  1. 1. The team is looking pretty dangerous now! We've got a very deep roster and I think we've got a fighting chance. 2. I think Malmo might not make it. They've got high talent but a huge gap between top players and depth. 3. Shubham Anand is looking like he's going to have a great rookie year. 4. Easily AK, going to be the driving force everywhere on the ice. (Dark horse MVP is Tucker Jr) 5. Hoping to see 30 points at least. Solid depth player production would be great. 7. Definitely. He's got the finish line in sight and I think it's only a matter of time.
  2. 1. It's looking great! Looks like we are getting the bases for a future powerhouse. 2. I think this year will be mostly a progress year for the team, but we could be a sleeper team if things go really right. 3. Being one of those young faces, very hyped! 4. We've got a bunch of cap space and a team that should be rising over the next few seasons, I don't see why not! 5. Very hyped! I won't be super active unfortunately but I'll be rooting for the team the whole way! 6. The Bruins are currently undefeated and I'm loving it! I do miss Bergeron though.
  3. 1. It's going pretty well, just been really busy. 2. Pretty much everything, but the offense would be nice to see. 3. Definitely didn't really hit expectations, however I wasn't super active in getting my player better so it's partly my fault. 4. Probably consistency. We never really got large win streaks last year and there were lots of random losses. 5. Super excited to potentially get a chance to play with Napoleon Dynamite. Superstar in the league. 6. Definitely the legendary Donny Carter. Absolute stud right there.
  4. Beautiful trade tree, making me want to get back to work on my never ending project
  5. *Show’s theme song plays. Camera shows Joe Smith sitting at a desk, and Gregger McKeggegger sitting across from him.* Joe Smith : Welcome back to the show folks! Today I've got Los Angeles Stars rookie Gregger McKeggegger with me to talk about their wild season and how it's been for him! Kegger how's it going? Gregger McKeggegger : It's going good Joe, happy to have made it into the playoffs! Smith : That's right, you did finally clinch tonight with only a couple games left! Congratulations! McKeggegger : Thanks Joe, really proud of the whole team. Smith : With the first half of the season you had, was there ever any doubt in the locker room about making it into the playoffs? McKeggegger : I had some nerves, some of the other younger guys did as well. But there's nothing like having leaders like Sirdsy and Clix helped to give us some confidence, and I feel like once we started to build momentum, it brought us the confidence we needed to go on that great end of season run. Smith : Is there an urge in the locker room to get these leaders a championship here before they retire? McKeggegger : Undoubtedly. Guys like Coins and Sirdsy are done after this. There's a sense around the locker room that we've got to get it done. Smith : Speaking of Jason Coiner, there was some controversy about the work done at the trade deadline and if it had strengthened or weakened the team. What were the initial reactions to core players such as Nezuko and Dabnad Shaw getting traded? McKeggegger : Well it's never easy. I had so much fun on the ice with both of them, and learned a lot too. Especially because of their respective reputations and the quality of careers they've had, it was a tough loss for the whole team. However Coins came in and instantly made an impact, personality wise and through amazing play. I've got a lot of respect for Coins just based on how they fought their way through the minor leagues and the VHLE for more seasons than most, and then once they got into the VHL fought some more on a fading and then rebuilding team. Now Coins has a shot at their only championship in their last season. I think they were just the missing piece we needed. Johnny and Benny also came in and fit really well. Smith : It was really a remarkable thing to see this team fight all the way back and earn the playoff spot. Now that you've made it this far, do you think this is a special team that could potentially make waves this postseason? McKeggegger : I'm not going to say anything about how I think we'll do. I'm a little too superstitious to do that. However I do believe that we've got a ton of chemistry, and that we've got some great momentum heading into the playoffs. Smith : Alright Kegger, well I'm so excited to see how the Stars perform this playoffs, maybe we see a fairytale run! Thanks for coming on the show, hopefully we can chat again soon! McKeggegger : It was a pleasure as always, thanks for having me! Smith : Alright folks that's all for today, make sure to tune in next time! *Show’s outro plays and the screen fades to black.* Word Count : 550 For Week of 7/23
  6. 1. Our team, because we've had a bad season. 2. I would procrastinate a ton and not update enough. 3. The two-way forwards. Players that are impactful everywhere on the ice. 4. Blocks, it's one of the main defensive stats and I would say very important. 5. I've had sushi. Anything other than raw fish, I don't think so. 6. Yes. It's good to see places that aren't your own home. A little adventure can go a long way.
