    Yo this is sick! Thanks
  2. 1. Yes, definitely. It's gonna make the VHL teams even better and I always like expansions! 2. No, didn't know they got them, but congratulations to them! 3. Yes. Like I said, I like expansions and I like new teams, so I think it's going to be super fun! 4. So far, I don't have anything against the VHLE, but I don’t think it was really necessary either. Definitely a plus rather than a minus but I don’t think I'd be mad if it didn't happen. 5. Yes, I did and I'm really excited to see what the teams are! 6. No. I honestly forgot, so I'll listen to it tomorrow
  3. 1. I think it could be better, but it's definitely not bad. If we continue like this it isn't great, but I think we'll only improve from here. 2. Definitely. I have no doubt that with the team that we have we can do it. A good team on paper doesn't guarantee you a cup, however, but we'll see how it goes. 3. Depends on what it's about. I've never done a podcast, but I'd be more than happy to try it out. 4. Yes, the Edmonton Oilers. Sadly :DD 5. That it ends. Not that I don't like where I am or I think we're doing badly, but I'm going to play in the VHL next season, and I'm really looking forward to it. But well, we have to finish this season first. 6. Happy is an understatement. I didn't think I'd be the one leading our team in both goals and points, and I don't think I'll lead both, if either, for long. But yes, I'm very very happy at how I'm doing!
  4. 1. My production. I had 8 goals and 8 assists through 15 games, which I was definitely not expecting. It wouldn't be possible without the team, though 2. Dedication. I think we gave it our all and got what we deserved. We had one goal and everyone was dedicated to accomplishing it. 3. Alexander The Great was on fire, Mashford obviously, Sportsboy. Everyone played a part, but I'm going for ClapbombsRus. 4. Personally, a retooling is my favorite to play for, and especially after winning the cup I'm ready for it. Ultimately, it's up to the management I'm not so sure about the fans, however... 5. My friends, definitely. There's many, though. 6. I went to my grandpa's house with my siblings and my mom.
  5. 1. I'm pretty confident in it. If we really want it it's gonna happen and I think we do! 2. Well I would've wanted to play the 21st since the Hounds have obviously been better, but it's late now lol 3. It's really between him and ClapbombsRus. Both have been incredible, but I think the 10 goals from Noah have been clutch and I'm not sure id we'd be here without them. 4. It's been great. Great team, great players, great management, great on-ice play. Everything seems to be well and clicking with the team and I'm honored to be a part of it. 5. I honestly don't really watch TV, so I can't really answer :DD 6. I usually go to Subway if I do go, since there's one right next to where I live. It's great!
  6. 1. It definitely is. But it's all up to us as players to continue updating and stay on this level. And I do believe we can definitely keep this up! 2. As far as our division goes I don't think anyone is beating Mississauga, but I think we should a good second, at least third place team. 3. Locker room. Maybe I don't talk as much as I expected to talk, but I love reading others' messages and it's lovely to see others interacting with eachother. 4. I really don't think we need to, especially with how good we've been doing with this line up and everything. Now of course I don't think it could hurt us much but at the moment I'm confident in our roster. 5. 4x4ing is fun. That's my choice. 6. I love carrots and cucumbers!
  7. 1. I'm late on this, but I can't recall if we won or not 2. Don't know to be honest. Alexander The Great is leading right now, so probably him. 3. I think it really important to get going early. That way you can build on early wins rather than starting to build on them later on. 4. I don't think there's any. I'd play for any team. 5. I don't really eat pie to be honest. 6. We don't really celebrate easter but I love to eat chocolate.
