  1. It is now past midway through S93 in the VHLe. We caught up with VHL Calgary Wranglers' prospect Miner vHLer @Rhynex Entertainment. Miner vHLer has been playing for the Oslo Storm in the VHLe and has been having a rough season thus far. Reporter: Hello Miner! Nice to see you again! It looks like you've been having a tough time out there! Mv: Hello. It has been a rough lately. Things are just not going my way right now. Reporter: What do you think is the problem? How do you plan to adjust moving forward? Mv: I can't really say. There's been a lot of noise outside, just got to filter the noise and raise my game to another level. Reporter: What are your plans for the second halve of the season? How will you change things to adapt moving forward? Mv: I just got to play my game. There's a lot of hockey left in the season and a lot of learning experience as well. Just got to put on my skates each day and play and have fun. Things have been rough but just got to do the little things and play my game and things will sooner or later get back on track to what my game should be like. Reporter: Thank you! Best of luck for the rest of the season. [Word count 226]
  2. 1. charades, a lot of chemistry building could be formed from a simple game of charades 2. food bank drive and soup kitchen, we all could use a good free food day 3. AGM Daniel Janser, beautiful singer 4. Sending post cards of Osler to Calgary 5. maybe electric eel, deadly and static 6. sunshine, get in car, rain, drive, reach destination, sunshine
  3. 1. Finally getting used to the timezone and the city 2. No, just living in the dorm room above the stadium 3. Probably me, just a minor character after all 4. I will continue if I don't reach 400 TPA by end of season 5. Not sure, we're having a good time despite not having a good season thus far 6. If there's an endless supply and continuous drain of the tap, I'd say it'll go on forever
  4. Great, good luck folks! @leandrofg we are done, not sure if the other tag worked.

  6. Prospect Scouting Report - Miner vHLer Player name: Miner vHLer Position: LW primary / RW secondary (currently playing RW with Oslo Storm VHLE) Birthplace: Manitoba, Canada Height: 6'1'' Weight: 186 lbs Draft History: VHLM Draft: 22nd Overall (S92) Houston Bulls VHLE Draft: 31st Overall (S93) Oslo Storm VHL Draft: 17th Overall (S93) Calgary Wranglers VHLM Stats: 72 GP / 5 G/ 7 A/ 12 P/ + 1/ 49 Shots/ 16 PIM / 49 Hits/ 6 Shot Blocks/ 1 GWG/avg 9.30 TOI VHLM Playoffs Stats: 12 GP / 0 G / 0 A / 0 P / -1 / 3 Shots / 0 PIM/ 1 Hit/ avg 3.10 TOI VHLE Stats: In progress - 10 GP/ 0 G/ 0 A/ 0 P/ Even/ 4 Shots/ 0 PIM/ 3 Hits/ 1 Shot Blocks/avg 11.94 TOI Miner vHLer is an interesting prospect and a potential massive sleeper of the S93 VHL draft. As a hockey player, Miner does not have much going for him. Miner is essentially a high IQ, hockey smarts player, with no other upside at this point in time. One could say, Miner vHLer is a prospect who is "2 years away from being 2 years away" from being Good in the VHL. A literal Diamond in the Rough type of prospect. Nicknamed "the Super Bot" in the VHLM by his fellow teammates on the Houston Bulls, Miner vHLer did not show any particular growth or potential throughout the season, as shown by his lacklustre production in the regular season. Miner vHLer performed stably well with the limited time on ice he was given by GM @AJW. It was not until the S92 VHLM playoffs did Miner vHLer started showing some of his true worth. Leadership and Discipline. Miner vHLer's leadership on the ice and on the bench was very impactful for the Houston Bull's playoff run, and a major factor on why Miner wore the "A" on his jersey, despite being a player with no particular talent. Pro High Leadership; one could say Miner vHLer has the knowledge to be the best leader in VHL history High Disciple; Miner vHLer has grown into a player who may be the most disciplined player in the VHL, however he does have a tendency to step up and defend his teammates via a fight. Potential; Miner vHLer is a prospect with the definition of Diamond in the Rough. Miner has a lot of room for growth. Con Average; Miner vHLer is not particularly good at anything, and possibly particularly bad at everything
