  1. Victor Grachev. Warsaw Predators core defensemen for his entire career. A consistent player across each season, he has herald the assistant captain letter on his jersey for nearly his entire career on the team. But as time moves on, retirement looms on the horizon. So what's next for Victor Grachev? Well, a number of things. There exists the rumors of a possible trade elsewhere to look for one more cup. Warsaw loyal fans might see this as a betrayal to the team, but most understand the level of dedication Grachev has given to the team. Never complaining about ice time, always a good spirit in the locker room, and playing his best whenever it mattered, Victor solidified himself as a Predator to be remembered for a long time. But a trade would give him one more run at the cup, potentially. "Management has to make a call that's best for the team," Grachev said recently. "And although Warsaw has been my home for a long time, I want that decision - if it comes - to be for the betterment of the Warsaw organization. If I stay, then I stay. If they need to send me elsewhere, then I leave on excellent terms." But what Victor is sure of is his off-ice achievements, especially in the Warsaw community. He recently took on a part time position in a local youth hockey league that might transition to full time when he retires. "I love helping kids learn the game I play," Victor stated. "And seeing their joy whenever I interact with them gives me the greatest feeling of accomplishment." The Warsaw community has been especially welcoming to the defenseman's contributions, exemplifying him with the renaming of the local rink. Grachev recently contributed $1 million dollars in a donation to boost the local youth hockey league. As of November 1st, 2021, the Riverfront Ice House will transition to the Victor Grachev Ice Arena. Not only has Victor began working with youth hockey, he recently began to mentor a few junior players playing in the area. Although they have transitioned out as seasons came and went, there was one player that Victor struck up a bond with. "When he first arrived, it was like meeting a younger version of me," Grachev said. "He showed great skills on the ice and was an amazing player. I've worked with him on the ice early in the mornings a few times, I think he has what it takes. I know I've mentioned to him the prospect of heading to the VHLM, but he is actively still playing in his current junior league." That player? Perry Laperrière, the French centerman from Lyon. "Perry has become a tremendous friend and player," Victor continued. "I'm excited to follow his career with earnest!" While Grachev has been steadily preparing for his retirement, he continues to play well for the Predators as they continue their battle throughout this season. Will he finish the season in Warsaw? Possibly, but if there's one note of certainty, it's that Victor Grachev is extremely thankful for his time with Warsaw. "I wouldn't have had it any other way. I have been treated exceptionally well and have enjoyed my career completely." Time will tell how Grachev's season ends, but his career has been tremendous, even though he lacks in individual awards. Grachev doesn't seem to think about that at all, but rather the time spent with his team, the friends he made along the way, and the championship won in S78.
  2. 1). I think we did well with the picks we had! 2). S80 will be a bit harder for Warsaw, but I think if everyone keeps updating and putting in the effort we could surprise people this season. 3). No surprises, I thought everyone who deserved an award got one! 4). I mean...Istanbul for sure (but that didn't happen lol) 5). Dear is a star in the league, and although they have left I'm happy they went to a quality organization that looks ready to compete! 6). I bought a new bed mattress with my wife and watched football, so yeah fun times.
  3. It’s been a long week or so, and I appreciate the patience given while I was with my family regarding what I posted about earlier. Without further ado, the AGM for the Istanbul Red Wolves! First of all, thank you to all who applied. There were a lot of qualified applicants (some even hired by other teams ). My choice comes from someone I’ve struck up a connection with and who stepped up in the Red Wolves LR while I was away at the funeral. He went above and beyond while I was away, and it showed his determination to take the reins of the AGM position. So with a big congratulations, I’m excited to announce that the new hire for the AGM of the Istanbul Red Wolves is: @Spaz! (You are all lucky spoilers for whatever reason aren’t working on my phone right now) Welcome to the team, thank you again, and let’s get ready to make our mark in the VHLE!!
  4. Spending some time with family this week, lost a close family member. Thank you all.

  5. It’s an exciting time for the VHL! There are so many job opportunities to be had across the VHLM with a few more possibly in the VHLE. I’d like to open up another one with this thread for the Istanbul Red Wolves AGM! What I’m looking for is an AGM who acts as a locker room presence for the team, someone who’s especially engaging. Additionally, you’re my idea guy; I’ll be pinging you with ideas on lines, new locker room things, and anything else pertaining to the team. You’ll have a pretty active say in how things are run, because I love my AGMs . Finally, you’ll be writing press conferences and helping me with lines in the off chance I’m busy with work or other things and can’t get them in. If you feel like you would be a good fit for the job, apply below! I’ll be looking forward to talking to you all who apply, and can’t wait to add another important addition to the history of the Istanbul Red Wolves! (also you would be the first AGM in Istanbul history, so that’s pretty neat )
  6. PRESS CONFERENCE - Week of September 5th, 2021 (Just answer at least 6 of the questions for 2 TPE) 1). The VHLE is slowly taking shape! How excited are you for the initial tournament? 2). Getting to be a part of the inaugural season is pretty exciting. What do you hope to see implemented into the VHLE? 3). Hopefully Covid clears up eventually, but if there were no risks with traveling, where would you want to go right now? 4). What is your favorite fruit? 5). Which team - based on the rosters released - do you think will win the tournament? 6). If, perhaps, your GM happened to make you a sig, which player would you want to use for it? 7). With this being the first season of the Istanbul Red Wolves, what are some things you would like me to bring into the locker room? 8). What is you pregame ritual? Do you have any superstitions? 9). Which player on our team will be our MVP throughout the tournament?
  7. Super excited!!! Glad to share this position with an incredible roster of GMs!
  8. 1). I feel like we did ok, but we certainly could be doing better. 2). Along the lines he has been playing for the past few seasons, I’m surprised at the consistency. 3). Nope, we’ve got a ton of fuel to burn and it’s going to start showing later in the season 4). It’s an interesting take given the players available, but it’s not entirely stupid. They are just building the roster up with a solid background of decent players and will probably look to sign or trade for better players. 5). Not really this year, I travel quite a bit for work and raising my son takes up a lot of my time. 6). Really great! Family is doing well, job is fantastic, and we are working towards welcoming a baby girl in December so it’s all very exciting right now for my family!