  7. 1. Pretty much everything at the moment. 2. Not sure, we've got a very quality roster that just doesn't seem to be clicking. 3. Maybe something like improving the 2nd defense pair? 4. A truly elite defenseman doesn't have to be the highest scoring. They should control play in their own end and then help to be a piece of the offense and help it to click better. High point totals are a bonus. They should first and foremost be elite defensively. 5. I have, I went to an island in the Carribean. 6. Guaranteed safe 100% I definitely would go to space. I feel like that would be life changing.
  8. 1. Bubbles Utonium has been unreal for DC, I think they are higher in the standings than a lot would have expected. 2. With McKeggegger and Francis leading the youth movement, we can insure that it will be a long time before they break it. 3. S84. My old player Donny Carter's first (and only) season with Davos. He had broken out the previous year and on a new and stacked team I expected big things, not the second lowest point total of his career. 4. Yes definitely, I really enjoy the jumping between the three leagues, and the E makes it so there isn't any giant skill gaps in the M for new players (400 to 100) and it also gives players coming into the VHL have more of a fighting chance. 5. Alaska. It's absolutely gorgeous there, I think people just think of it as cold and they would rather warm places. 6. I have never heard of or listened to The Stokes.
  9. Gregger McKeggegger Gregger McKeggegger is a 6'5", now 23 year old left winger. The two-way forward is set to make his VHL debut tomorrow for the Los Angeles Kings. The young winger has already had quite the career spanning the VHLM, VHLE, and World Junior Championships. After a fascinating journey through the lower leagues, Gregger is ready to make the jump to the VHL and show the league what he's got. Now to look back at his career in the lower leagues to see if he has what it takes to make a difference in the big league. VHLM Gregger was drafted 9th overall to the Ottawa Lynx (After playing the end of S86 with the Philadelphia Reapers as a free agent). He did not wait long to make his impact and enjoyed immense success in a system and locker room that seemed tailored to him. Gregger dominated the league, finishing the 72 game season with 62 goals and 62 assists for a staggering 124 points. The team gelled together so well and there were many great memories for Gregger. He finished 5th in league scoring, tied for 2nd in goals, and was 10th in assists. McKeggegger has also displayed no hesitation to shoot the puck, as he led the VHLM in shots taken and had an average of 6.76 shots per game. He also had the clutch factor, tying the league lead for game winning goals with 14. Heading into the playoffs, Gregger continued his impressive scoring, and led the Lynx in scoring, finished 3rd league wide in playoff scoring, 1st in goals, 5th in assists, and shot even more with 7.18 shots per playoff game. All of this led up to the Ottawa Lynx lifting the Founder's Cup, Gregger McKeggegger's first trophy. VHLE After Gregger's success in the M, he was drafted 11th overall by the Oslo Storm in the VHLE. His first reaction is that he should have gone earlier. To prove everyone who passed on him wrong, he wanted to have another phenomenal season. It didn't start great though; he wasn't putting up a lot of points and was well behind a point per game. However, when things started to click, they really clicked. Gregger finished 8th in league scoring with 87 points and tied for 4th in goals with 40. He also continued to pile the pucks on net, even in the more difficult league, Gregger had 408 shots and 5.67 shots per game. He also continued to come in clutch and tied three others for third in the league in game winning goals (7). Oslo stepped confidently into the playoffs, even with playing their rivals the Cologne Express. After a hard fought 7 game series, the Storm made it to the finals and they took care of business. Gregger McKeggegger