  7. We start our VHLE S93 highlights with the Third Game of the new VHLE season. To close off Day One of S93 in the VHLE, we have a match-up between the visiting Bratislava Watchmen and the home team Oslo Storm. This is the first look for the two teams in S93, and the home team looks to be almost twice the size of the visitors. The home team lights the lamp first in the first period from a goal by UghSike @UghSike just 8:03 into the first period on the power play. Luke Glendenning @ColeMrtz of the Bratislava Watchmen quickly ties up the game at 10:11, slightly over 2 minutes after. The Oslo Storm continues their onslaught as they pepper starting Goaltender B-BRA G1 until Antonia Bucatini @CowboyinAmerica sneaks one past the mighty goaltender at 14:46 of the first period. Benjamin Abenduct @Schnee adds another for the Oslo Storm, a power play goal, to give Oslo a 3 - 1 lead at 15:19. The two quick goals in succession has forced the Bratislava Watchmen's coach's hands, and a Goalie Switch was initiated. Devon Giguere @omniscius takes over for the Watchmen in net. The change of goaltender by Watchmen head coach seems to have a rapid effect to team moral, as Luke Glendenning scores their second of the night and season 19:07 in the first period to make it a 3 - 2 Oslo Storm lead heading into the first intermission. The Oslo Storm peppered the Watchmen net with 18 shots to Bratislava Watchmen's 9 shots in the period. The Bratislava Watchmen comes out strong in the second period, determined to tie up the game. The Watchmen outshot the Storm 10 to 7 in the second period, but were unable to solve Oslo goaltender B-OSL G1. Game remains 3 - 2 for the Oslo Storm heading into the Third Period. The Watchmen and Storm continue a very even and hard fought match throughout the third period. With 1:49 left in the third period, Bratislava Watchmen pulls their goaltender to go 6 on 5 in an attempt to tie the game. Antonia Bucatini scores their 2nd goal of the night into the empty net just 12 seconds later at 18:23 to make the game 4 -2. The Watchmen leaves their net empty as they do not give up and Aeschylus Jigglejawns CXXXVII II @.sniffuM scores their first of the season 8 seconds later to give the Watchmen life. The goal at 18:31 made the game 4 - 3, however Tobias Weiss @jfaly takes a late game interference penalty at 19:17 forcing Devon Giguere to return to the game and ending the Watchmen's hope of catching up. The Oslo Storm held on to win their first game of the season by the score of 4 - 3. Final shot count: 40 to 30 in favour of the Oslo Storm. 3 Stars of the game 1 - Antonia Bucatini (OSL) - 2 Goals, 2 points, +2, 4 shots, 1 hit, 19 for 35 on the faceoffs on team high 29.19 minutes for the Oslo Storm 2 - Luke Glendenning (BRA) - 2 Goals, 2 points, +1, game high 10 shots, 2 hits, 1 block, 24 for 37 on the faceoffs for Bratislava Watchmen 3 - Benjamin Abenduct (OSL) - 1 Goal, 1 Assist, 2 points, +2, 4 shots, 1 hit for the Oslo Storm Honourably Mentions and Extra Notes: Bratislava Watchmen goaltender Devon Giguere was perfect in their start, stopping 21 of 21 shots, and was somehow credited with the Loss even though they did not start the game. Stupid score keeper. Stupid. Oslo Storm goes 2 for 5 on the power play and perfect 1 for 1 on the penalty kill. Both teams started their Bot-tender in their first game of the season. [Word Count 630]
  8. Review: Good, simple interview. Well formatted to differentiate the Interviewer and Interviewee, which makes it an easy read. The use of different colours for each person's dialogue makes a big difference as well! Great use of tags and love how you even have an author signature by the title. Diverse questionaire, well thought out. Look forward to seeing what's next in stored for Wlad! Keep up the good work! 10/10
  9. We caught up with VHL Calgary Wranglers' prospect Miner vHLer @Rhynex Entertainment today. Miner vHLer has been playing for the Oslo Storm in the VHLe and had just finished his first week of games in S93. Reporter: Hello Miner! Nice to see you again! How was your first week in the VHLe? Mv: Hello. It has been a rough week of games in the VHLe. We had a tough week and only finished 4-3-1. Reporter: What do you think is the problem and cause of concern? Mv: No problem at all, it's a long season and we are just starting to build chemistry. Plus a lot of us had issues with getting used to the time zone. We'll do better next week. Reporter: How did you find your play in your first eight games of the season? Mv: Honestly, I could have done more. Been better. I need to shoot more, one shot blocked, one missed shot, and one shot on net is not good enough. I need to move more, two hits and one shot block is not nearly enough to fill my position as an energy guy. I got to take my game up a notch and use the time I'm giving more wisely. Reporter: Thank you! Best of luck in your next week of games. [Word count 219]
