    1. We've made another big trade bringing in Julia Waffles and Armani Calamari. What's your immediate reaction to this trade?
More DEF and a Philly veteran, whoot whoot!

    2. What's your prediction to where we will finish in the standings this season?
2nd, MIS is slowly pulling away.

    3. What team do you think is the biggest threat for us in the first round of the playoffs?
MIS - Zet has a solid squad

    4. The offense seems to be heating back up after a small slump, what do you think was the biggest factor in breaking the slump?
keep tinkering with the lines and turn the OFFENSE up to 6

    5. Does your player have any pre-game rituals that they do before every game?
Right equipment goes on first, then left of the same piece of equipment

    6. Would you rather win a Continental/Founder's Cup in your career or win a WJC/World Cup gold medal?
    BOTH!

    7. What's your favourite video game to play in your spare time?
    Battlefield 1

    8. Which came first the chicken or the egg?
    Cheken

    9. Controversial Opinion: Cereal is soup once milk is added, thoughts?
NO cold sugary cereal is the bomb, not soup.

    1. Following our 15 game winning streak, what's something the team can focus on to go on another streak?
Staying positive and supporting our teammates.
    2. With the season halfway over, what are you working on to prepare for playoffs?
Sauce passes both catching and receiving and always, edging!
    3. Next season are you planning on going to the VHLE, making the jump straight to the VHL, or staying in the VHLM?
Pending HC Davos needs, more than likely in the E
    4. Our rivalry with Mississauga has been heating up, What do you think is one way we can push past them?
turn the offense all the way up to 6
    5. Last week we made a massive trade, shipping out most of our S81 picks for Donny Carter @TheNeonShaman, Drakon Zabastova @DarkSpyro and Sting Chameleon @Hybrid1486 to try and win now and to get @KaleebtheMighty a Founder's cup before he leaves for the VHLE next season. Where do you think this trade leaves the team among the league in terms of standings?
What an action packed trade, picks, players a robot team.
    6. With the trade deadline approaching, do you think that there's anywhere that we can improve to really push for a Founder's cup?
Seems like it's usually a race to 5, so we need to make sure the OFFENSEN and PP are clicking the week or two heading into the playoffs.  still have a long way to go in regular season though
    7. Should pizza be cut into triangles or squares?
squares, reason being, the pizza usually has a little move snap and grease to it.
    8. With the Olympics ending, how do you feel your home country did? Was there any particular moment that made you proud?
Being from the Congo, not much action here.  Watching the mens track events, you'd think the USA has never been to one of these Olympic things before.
    9. What is a new hobby that you've started doing in your spare time?
Shot Gunning Beers~!   Was hanging out with Ron Gorgonzola and Shawn Glade V after one of the games on our win streak and they showed me how to take your Lambo keys and puncture a can o'beer and chug chug.... you are done sir!

I actually like the text and placement of it but not sure - even if it has a Reaper - how the background really helps anything here and this would almost look better on an all black background because it doesn't really mesh, specially with the placement of the player cut. Almost didn't notice Darth Vader but why not? It's a personal touch in my opinion. Logo on the jersey looks way too faded and with the colors not matching it really sticks out. Lastly, the VHL logo does look very odd in the middle of nowhere but I do like it added to graphics, think you just went a little too hard with this one. You put in a lot of effort which is nice to see and I think the player cut looks pretty good as well. Keep mixing and mastering your skills, you have the skill but you just need to focus on improving on one thing at a time. 7.5/10.