  8. This is a "Goodbye" graphic I made for our beloved captain Braxton Hunter who is leaving to play for Prague in the VHL, next season. I asked him for permission to make this! (Will claim later)
  9. Name: Declan Wolf Age: 18 Nationality: Germany/Poland Born: Slubice, Poland Height: 187cm (6'2'') Weight: 91kg (202lbs) VHL Draft Ranking: 2nd-3rd rounder S76 Stats: (Saskatoon Wild) Strengths: Goal scoring: Declan Wolf has always been known as not only a dangerous sniper, but also in general a dangerous goal scorer and that's what he's best at. He can snipe the puck in the net from long range or close range. He can deke his way around the defenders and deke the goaltender. He can score from anywhere on the ice. He also knows every way that a goal can possibly be scored, which makes him a more dynamic goal scorer and different from other players. Leadership ability: Not many have talked about this, but Declan has been one of the leaders in the locker room ever since he joined the Saskatoon Wild in the middle of this season. Leadership is an underrated yet important skill to have as it not only helps you, but you can also help your teammates with it. It is a trait not many players have at a high level, but Declan Wolf does. Defensive skills: Despite being a danger in the offensive zone and a goal scorer, Declan also possesses really good defensive hockey IQ and knows exactly where he should be on the ice. He also has a big frame and knows how to properly use it to check the puck away from opponents. Declan is also really good at using his stick to his advantage, not only in the offensive zone, but also in the defensive in the ways of taking out passing lanes and stealing the puck from the opposing team. Weaknesses: Overall consistency: During the past season for the Wild Declan Wolf showed incredible talent at times getting 3 points once including two goals and 2 points a total of three times, and other times he looked like he shouldn't even be playing. If we take those three games and count the points he got he has a total of five goals and two assists, totaling to seven points, which is over half of his thirteen total points. This is a huge flaw in his game that he needs to get sorted if he wants to become a key contributor in the VHL. Self-belief and confidence: Now, this is definitely an interesting one. Declan is often seen complimenting his teammates and telling them how well they are doing compared to himself, and also mocking himself. Believing in yourself is something that is absolutely vital if you want to succeed at the pro level, but is something that players gain as they get older and adjust to the new style of play and we can't expect full confidence from an 18-year old in his first season. Still, Declan has always had these problems ever since the first times we were able to see him play, so it most likely isn't about him adjusting to the VHLM play. Quick overview: Declan Wolf is a complete winger and a dynamic goal scorer, who can find a way to score from any spot on the ice while also being a very helpful player to have in the defensive zone with his above-average hockey IQ and good stick and body checking. He has also proven to be a prominent figure in the locker room and a team leader, who puts his team and teammates ahead of himself. This can sometimes be a bad thing though, as Declan lacks the ability to compliment himself and often only thinks about the bad things in himself and his play.
  10. Declan Wolf (#29, left) hugging his teammate after scoring a goal. Declan Wolf and the Saskatoon Wild were left without a playoff spot despite doing very well at the end of the season, including a three-game win streak to end the season off. As many would guess, the team is disapointed after not making the playoffs after a close race and a really good looking chance to get in, but the atmosphere within the team is better than ever. "Right now our locker room is the best in the league, no doubt. Everyone talks to each other, everyone is supportive towards each other, no one ever brings anyone down on purpose. These are just a couple out of the dozens of good things about our locker room and I think that is ultimately what led to our success towards the end of the season. Of course none of this would be possible without our GM (@Doomsday) recruiting everyone for this team and his incredible work in motivating the team. Braxton (@dshervill) did an a incredible job at being the captain and motivating everyone too and also bringing the team together. I wouldn't choose anyone to be our captain over him. Also, I came in late, but I was immediately warmly welcomed by everyone when I came and I was accepted to the group without any delay. I immediately knew I could talk to these guys about anything, at any time," Declan was quoted saying in an interview. Declan had himself a good rookie campaign, scoring nine goals and added four assists for a total of 13 points in 