  3. @Shindigs nice summary. Just a little correction (I believe). I am Swiss (I.e. from Switzerland) not Swedish (I.e. not from Sweden)... one is a neutral country starting with Sw.... and so is the other...
  4. Swiss Central Gazzette The Janser brothers played two games each in the meantime. We also asked them for a statement to the ongoing season so far. Marcel's 21st played against the Marauders who are on a downward spiral. The final score was 3-2 for the Canadian team. Halifax was first on the scoreboard with three consecutive goals in the second period. Leclerc @PoignardLeclerc11(Crumb, Ingram), Staal @LumberChuck (Ingram, Crumb) and Ingram @NatIng14 (Leclerc, Crumb) were responsible for the score of 3-0 into the second intermission. The Marauders pulled two goals back in power play, but with only one and a half minutes left in the game, it was a day late and a dollar short. The three stars were Ingram (1g/2a), Leclerc (1g/1a) and Crumb (0g/3a). Zininger @ScoreAGoalBudEh (.920) was clearly better between the pipes than McGavin (.880). Halifax' power play left a lot to be desired (0/7) and so did the box play (4/6). Marcel was recorded with 0g, 0a and +0 The second VHLM match we are reporting on is Halifax vs Saskatoon which ended in a close 3-2 defeated for the Nova Scotian franchise. This time the tables were turned and Saskatoon scored the first three goals of the match. Warrior @KnightRiley buried the puck after going one-on-one with Saskatoons tendy after AL dug out the puck in the crease and tried to shoot it out of the zone (the 21st were just killing a penalty); to his utter horror, he hit his fellow D-man, who reacted quickly and dished the puck to his winger for said rush on the Wild goal. The second goal was scored by AL @bigAL(Hagel, Rain) in the power play. Even though this happened before the second intermission, Halifax did not manage to draw the game and had to suffer a bitter defeat. AL (1g/1a), McTavish @Blakemac22 (1g/0a) and Simeoni @Alesime (0g/2a) were named the three stars of the game. This time Zininger (.833) found his master in Saucey @ToooSaucey(.913), Saskatoon's back-up. Halifax' power play was meh (1/7) and the penalty kill was okay-ish (4/5). Marcel logged 0g, 1a and +0 Daniel's Storm played the Gladiators in the first match and lost 5-1. The only goal for the Oslo team was scored by newly signed Pandora @PandaBearD25(Nezuko, Janser) in power play. The three stars were Mashford @Mashy (2g/1a), Dixon @Rjdixon01 (2g/0a) and Spinelli @Lspinelli (38 saves). Spinelli (.974) had the upperhand over Fletcher @DragonFire420 (.868) this night. Oslo's special teams were a mixed bag with a good power play (1/3) and a horrific penalty kill (3/5). Daniel had 0g, 1a, -3 and 8 hits to his name In the second game the Storm faced off with the Cologne Express, winning 6-2. The Storm started with five consecutive power play goals in the first and second period. The goals were scored by Upton @OscarTheSwagDude (Janser, Nezuko) , Knale @HatrickRoy (Nezuko, Sprout), Puhovs @VOID Stiles (Sprout, Knale), Upton (Janser, Pandora) and Knale (Puhovs, Janser) followed by an even strength goal in direct continuation by The 3rd @Jeffie43 (Pandora, Upton). The three stars were Upton (2g/1a), Knale (2g/1a) and Puhovs (1g/1a). Fletcher (.939) dominated Fleury @Kuba-Fleury (.893) by a country mile. The power play (5/10) was glorious however the penalty kill (2/4) not so much. Daniel was reported with 0g, 3a, +0, 2 PIM (Roughing, no consequence to the score) and 5 hits Our Norwegian correspondent Gretta Hjalmarsdottir got a hold on Daniel after the second match, and asked him for a summary of the first quarter and the outlook to the rest of the season. Daniel: 'Well, I guess you can say that we were off for a rocky start to say the least. This was to be expected with a new team in a new league. And once we started to pick up the odd Free Agent and got a knack on the system, we improved our performance, if not our standing in the league. Do I wish we were higher up? You betcha. We do as a team every night what we can, to make the playoffs and to make our fans proud. Sometimes we fall victim to our own inexperience and sometimes the other team is just better that night. That is hockey. As long as we do not give up and are ready to learn from our misadventures, there will be progress and better results will fall in our laps. I am quite happy with my personal record so far, being on pace for a 32g, 80pts season. But I would happily trade that for a better team record.' Marcel was approached by our man in Canada, Jean-Luc Lieuxperroux for his statement about the Halifax 21st. Marcel: 'Luckily, my former teams whipped the Marauders so thouroughly through the block, that we should be able to make the playoffs. However, we cannot be happy with our performance so far. With so much experience and talent in the roster, we should do better. We have AL, Hagel @jasplunds and me @Morcar80 in the