*show's theme song plays and it opens on the set of the sports news show, with the host Joe Smith sitting across from Donny Carter*
Smith: Welcome back to the show everyone! I am your host Joe Smith and I'm here with frequent guest Donny Carter. Donny how has your season been going?
Carter: Well Joe it's good to be back, and honestly the season has been pretty hectic.
Smith: That sounds about right. Before you were traded, how was the season in Houston going?
Carter: Well, personally really well. I was the point leader and was over a point per game. Standings wise however, we just didn't have enough depth to win games. So it was sad to get traded, but everyone was to make sure that we could all have a chance of having a better season. Landing in Philly with Drakon and Sting was probably the best thing that could have happened. I do wish Houston the best of luck as that's where I started my career and I had a lot of fun there.
Smith: How has your time with the Reapers been so far? Quite a different place in the standings. You've gone from a team that was bottom in the league to a team that is fighting to get first. What's the difference in the locker room?
Carter: It's been a blast so far! Everyone has been super nice and I've loved meeting my new linemates on line 2. I got my first few points today actually and I'm so ready to go on a run with this team!
Smith: I would actually like to talk about that, today you played against your previous team the Houston Bulls. What was that like?
Carter: While Houston being the place I started my career, it isn't the same team I started my career with. I wish the best of luck to the Bulls organization but that game was really important for me to move on. And it just so happens that I scored my first goal as a Reaper in that game. And to get on the scoreboard early in my tenure with Philly really helped to relieve some of the pressure of being the new guy and now I can just play my hockey and have a good time.
Smith: And those points just help to add to a great sophomore season that you are having. Is the VHL and joining Riga the goal for next year?
Carter: Honestly I'm not sure. I am having a good season and I hope I can be at the point next season where I can join the Reign in the major league, but it's anyone's guess at this point.
Smith: So I think that is all the time we have for the show. I really hope you have a great rest of the season and I will see you back on the show soon!
Carter: That sounds great Joe! I can't wait to be back and have a great day!
    Smith: Thanks Donny!

Genghis Khan is currently ranked 5th among Reapers in all-time games played, 2nd for goals with 139, and 3rd for points with 271. Being drafted with the 55th overall pick in the S76 VHLM draft, Khan would go on to have a great VHLM career with the Reapers and become a fixture on the first line for two seasons. Although, Khan never won an individual award, they did crack the 50 goal mark and 100 points in season 77 and would be a valuable part of the Reapers forward core during season 78. After playing for the Reapers Khan would go on to play for the New York Americans in the VHL.

Khan was solid all around for the Reapers. Drafted back in S76, they spend 3 full seasons with the team, and I got to see him in action from a management standpoint for 2 of those seasons. He was consistent, reliable, and a presence on the ice that helped the Reapers continue their great level of play. 3 seasons of commitment and production make Khan an easy add to the HOF for the Philadelphia Reapers; it was an honor to have him wear the Reapers sweater in the VHLM.

    1. Assuming the VHLE Gms have been named by the time you're reading this, what is your first reaction to the GMs?
    - hmmmmm, not seeing anything.  there's a new league?   lol
    2. Which of the VHLE teams would you want to play for and why?
    - my preference would be for whichever team/organization has the best leadership
    3. With the recent play of Mexico and Mississauga, are we one of the top three contenders?
    - I feel we are the top team, MEX CIT is a fraud and MIS is not having as easy of a go of it as expected on paper.
    4. Which player on the team are you most impressed with this season?
    - It's hard not to be impressed with everyone....  Bates is having an awesome season, the way Tsarov scores in bunches is fun to watch, Reinhart is has been great in net, the entire D core gives us a chance to win every game.
    5. What do you think of the Reaper's Hall of Fame? Which former Reaper would you want to see inducted?
    - Reaper HOF is cool.
    6. How has your players production changed over the last week, are you happy with?
    - Whatever we did in the 10-1 win, we should keep doing.  Overall, I'm surprised with how consistent I've been this season.  I think there are only 1-2 without a point.
    7.  What is your favourite snack food?
    Salt & Vinegar chips
    8. If you could bring 2 items (not a boat) to a deserted island what would they be?
    - a satellite phone and sunscreen
    9. Opinion: Chocolate is the best ice cream!
    - Correct!

Dmaximus served as the GM of the Philadelphia Reapers from season 68 until season 77. During their time as the GM of the Reapers, Dmaximus had an impressive regular season record with 335 wins and only 264 losses. Despite their regular season success, Philadelphia would often struggle in the playoffs and would have a hard time getting out of the first round. In season 75, Philadelphia put together an incredible playoff run, getting past Yukon in 4, San Diego in 5, and finally defeating Mexico City in 6 to win the second Founder’s Cup in franchise history.

    Testimonials:

    @Ricer13
Dmax was always a team first guy. The majority of what went on in his LR was private as it was a team only style LR. From a GM perspective Dmax was always a very easy going manager to talk to when it came to anything. Any player who came through Philly spoke highly of their experience. That is important as the M is the gateway to the VHL and retention is key. He was one of the good ones that helped new members learn and enjoy their time before moving up to the big leagues.