has won championships in both leagues he played in, in the one season he did in each. During the playoffs Gregger wasn't the top player on his team, but he still had 13 points in 13 games, and tied for the 4th most goals in the playoffs (6). The shots continued as well (5.46 shots per game). WJC On a more worldwide scale, Gregger played for two years on the US world juniors team. In the first year, McKeggegger was a bottom of the lineup player, only contributing 2 points in the first 14 games, and then in the playoffs he had just one assist. However, the US went on to win gold, and Gregger went home with some bling. Then the S88 world juniors came along, and Gregger was hyped to be involved. He was a top line player and did not disappoint. In the US's amazing regular season, Gregger had 17 points in those 10 games. Unfortunately, the US lost in the semifinals, with McKeggegger nowhere to be found. Their journey wasn't over however, the bronze medal game was still to be played, and what a game that turned out to be. In a wild matchup against Canada, the US went down two goals heading into the third when suddenly, the team (and McKeggegger especially) clicked. He started off the period getting an assist to cut the deficit to 1. Then with just over 5 minutes to go, he scored a power play goal and tied the game. Then in overtime, Gregger McKeggegger was the US hero, potting the bronze medal winning goal. 10. 1. We've got a great team, I would say top two in the conference, top four in the league. 2. Myself, Gregger McKeggegger. I'm looking forward to a great season. 3. I think DC could surprise people, probably not making the playoffs, but they could be competitive and try to make a push. 4. I think Helsinki could be an option here, they've got good players, but not any superstars. 5. My favorite grain. Honestly I'm not sure. The bread I eat most is white bread. I don't eat a whole ton of grain. I'll say whole grain because I eat whole grain goldfish. 6. I feel like Kendrick Lamar would be a super cool concert, but I would love to see another Imagine Dragons concert, or get to an AJR concert that is super unique and entertaining would be sick.
  11. 1. Last season LA didn't have Gregger McKeggegger. But also I just think the changes that were made to the team to change the layout and make some different chemistry. 2. We had a great draft, a lot of really solid prospects. hopefully some will develop, and also the obvious big steal for us is great. 3. The search will continue until one who is worthy appears. 4. I'm not expecting a huge rookie season, but anything could happen. Setting my standards low and hoping for 15 goals and 20 assists. 5. I've gone into this before but it's pretty complicated. Not being specific, I have my pre-game meal, go to the rink, warmup my muscles and stretch, play soccer with a few of the guys, put on my equipment, talk to every player on the team in a certain order, walk down the tunnel a certain way, then pre game warmups are also specific. I'm pretty superstitious. 6. My pre-game meals are something that I've been interviewed about in the past. Nothing will ever consistently help me perform well. It's an ongoing battle and I will continue to fight it.
  12. 1. I think just depth and how relentless we were. We only really had one game it didn't look good in, we came to fight every other game. 2. It feels incredible, all that we went through, this season was a battle and coming out on top just feels amazing. 3. I'll bring it back home and show it to some family members. Probably will eat something out of it, haven't decided what yet. 4. An absolutely wild night of bar hopping and we actually went into the woods for a bit too. I know we brought sleds but that part is pretty fuzzy. 5. I've got some big prep to do, I want to improve my game as much as possible. I'll definitely have at least one vacation though. 6. It's time to hit the big leagues and see how I'll do. I'm really excited to live in LA, it'll be a big change of scenery for sure.