34 appearances. He also had a memorable first game against the Hounds, scoring his first goal and making the game 4-3 to get his team within one 14:08 into the second period. This goal was assisted alone by Jan Hlozek, (@Bojovnik) just like many of Declan's goals. Declan Wolf's stats at the end of the regular season. "I'm happy with how my season went. I obviously wanted to do better but I do have to realize, that this is my first season and only the start of my journey. Scoring my first goal in my first game and assisting my brother Nikita's (@MrE) first goal were some of my highlights this season. I still have a lot of things to work on in my game, especially my consistency, to get better and help whatever team I'm on win," Declan commented about his successful rookie season. Declan is now eligible for the VHL draft, but also the VHLM draft, which means he might not remain a member of the Saskatoon Wild for any longer. Him and his brother, Nikita, are most likely not going to be on the same team next season either, and could both join a new team. They have obviously been tied together, so it might be hard to split up. "I don't really care who drafts me to the VHL, it's a pro team afterall. If I had to choose one, it'd probably be Prague. I'd love to come back to the beautiful city of Saskatoon to play with the boys, especially if Doom somehow manages to get both me and Niki in the draft. It would be really hard to split apart, especially if Niki goes to a team that's far from my team. Well, that's up to Doom and the other GMs to decide and I've let Doom know that he doesn't have to pick me if he's got better options. Anyway, whatever team I play on, Saskatoon or not, Niki or not, I will try my hardest and put in my all to help the team win and hopefully be a key player," Declan said about his future to a reporter. Expectations for Declan Wolf are really high for this draft and the future and he is looking like a really strong prospect so far. He could very well become one of the all-time greats, as well as a great guy to have in the locker room and lead your team if nothing else.
  11. I was first sad that you were leaving and now I'm sad that you didn't :DD Well, you'll be there next year!
  12. 1. I really don't know, but I'd hope to be back here at Sasky. It's up to the GMs though. I'd love to be drafted by any EU team or specifically Prague 2. The fact that I even got picked up by the team. I've really enjoyed my time here and our locker room is amazing! 3. Probably not, haven't really paid attention to the rest of the league. 4. I don't know, like I said I haven't paid attention to the league apart from us. 5. I think I will, but not sure. 6. No, but I'd love to. My family just doesn't have enough money for it
  13. How I'm feeling after a good push to make the playoffs where we fell just short.
  14. 24GP | 7G | 3A | 10P | -8 | 36S | 6 PIM | 30H | 4SB | 1GWG | 4PPG | 0SHG
  15. 1. I think the pickups definitely help the team and at the moment we aren't very far from the playoffs, so I think it's possible for us to make it if we get on a roll! 2. We just have to keep playing consistent and good hockey and do our best and I think eventually we'll get going. 3. Nothing more than before. I think I've played an all around solid game so far and I want to continue that. 4. I think we'll get atleast 30 wins. 5. I hope so. You need a lot of dedication and patience to become a legend and I'm not sure I got those. Well, we'll see if I was a legend when I retire. 6. Me? Niki? No, I won't say a specific player, because I think everyone is a good addition and brings something good and unique to the team.
  16. Declan Wolf has had a hard life and has fought through to pursue his dream. He grew up with a poor family in the German countryside alongside his brother Nikita. His family was really poor and isolated from everything and everyone, and so he didn't have enough money to play hockey, though he had always loved it. It took Declan 3 hours to go to school every day, and there were many hockey rinks on the way there, as well as one in his school and there were always kids playing on those. He didn't have many friends, so, he spent almost all of his free time playing hockey at his school with his brother, as it was free and his only opportunity. He quickly became the best player at his school, and at age 13 he won a hockey skills competition for 10 000€ and started playing ice hockey on his local team. He was so good that in his first year at age 13 he was promoted to play in the German U16 -league and in 26 games he put up an impressive 20 goals and 11 assists for a total of 31 points. The next year Declan continued to play in the U16s and in 32 games he scored an astonishing 44 goals and 21 assists for a total of 65 points and was named the best German U16 player. The next year at age 15 Declan got to play the whole season in the DNL (German U19 league) and in 41 games