defence who already have a season under our belts and the defensive tools to make an impact. Up front we have Warrior, Leblanc @Horcrux, McMuffin @Ente2997 and Von Strangle @Timmy Turner who would be on the top line in any team in the league. The only position where we do not have a plethora of experience is in the goal tending department, where we have two rookies between the pipes. I am by no means putting the blame for the underwhelming performance on these two young and talented players. It is for us more experienced players to make their job as easy as possible and so far, for the majority of the games, we failed them. We addressed this in the locker room and actions have been taken. It just takes time to implement same.' The Jansers' states as of now: Marcel: 18gp, 2g, 10a, 12pts, -10, 10 PIM, 13 hits, 30sb, 1gwg, 2ppg Daniel: 18gp, 8g, 12a, 20pts, -8, 30 PIM, 60 hits, 13sb, 1gwg, 2ppg https://vhlforum.com/topic/112469-a-tale-of-two-brothers-reboot/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112522-a-tale-of-two-brothers-starting-the-season-proper-for-some/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112557-a-tale-of-two-brothers-marcel-on-fire/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112596-a-tale-of-two-brothers-still-no-games-for-daniel/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112611-vsn-presents-the-top-prospect-of-every-vhl-team/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112724-a-tale-of-two-brothers-vhle-starts-at-last/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112783-a-tale-of-two-brothers-normal-service-resumed/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112831-a-story-of-two-brothers-in-full-swing/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112865-a-tale-of-two-brothers-moving-on/

  6. But then it appears hippocritical to me, to publicly placate the offender and the penalty, but not the actual 'crime' (for the lack of a better word). Just saying.

  8. Swiss Central Gazzette (Marcel's stats/Dan's stats) Daniel had a phase of repause, while Marcel had to soldier on since we last wrote about the Rotkreuz natives. The 21st played the Lynx first. Such game ended in a 7-3 desaster for the Nova Scotians. Ottawa had an early three goal lead and never let go of same for the remainder of the game. Von Strangle @Timmy Turner (Brandini), Von Strangle (Leblanc, Hagel) and McMuffin @Ente2997 (Rockwell, Leblanc) were successful for Halifax. The three stars were Live @Mattylive3k (1g/3a), Vomacka @Wolfe (2g/2a) and Hagstrom @Grosgars (3g/0a). The keepers were at about the same level with Nu @npuBeT (.875) having the edge over Zininger @ScoreAGoalBudEh (.857). Halifax' power play was okay-ish (1/5) but the penalty kill underwhelming (1/2). Marcel had 0g, 0a, -1 and 4sb to his name. The second match was against Mexico City Kings and ended in a 3-0 win. The goals were scored by McMuffin (Leblanc, Janser), Leblanc@Horcrux (McMuffin, McGleis) and Von Strangle (Hagel, AL). Leblanc (1g/1a), McMuffin (1g/1a) and Von Strangle (1g/0a). McGleis had a flawless performance with a 1.000 saving rate and clearly beat Tsezar @comrade cat (.925) who had not a bad game as such. The Halifax' power play was weak (0/4) and the penalty kill impeccable (2/2). Marcel posted 0g, 1a and +2 The stats for the brothers for this season so far are: Marcel: 16gp, 2g, 9a, 11pts, -10, 10 PIM, 11 hits, 28sb, 1gwg, 2ppg Daniel: 16gp, 8g, 8a, 16pts, -5, 28 PIM, 47 hits, 11sb, 1gwg, 2ppg Stay tuned for further updates. https://vhlforum.com/topic/111634-a-tale-of-two-brothers-world-cupdraft-day-part-1/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112123-a-tale-of-two-brothers-vhle-draft/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112469-a-tale-of-two-brothers-reboot/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112522-a-tale-of-two-brothers-starting-the-season-proper-for-some/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112557-a-tale-of-two-brothers-marcel-on-fire/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112596-a-tale-of-two-brothers-still-no-games-for-daniel/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112611-vsn-presents-the-top-prospect-of-every-vhl-team/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112724-a-tale-of-two-brothers-vhle-starts-at-last/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112783-a-tale-of-two-brothers-normal-service-resumed/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112831-a-story-of-two-brothers-in-full-swing/
  9. There is a lot of people with Swiss heritage in NA... so you might well be... Chevrolet for example (yes, THAT Chevrolet) was a Swiss engineer comming from the French speaking part of Switzerland.
  10. I am not judging. We put cheese on almost everything, why you would want to convert crispy fries into soggy mush is beyond me, though. I accept that tastes are different and that I am certainly not the governing body on the matter.