  13. Here's a link to the predictions if you haven't read it yet: Right before the season started I made predictions on breakout candidates for every single VHL team. Now I think it’s a perfect time to review! Also it’s worth noting that my definition of breaking out usually hovers around getting at least 50 points, though with some players in the previous article I made more specific predictions, so my judgment might be different depending on the player. Yes I do brag when I get a prediction right. Calgary Wranglers Vincent Laroche-Gagnier @vincentlg2007 (S86) VLG put up 21 goals and 43 points total in 72 games. He didn’t manage to break 55 points like I expected, even with the two elite centers. I wouldn’t call it a bad season or a failure, but it’s just a little lower than I expected. Still plenty of time for VLG to breakout. Chicago Phoenix Alexander Minion @UnknownMinion (S85) What a season for Minion. Finally put into a starting role, they got almost 40 wins and boasted a sparkling 0.923 save percentage. Minion backstopped the Phoenix to the 4th best record in the league. Even in Chicago’s in and out of the playoffs, Minion had a 0.939 save percentage, proving the Phoenix should be confident in goaltending for seasons to come. DC Dragons Lucas Grey @emidas (S86) With a 21 point season, it would be hard to say that Grey broke out. However, the Dragons were also last in the league, so some of the lack of production might have been an across the team epidemic. HC Davos Dynamo Lachlan Summers @kirbithan (S86) I should just predict goalies at this point. Summers had a stellar season (just as expected, not to pat myself on the back). Just like Minion, Summers had nearly 40 wins, but put up the 3rd best save percentage in the league to go with it (0.932). She had a good playoff performance too, not nearly as good but still with a 0.920 save percentage and 7 wins before Davos bowed out. Helsinki Titans Daryl Dixon @Ricer13 (S86) I’m super proud of this one. I didn’t just say Dixon would breakout, I said he would be over a point per game, and I was right. Dixon was a bright spot on an otherwise gray season for the Titans. I would not be surprised to see him have another fantastic year next year. London United Leonard Triller @Triller (S86) I would say it was a decent year. Calling it a breakout might stretch it a little, however a 47 point rookie season is pretty good. I would be surprised if Triller didn’t start to make a big impact in London going forward, but this season wasn’t as big as I expected with the star power down the middle that London has. Los Angeles Stars Sunglasses Joyo @JetsGoalie101 (S85) I was really hoping that I could hit on this one, but unfortunately Sunglasses did not hit the 55 point mark I predicted. However, with a 51 point season I think it’s safe to say Joyo definitely contributed quite a bit to the depth of the Stars, and helped to make them a better team. It’s hard to call it a breakout, as Joyo had 38 points last year, so I was looking for just a little more. A solid season nonetheless. Malmo Nighthawks Yaroslav Trunov @qripll (S87) Trunov did not breakout, scoring 38 points on a rebuilding Malmo team. I may have been premature in thinking that more ice time would help, and Trunov was even outscored by the Nighthawks 1st round pick from the season 88 draft in defenseman Jacob Stone. However there’s no reason to panic on the young winger, and I’m sure Trunov will find his footing sooner rather than later. Moscow Menace Left Alone @okochastar (S86) Left Alone had a nice solid season. 43 points is actually a great jump up from last season in Seattle, where they had 14 points. Playing pretty far down the depth chart, one could only hope that Alone might get some more opportunities next season and showcase some more of the obvious talent. Is it a breakout? I would say it could be considered one. 43 points isn’t as high as some players that didn’t have breakout seasons, but Alone increased their season point total by nearly 30, which is very impressive and a much bigger increase than other players showed. New York Americans Babay Shrimp @Blazzer (S85) With one of the higher point totals of the players on this list, Shrimp manages to still not hit my expectation of 60. I feel a little bad saying Shrimp didn’t break out though, as 57 is very close and a good point total. 16 points better than her previous best season. A very solid year for Shrimp. Prague Phantoms Nikolas Kauppi @Tetricide (S85) With no players left to breakout on the Phantoms. I gave Kauppi the expectations of exceeding his rookie year total of 54 and getting close to point per game. Unfortunately he did the opposite, and the sophomore slump took Kauppi down to 39 points. A rough year for the winger. Riga Reign Skor McFleury @Alex (S87) McFleury had a great year. 55 points and not to mention 23 goals as a defenseman. I would say he’s made a name for himself as a very talented defenseman in this league. I said Skor would take a big step towards being a point per game, and I would say while not the biggest step, it’s still big enough to classify as breaking out. Especially as a defenseman. Seattle Bears Yaroslav Bogatyrev @Bojovnik (S86) It feels so good to hit on some of my more ambitious predictions. In Seattle I could have gone with talented rookie Randy Bobandy, and I would have been right there too as Bobandy had a very nice 60 point sophomore year. However I decided to shoot my shot and predict