    @InstantRockstar
When you look back at the tenure of Dmax in Philly, stemming all the way back to his hiring in S68 you can't help but see an amazing, talented mind at work. Dmax seemed to get along with jus2t about everyone and fit into the "GM" mold in the minor league very well. He is bright, ambitious and really charismatic, was eager like most of us to get his feet wet and show that he was truly capable of being in his role. I know his role started kind of on the downswing with an elimination from playoff contention but since that first season of his, he never looked back and truly put together a dominant force in the VHLM. Philly was dominant because of him from S69 to S73 and his knowledge proved he knew what he was doing, as he would rebuild for only one short season in S74 before finally capturing his coveted founders cup the very next season. I think in the end, Dmax left a tenure he, and anyone could be proud of, on top of the world and just an excellent, class act. Nothing but respect for Dmax

    @KaleebtheMighty
He consistently brought together the locker room with a unity that was unique to the Philadelphia Reapers. It was a different way from other teams, and it helped shape me into the GM I am now. And I wouldn’t be nearly as good if it wasn’t for his stewardship.

The franchise leader in games played, goals, assists, and points, Bud Knight was the Philadelphia Reapers during his tenure. Although Bud Knight never won an individual or team award, they did put together some pretty solid seasons, recording a career high 49 goals in season 71, and 123 points in season 70.

    @DMaximus
Bud Knight was already an international superstar prior to joining the Reapers thanks to a successful advertising campaign. Drafting him was a huge move for the Reapers. It really solidified the Reapers as a dominant franchise in the VHLM. Shortly after joining the team, Bud Knight made it known he wanted to be a Reaper for life. He lived the team motto “Once a Reaper, always a Reaper.” This commitment to the team (and roster rule changes along the way) is why he will likely always be the all-time franchise leader in most statistical categories. He helped define what it means to be a Reaper and his induction into the Reaper Hall of Fame is well earned and well deserved.

The white on white text actually looks pretty good with the simple but solid background and the text really pops, logo swap looks pretty good too and nothing to indicate it doesn't belong. The logo kind of looks like it's stamped to the background which is a little different, I see what you are going for though. Nice to see you are on the all-tourney team but it kind of looks thrown on afterwards, could put the jersey number in a better location too because it seems a big odd to me. 8/10.

    The Cheerleader Award
The Cheerleader Award is something I invented because of the support and awareness needed to make this tournament successful. The Cheerleader Award is for the team who builds the best hype train, screams the loudest, and obsessively cares about the WJC. This year’s Cheerleader was a GM who pumped up their team in and out of the tournament with hype graphic announcements and pumping players’ tires at draft time. Your S78 Cheerleader Award winner is:

His Team World ‘shops were just legendary.

Speaking of legendary, our friendly neighbourhood VSN WJC Correspondant Ledge and/or Dairy kept a close eye on the tournament:

    S79 WJC Round Robin Review

We all knew that this WJC was going to be bizarre when Team Canada started winning. And win they did, in droves, finishing tied for 1st seed with a 6-2-0 record, but gaining first place via the goal differential tiebreaker, in which they led massively. The top 4 RR scorers belonged to Canada.

Team World, however, is a decorated team, and they surprised very few en route to the same record as the Canadians. Comprised of the best players from all the less-represented nations, this edition of World’s only two losses came at the hands of their counterpart Canada and the eventual champions Europe.

Speak of the devil, the Europeans started off a bit slower, but their supercharged roster had to pay off sooner or later. They had a rollercoaster of a round robin, going 4-3-1 and never getting a streak greater than 2 games, but the 8 initial games as a group allowed the squad to gel and they went into the elimination rounds full of confidence with a 6-4 win over World to cap off the RR.

After two straight seasons of boffo performances from the typically basement-dwelling Asian team, this edition took a step back. With a roster largely made up of castaways, Asia still managed to take down Europe in their proudest effort of the tourney. With a 2-5-1 record, they didn’t squeeze into a semis bye, but at least they stayed out of last place.

Team USA has been historically bad at the WJHC. It was a bad omen when two S80 players made the cut, and although they both fared well, I can’t say the same for the Americans as a whole. They finished 2-6-0, falling two points short of Asia for the place in front of them. They had only one player at a point per game pace.

Thank you to everyone who made this tournament happen. This year's edition was exceptionally difficult, and included GM resignations, games played under protest, STHS issues, and schedule changes. The resiliency of the GM team was unparalleled, and the WJC couldn't have happened without their unwavering support.

As always, the men behind the curtain deserve a special shoutout. Josh and RJ make this thing happen. RJ builds the eligibility lists and GMs would be lost during roster selection without him. Super Simmer Josh helps train the GMs on STHS, while always simming games with a high level of integrity. Thank you, both of you.
