and had there been a skater equivalent of Emeritus's career, they wouldn't even have made the HOF ballot. They only had one season when they were on the Shaw ballot (lower than every other HOFer goalie where this is trackable), and this is where Emeritus finished every season in save percentage (in case of tie I went to fourth decimal place):

S81	9th
S82	13th
S83	9th
S84	1st
S85	6th
S86	5th

 

Combined with a six seasons as a starter, to me that is Hall of Very Good, not Hall of Fame. 

Out of morbid curiosity you wanna look at the same thing for playoffs? Like if Papa’s not a HoFer then whatever, I don’t really expect much from my goalies, but Papa was always kinda the reverse of Holik: average in the regular season and strong in the playoffs to the point of having no the 4th most olayoff wins (at least in portal records which includes a lot of the older players as well) and top 10 playoff S% among goalies that had an actual decent amount of playoff games.

I’m not gonna sit here and just make a case for myself because I always feel like that’s just an unfair advantage of being part of the vote, but it would be interesting to see the other side of this coin.

So I hate to do this so last minute but due to a number of unforeseen circumstances (worked later, high winds and thunderstorms freaking Luna out, etc) I’m gonna have to postpone Zoo Tycoon night until tomorrow when things should hopefully have calmed down enough that it’s less likely my power goes out or my dog loses her mind the entire time. Start time should still be the same if everything goes to plan, just one day pushed.

@Tetricide can’t be bothered to google “Halifax” and “21” confirmed. The name continues to be divisive purely because people don’t want to understand how perfect it is for the VHLM.

FWIW as well there was a period where it was the basic thought that VHLM cities should be the smaller cities and save the larger ones like Montreal for the VHL. We kinda got away from that mentality when we moved all the M teams to NA but we were also rapidly expanding at the time so figured “eh, we’ll get some teams in the big cities later” and then kinda just didn’t. It’s also why Boston and Detroit have long been ignored. It wasn’t really intentional, it just kinda happened.

I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen a wild fox in NS but I can confirm that they definitely are here, you can hear the little buggers all the time.

Man the two months between these seem to fly by every time don’t they? Or is that just for the blues since we have to come up with ideas. It is, however, that time of the season again, theme week! Everyone’s favourite week (aside from the blues) since you all get that sweet extra TPE.
 
Of course, that also means that the Trade Deadline is Monday, April 15th at 3pm EDT. This also means that anyone wishing to re-create for the S95 draft can do so starting at midnight that same day.

Trade deadlines are boring though, you wanna know about theme week don’t you? The theme for S93 is:

It’s your lucky day @Frank! Have a team whose location is bugging you? Or maybe you just really hate the team name or logo? If everything bent to your whim what would you do with the branding of a team, or hell multiple teams, whatever you’d like? What would the league look like?

To earn your Theme Week TPE, write an article, create a graphic, or record a podcast with some connection to “Rebrand”.

In order to claim the theme week bonus of 6 Uncapped TPE, simply submit your Themed PT (Graphic, Media Spot, or 6-TPE Podcast), and claim it as normal. After claiming the PT portion, you can use the same link, and claim the uncapped portion as follows: Claim Uncapped > Other > Doubles Week. (Note: you do not need to post your link in this thread to claim either portion of TPE). 
 
If you have already submitted a Point Task for this week, or are in the midst of claiming a multi-week Media Spot/Podcast, you may still submit a Theme Week PT this week, and claim the capped portion on the next available week, following your multi-week claim.
 
Also, if you have a single job that pays 6+, you may claim the theme week bonus as long as you complete your duties for the week. If you are in the SBA and have completed their most recent Media Week, you may use that to claim the Uncapped theme week bonus, but a PT must be completed this week in order to claim the Capped portion, whether that is completed here or through Affiliate Welfare.
 
Note: Only players who are S94 or older may claim the theme week bonus.

As I work in film this has been a hot topic for the last couple of years with opinions ranging from “we’re all fucked, it’s gonna replace us all” to “it’s fucking dumb and doesn’t stand a chance in creative fields.” On the whole I fall in the middle, I think it’s a useful tool in some circumstances but people need to not trust it too much. Ultimately it is easily mistaken and fooled because it’s pulling from incomplete information. As for specifics, I think stuff like coding can benefit from it greatly because it’s the kind of thing it understands well and you can save hours of debugging. As for what it should stay out of: almost anything creative. It’s a machine, it lacks creativity. All it can do is effectively copy and steal from others and badly mimic it. Useful as a planning tool for something maybe but not as an end product.

Well I first started in S1 when no one knew anything about any of the teams and also, I’ll be honest, most of the logos were fucking terrible ripoffs. With that said Amstel had the first pick so I was quite pleased to be taken with it haha.

Another week without simming (well aside from that one day and I'm not gonna claim for that) means another week of needing to earn how the peasants regular members earn so time to spit out a bunch of random words and hope they make a coherent sentence: Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak! Thank you! Like the post if you got that reference 

ANYWAY if you haven't seen I have finally set a date for the zoo tycoon 2 stream. I've been avoiding doing it while the kids are around because their rooms are right above where my computer is now and they'd be in bed so I don't want to wake them up. Just so happens that I've been mostly the one travelling lately, not my wife and kids, so that timing hasn't come up. The wife is taking the kids up the Ottawa next week though so time for VHL members to become zoo animals again! Hopefully I can remember how to play again haha.

Kinda a rough week for Calaway and the Dragons. We have fallen out of first place in the league and I've dropped out of first in the assist and D scoring. We had to get our backup games in and oddly decided to do them when we had a lot of tough games so we'll see how it goes, hopefully things turn around. Still a great season all around, just a bit more of a dip than I would like.

Trivia was a bit trickier this week but I still got both answers right so clearly people continue to just complain for no reason: I continue to prove this as fact.