that Bogatyrev would not only breakout, but put up 70+ points this year. With a very nice 77 point season, I would say that matches the prediction. What a great season. Toronto Legion Jimi Jaks @kelvi (87) Jaks had a decent rookie year. I wouldn’t really classify it as breaking out, but a 43 point rookie season is pretty good. I might be putting him back on next seasons list. Vancouver Wolves Wann Kerr @VattghernCZ (S86) Kerr along with FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY Analfist and Oreo McFleury, who I also mentioned, did not break out. Kerr actually had the most points between them, with 43. Swing and a miss. Warsaw Predators Tim Riggins @Jayhawk (S87) In hindsight it might have been wishful thinking for Riggins to break out, just barely eligible for the VHL out of the VHLE, Riggins probably wasn’t ready for the big leagues this year, only putting up 8 points. Better luck next year! Review So out of the 16 predictions I made, 6 came true. There were also a few that were close but didn’t seem to me like breakouts, or I gave specific thresholds of points that didn’t get hit. Lots of young talent in the VHL, not everyone can be a star. But for the 6 players who did breakout, there are some new stars in the making ready to make some waves. Word Count: 1193 For Weeks of 6/4, 6/11
  14. *Joey Sloth, a reporter for Joe Smith, stands with Gregger McKeggegger on the ice. There are people swarming everywhere, and the Oslo celebration is in full effect.* Joey Sloth: *whenever Sloth talks, it's a little slow, and it kind of makes McKeggegger give him a look in the beginning* Congrates on the Cup Gregger! Let's start with the basics, how do you feel? Gregger McKeggegger: You know Joey it's pure elation! The way the season started and how we found our form, then that insane first round against the Express, all of it leading to a great finals, really I'm just so happy to get it done with this group. Sloth: That's very true. How did that first round series seem to prepare you for the finals? McKeggegger: Well it's been a tough year for us against the Express. It was always a hard game against them, and they got the better of us in more of the meetings this season. We put everything on the line that series, and it was kind of a feeling around the locker room that if we won that series, we would win the finals. Winning that series was really just so satisfying and finally getting the better of them in the end meant so much. Sloth: That rivalry was one of my personal favorites to watch throughout the season. A very climactic ending to it indeed. *long pause where McKeggegger looks around to see if he's good to go.* Gregger, how were you feeling when Rome took games 4 and 5. Was there any creeping worries about them pulling the impossible and winning four straight. McKeggegger: Uh, you know that's always gonna start to creep in, but at the end of the day it's all about playing our game, and knowing that we are the better team and that as long as we stay focused on how we play, we will win. And it all ended up good in the end, really happy that we shut them down in game 6, a 7th game would have had nerves high. Sloth: How does it feel to be able to lift that trophy over your head? McKeggegger: Oh it's unbelievable. This season felt like a lot more of a fight all year than my season in Ottawa where things were just cruising most of the time. It really feels like we fought for this trophy and earned it, lifting it just makes it feel so real and incredible. Sloth: I'm sure it does. *Sloth stares at the trophy in another Storm player's hands eagerly and a little creepily.* McKeggegger: Uh Joey? Sloth: Now you have a very interesting storyline going for your career. You had one season in each of the VHLM and VHLE and won championships in both. Do you think you will be able to capture the Continental Cup and complete your trifecta? McKeggegger: I mean of course it's on my mind. I would be lying if I said it wasn't something I wanted to do. I think with going up to this Los Angeles team, I'm so excited to jump into the VHL and really try to make an impact early on. And yeah, I want to win that Continental Cup, hopefully with LA! Sloth: Alright Gregger, I'll let you go celebrate, can't wait to see what you will do next season! Congrats again! *Cut back to the studio so Joe Smith can continue the show* Word Count: 574 For Week of 5/28
  15. 1. We were persistent and we didn't give up. We got pucks in deep. Hockey cliches! 2. Game 6 was pivotal. The series was so tight and getting that momentum and leaving that game on a high, it just felt like we would get it done in game 7. 3. We match up well, I think we have more depth though, I think we'll just have to see how it goes. 4. There's a lot of hanging out around Oslo, I think struggling early on helped us to kinda look at the locker room and figure out what to fix. We did a lot of work early on finding our rhythm. 5. From what I've seen, really good drafting has been huge, I know a bunch of the players picked this year have had monster seasons. Great GMing too, the management and coaching has been key to this team's success. Making trades when needed or changing the lineup at the right times have helped to propel this team every season. 6. Playing like we've been playing. We were on a roll during the second half of the regular season, and we played great most of the first round. As long as we keep things going, the team can win any game.