  11. That is a 9.5/10 if I am not mistaken. You are welcome.
  12. No in Canada they put gravy and cheese on top and call it 'Poutine' smh
  13. Swiss Central Gazzette (Marcel's stats/Dan's stats) Our local hockey heroes played two games each in the interim. Please find the respective reports hereunder. Marcel's 21st battled the Reapers in a 2-1 defeat. The only goal for the Nova Scotians was scored by AL @bigAL(Hagel, Von Strangle) in power play for the 1-1 equalizer. The three stars were Notes @O Ghost O(1g/0a) , Jarvinen @Collusion (18 saves) and AL (1g/0a). Jarvinen showed an almost perfect game with a .947 saving rate and outshone Zininger's @ScoreAGoalBudEh .867. The 21st's power play was underwhelming (1/7) but penalty kill was flawless (3/3). Marcel had 0g, 0a, -1 and 2 PIM (Tripping, logically no consequences on the scoreboard) to his name. The second match was against the Bulls and was lost 5-3. The Bulls came out of the lockerroom on fire and scored 5 consecutive goals, before Halifax was able to react. McMuffin @Ente2997(Volchenko) and Von Strangle @Timmy Turner(Hagel, AL) and Janser @Morcar80 (Warrior, McMuffin) scored for the 21st, where Marcel's goal was a textbook example of a point power play goal. The formation circulated the puck around until Marcel saw the light and let loose a big slapper from the blue line and found the back of the net via the crossbar. Charlie @Bigchuck01 (1g/2a), DB III @wcats (2g/1a) and Elsby @Spence King (1g/0a) were named three stars of the match. Des Aves (.893) was clearly better than McGleis @lukechezzwoo. The Halifax' was very good (2/7), their penalty kill (3/5) was not. Marcel logged 1g, 0a, +0 and 2sb Daniel played in four games since last we reported from him. The first game was against Cologne Express and ended 7-5 win. The first period ended with a 1-1 score and Daniel provided the assist to Oslo's goal with a sweet saucer pass. The second period was a roller coaster with the tides of battle ebbing and flooding for the one team or the other with the score for this period alone being 4-3 for the Storm. Knale @HatrickRoy(Janser, Sprout), Doe (Janser), Sprout @Liberty_Cabbage (Nezuko, Puhovs) and Toon @Alexander Ewing (Nezuko, Fletcher) were succesful for the Norse. Early in the third, Cologne equalized. This was when Daniel decided to step up to the plate. With less than five minutes left in the game, he deflected Knale's shot from the point (Toon received the puck from Puhovs) for the game winner. Three and a half minutes later he delivered the coup de grace on a deserted crease when Nezuko won the puck, passed it to Toon who in turn one-touched it to the quick and nimble Swiss. This must have been one of the older Janser's better if not the best game yet. Rightfully, he was declared man of the match with two goals and 3 assists, alongside with Pete @PistolP (2g/1a) and Ranogajec @ColeMrtz (1g/3a). Fletcher @DragonFire420 (.902) dominated Protagonist @Jericho (.800) clearly and showed who is boss. The Storm's power play was magnificent (4/5) whereas the penalty kill (5/8) could have lost them the game, were it not for Daniel's last minute brace of goals. Daniel recorded 2g, 3a, +3, 2 hits and 2sb The second encounter was the direct rematch which was lost 5-4 after a heroic battle going into the shoot out lottery. The first period ended in a one-a-side draw. Puhovs @VOID Stiles (Sprout) scored in power play for the Storm. The second period was also a 1-1 draw. This time Knale (Puhovs, Sprout) converted the one man advantage. The third period started and ended with an Oslo goal interrupted by two back to back goals by Cologne. Puhovs (Sprout) found the back of the net in power play and Doe (Janser) succeeded at 5vs5. As the sudden death did not bring a decision, it was down to penalty shots to find a winner. Unfortunately, Daniel's attempt missed its mark and the Express came out of this game, which did not deserve a loser, victorious. The three stars were Pete (0g/3a), Puhovs (2g/1a) and Karjalainen @UnkemptCL4PTP (1g/1a). The goalkeeper feud was won by Fletcher (.922) who teabagged Protagonist (.862) even though the former almost faced double the shots of the latter (51 vs 29). The Storm's power play was irresistable (3/5) and their penalty kill still okay-ish (4/5). Daniel was reported with 0g, 1a, 0, 2 PIM (Hooking, no goal scored in the ensuing power play), 4 hits, 2sb and 33:06 TOI. The third game was against Istanbul and was lost 1-2. The only goal for the Norse was scored by Puhovs (Knale, Sprout). The three stars of the match were Li @Ryan Li (1g/1a), Kloxified @Kloxified(28 saves) and Fletcher (46 saves). Not for nothing were the two netminders nominated for the three stars as both Fletcher (.958) as well as Kloxified (.966) have