he scored 29 goals and 11 assists for 40 points and was named The DNL's best rookie. At age 16 Declan played in 28 DNL games and scored 26 goals and 14 assists for 40 points and also got a brief 5-game stint in the DEL (German Men's league) that saw him score a single goal. As a 17 year old he played 12 DNL games and scored 16 goals and 5 assists for 21 points before getting promoted to play in the DEL full-time. In the DEL he played 25 games where he scored 6 goals and 4 assists for 10 points and got on the second All-Rookie Team while playing in less than half of the regular season's games. In 20 playoff games Declan shined big and scored an impressive 9 goals and 7 assists for 16 points and helped his team capture the DEL title. The next year Declan started by playing 17 DEL games and scoring 13 goals and 6 assists for 19 points and was then signed by the Saskatoon Wild of the VHLM. Career totals: German U16: 58GP 64+32=96 DNL: 81GP 71+30=101 DEL: 47GP 20+10=30 | DEL Playoffs: 20GP 9+7=16
  17. 1. What are your thoughts on the Wild's season so far? As a new player I personally don't have much experience yet, but from the two games I have played I think we as a team played well and I think the team is trending upwards and will only get better. 2. Who do you think will end the season with more goals, Gabriel Johnson or Braxton Hunter? Well first off it would've been me if I would've played the whole year, (that's a joke btw) but I don't know much about Johnson or Hunter (or really anyone) yet, so I'll just say Hunter, because he has more right now and he's a forward, so he should get more chances. 3. How does Tanky rack up so many penalty minutes? Simple answer: he's a tank. 4. Do you think we have a shot at making playoffs? I wouldn't say we're out, but I really don't think it's our main focus right now. It would be awesome if we did and I think it's very much a possibility, but personally atleast I'm just focusing on becoming a better player and not getting too ahead of myself. We'll see if we do at the end of the season. 5. What's one good thing that has happened to you during the pandemic? Many good things have happened, since my country (Finland) was never really in a lockdown. I'd say finding new friends online is a good thing. 6. Who is your favourite teammate and why? Definitely Jan Hlozek, no questions asked. He passed me the puck and I scored my first goal and I think he should honestly get half of the puck :D
  18. Declan Wolf recently joined the VHLM's Saskatoon Wild and in his first game for the team he scored his first goal. Here's a graphic I decided to make of him holding his first VHLM goal puck.
  19. Reporter: "Hello, Declan and thanks for making time for this interview. You have recently joined the VHLM's Saskatoon Wild, congratulations! What are your early impressions of the team?" Declan Wolf: "Well, first off, thanks for having me here for this interview. Now, I think it's a great team for me and suits me well. It's a team that's at the bottom of the league but a team that has had a lot of success in the past, and I'd much rather play on a well-known team that is not doing well, so I can help the team get better and also stand out more, so VHL teams are going to be looking at me and hopefully drafting me." Reporter: "I hope you get drafted, as I've heard a lot of good things about you! Alright, what do you think you can bring to the team to help it and how do you think you're going perform?" Declan Wolf: "I'm a goal scorer, so I'm confident I can score some goals for the team, but also pass to my teammates when it's needed. I think I can also bring some positivity and leadership with me. Performance wise, I obviously hope I'm going to do well. I generally get really nervous, so I'm not sure how well I'm going to do at the start, but I think as the season goes on and I get to know the team and the players better, I can also perform better." Reporter: "Those are definitely going to help the team win! Anyways, I know you already talked about this a little, but how do you think you're going to do in your first VHLM game?" Declan Wolf: "That's a tough one, because it could go many different ways. Our opponent, the Mississauga Hounds, aren't doing much better than us, so the game itself could go either way. Like I said, I'm also going to be really nervous and I'm probably not going to get much ice time either, which is expected. I'm going to make the best of the ice time that I'm given though and to me the most important thing is that we get the win, and to get the win the better and more experienced players need to play more than new players like me. Overall, I think I'm going to do well. Not great, but well and I don't think I can expect more from myself." Reporter: "Alright that's it! Thanks again for your time and I wish you good luck for your first game, first season and future!" Declan Wolf: "Thank you, thank you a lot!" Written by me, MrShark