  16. 1. It's difficult to say, they're a team who's given us a lot of trouble this season. We gotta put that behind us now and just play like it's any other team. I'm excited to be a part of the rivalry though. 2. Strong mindset and don't get shaken by small things. Play the way that's worked to help us win all year. 3. Ugh this is a long one. I might have to explain it more in depth another time but mainly I eat, go to the rink, stretch, soccer with a few of the guys, put on my equipment, talk to every player in the team in a specific order, walk down the tunnel in a specific way, then in warmups I have a routine I do there too. As I've said before, I'm superstitious. 4. I can't sleep on planes or buses because my neck gets really bad cramps, so I'll watch TV or movies. Sometimes I'll go over game footage if I'm feeling productive or nervous about a game. When everyone's awake we'll hang out. Play music and compare tastes, sometimes we have chess or other games. Some of the team plays poker but I'm not really into that, mainly because I'm not very good. 5. That would be great! I love Bauer gear, so getting them as a sponsor could be awesome. 6. I love the city, but I think just the way the community really cares about the team and gets behind it is so incredible. You'd think it was major league by how much they support us.
  17. 1. Just keep playing our game, we found our stride and with our depth scoring we are doing great. 2. If we are seen as any less than a true contender I would be surprised. 3. Going out with some of the guys. During an off weekend a few of us went camping and that was a crazy time. 4. Definitely, I've got a specific order I put on my equipment, a specific way I do everything on gamedays. Except meals. Those are my nemesis. 5. I would say Prague, because stats wise they are the better team. However Seattle is right behind them in points, and has been perfectly in form with a 7 game win streak. I would call them the favorites. 6. I don't like Chicago. So I'm not too happy about it.
  18. Finding the Balance Going to Europe, Kegger didn't really take advantage of the opportunity at first. He was too determined to prove the teams that passed on him wrong, and that affected his game and his mood. He wasn't going out with teammates, opting instead to either hit the weight room or go over game footage. Kegger probably would have struggled that way the whole season. That was until yet another game without a point for him, teammate Rip Wheeler saw him going back to the weight room and caught him on his way there. Wheeler dragged Kegger to a local Oslo bar that they frequent, and after a few drinks, Kegger was having a blast. That night things changed. Kegger stopped taking every game he didn't score so personally. He started to live a little. He went all around Oslo with teammates, having a great time. He didn't stop his training either, he just finally found the importance of balance. And looking at his second half of the season, it's made an impact. Kegger has had a fantastic time, and the Oslo Storm locker room has become extremely close. With this, Oslo has rocketed up the standings, and Kegger has been having a blast. He's been putting up points like it's light work, and it's all because he let himself have a little fun. Oslo has had so much to offer Gregger, he's had a great time going around and seeing the sights with teammates. He and Swinsola, former VHLM rivals, went and saw the Akershus Fortress, and then met up with Grizz Tazzo to have dinner at one of the city's most popular restaurants. That's what a typical night looked like for Kegger. Him, Swinsola, and Tazzo were a common trio, however he's spent time with every player on the team. It was a common message around the group that if they were looking for a crazy night, just hit up Rip Wheeler and you would probably forget what happened in the morning. As of this moment, McKeggegger and the Storm are 4th in the league, 1 point back of a tie for second and 4 points back of first. The way Kegger is preparing for a late season push for first? A mix of training, going to museums, seeing Oslo's natural beauty, hikes, and going to bars and partying. He's really taken advantage of the opportunity to play in Europe and it's showing. 19. 1. I think they can bring a ton! The offense should be humming even more, and now with solidified goaltending we should be able to be an even bigger threat. 2. Us without a doubt! 3. I attended to watch and I would say it was pretty entertaining. I'd never really seen Wheels in his element like that and it just made certain things about his personality make a lot of sense. 4. Ah getting the puck in deep, get pucks on net. For real though I think smart play, hounding the puck and not giving the opponent space to play, and just staying consistent. 5. I think he definitely should be, he's such an organized manager who cares about every team he sits in the office of. That's a guy who deserves a big job. 6. Now that my soul has been crushed with the Bruins loss, I'm rooting for the winner of the Stars vs Kraken series. The only team in the east I feel okay rooting for is Jersey, so there's my picks.
  20. I think this counts as retro, a graphic of my first player when he was in the VHLM. Backstory: Donny Carter was having a great season on the struggling Houston Bulls, and was then traded in a blockbuster with two others to the Philadelphia Reapers. In his 3rd game with Philly, his first against his former team, he scored his first goal as a Reaper, resulting in this image. The Reapers won that game 8-0, and Donny had another goal later in the game.
  21. 1. Honestly we just gotta keep playing like we have. The start of the season is the reason we aren't higher, if we just keep rolling then we should be able to catch up. 2. It's all about balance. At the start of the year we weren't scoring a ton but we weren't letting in a lot of goals. Now it's the opposite. Just gotta find the inbetween. 3. As part of the duo I just have to say lots of practice, we've had some great extra practices and hang out outside of the rink. Both of us have also improved a lot skill wise, and growing together is just helping us to click on the scoresheet. 4. Maybe something with storm clouds or lightning bolts. Something that will represent the Storm more than just a head. 5. I think it's Geneva's season to lose. They've got a solid team. Rome's also got potential. 6. If he fell to the Blue Jackets that would be wild. I feel like the Ducks are going to get the first overall pick though, they've got the best odds.
  22. 1. Just gotta get the lines flowing, get some consistent wins, maybe go on a little streak and get some confidence back. 2. Scoring all around the lineup, we've got fantastic depth and almost the entire team is contributing. 3. Even though we have good depth scoring, we've had a lot of games that we lose because we just can't score. 4. I think it's been good to have contributions all over the lineup, however it would be nice to have someone emerge as a superstar. We kind of look like the Seattle Kraken in the NHL. We have 9 players with 16+ points, the next best teams have 7. What we don't have that those teams do are players that are really taking off and leading in scoring. 5. I can't say anything because I am the biggest jinx in the world and don't want to ruin it for my team. 6. Matty Beniers easy, it's his trophy to lose.
  23. Game Recaps Game 209: LAS vs DCD Los Angeles really came out firing in this game, outshooting the Dragons 12 to 4 in the first, and even though both teams didn't score, you had the feeling the Stars were in control. That came true in the low shooting second period, only 11 shots between the two teams, however the Stars were able to capitalize on one of their 5 shots and take the lead. They come out firing again in the 3rd, but Bubbles Utonium stands on their head and allows DC a chance to equalize. Jason Coiner finally finds the net for the Dragons a little through the third, and the game is all tied up. Overtime doesn't yield a winner, so the game goes to the shootout, where Utonium continues to be a wall and backstop DC to a victory. Game 216: LAS vs NYA Another high flying game, this time for both teams. By the end of the game, both teams had over 30 shots. In the first, Phoebe Bridgers broke the scoreless tie about halfway through the first. While the Stars don't respond right away, Sunglasses Joyo puts home a short handed goal with under a minute and a half remaining in the first, a big momentum shift. However New York responded on the power play early in the middle frame, making the game 2-1. Then devastating pressure from LA helps Robert Wilk put a shot home and tie the game. The third period did nothing to change the scoreboard, despite the 3 power plays New York got. There was even a penalty that carried through into overtime, however that didn't matter because LA killed the penalty, then only a half a minute later Nezuko ended the game. Los Angeles comes out with a victory.