very impressive saving rates to show for their herculean efforts. Oslo's power play was disappointing (0/4) while their penalty kill was flawless (4/4). Daniel achieved 0g, 0a, -1, 2 PIM (Slashing, no effects on the score), 3 hits, 2sb and 29:44 TOI The forth and final game was against the Red Wolves again with a 4-0 loss. The three stars were Kloxified (shutout), Bonaparte (1g/0a)@CptSquall and Waffles @Edustava (1g/0a). Kloxified had obviously a 1.000 saving rate against Fletcher's .927 which is still respectable. Oslo's penalty kill was rather on the weak side (5/7) and power play was inefficient (0/4) and were even scored against. Daniel had 0g, 0a, +0, 10 PIM (Hooking, Roughing (Double Minor), High Sticking and Tripping, no goals allowed in these box plays) and 2 hits. The stats for the brothers so far are: Marcel: 14gp, 2g, 8a, 10pts, -11, 10 PIM, 11 hits, 24sb, 1gwg, 2ppg Daniel: 16gp, 8g, 8a, 16pts, -5, 28 PIM, 47 hits, 11sb, 1gwg, 2ppg We will keep you updated on the brother's adventures in the big leagues. https://vhlforum.com/topic/111631-s81-signing-daniel-janser-cgy/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/111634-a-tale-of-two-brothers-world-cupdraft-day-part-1/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112123-a-tale-of-two-brothers-vhle-draft/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112469-a-tale-of-two-brothers-reboot/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112522-a-tale-of-two-brothers-starting-the-season-proper-for-some/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112557-a-tale-of-two-brothers-marcel-on-fire/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112596-a-tale-of-two-brothers-still-no-games-for-daniel/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112611-vsn-presents-the-top-prospect-of-every-vhl-team/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112724-a-tale-of-two-brothers-vhle-starts-at-last/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112783-a-tale-of-two-brothers-normal-service-resumed/
  14. Does it count as speed run, if I only claim two of my articles I have written during the week? If so, I can do it under 10 minutes...
  15. This was on purpose. Since people from across the pond notoriously have difficulties to keep our two nations apart. I just did not want to add any source of confusion.
  16. Completely unbiased vote: Mississauge (Philly second) Oslo Calgary (seriously I like all of them and it is difficult to pick one, so I went with those who picked me)
  17. Swiss Central Gazzette (Marcel's stats/Dan's stats) Since last we reported from our intrepid hockey heroes, each of the Jansers has played in two matches. Please find a summary of same below. Marcel's 21st played first against his former team the Reapers and could steal a 3-2 win. Zero a Leclerc @PoignardLeclerc11was the first on the score board assisted by Staal and Crumb. It was his first goal in the VHLM. Less than four minutes later, Hagel @jasplunds(AL, Von Strangle) scored on the power play to make it 2-0. The Reapers came back with the only goal scored in the second and drew at 2:45 minutes into the third. Only 3 minutes later Marcel @Morcar80 (Warrior, Volchenko) played party crasher when he scored with a slapshot from the blue line his first goal of the season in power play for the final score of 3-2. The three stars went to Jp @WhiskyJack (1g/1a), Salo @Infernal(0g/2a) and Leclerc (1g/0a). McGleis @lukechezzwoo(.900) had ChickenLittle's @LiningPolecat number (.893). Halifax' power play was good (2/7) and their penalty kill was also up to an acceptable standard (4/5). Marcel was noted with 1g, 0a, -1 and 22:41 TOI (second of his team) The second match was against Vegas and went 5-4 to the Nevadan team. Volchenko @Austin2997 (McMuffin, Warrior) was on the board first, with a power play goal. The Aces drew less than two minutes later. However, with two back to back goals, scored by Leclerc (Staal, Crumb) and Leblanc @Horcrux(Janser), the 21st went into the first intermission with a 3-1 lead. Leblanc profited from Marcel copying his elder brother's trade mark move: a faked shot and followed by a tape-to-tape dish for the onrushing Leblanc who had a wide open net. Unfortunately, after the first period the Nova Scotian seemed to have gone into hibernation, as the Aces scored three consecutive goals for a 4-3 into to the third. Leblanc (Janser, McMuffin) drew the game when she reacted first on Marcel's rebound to bury the puck in the net. The Vegas team scored the last goal of the match two and a half minutes before the final horn and therefore denied the 21st an OT. Both tendies had not their best games and McGleis (.821) outperformed Clark @ClarkClanT(.789). The three stars of the match were Twist @Patty(1g/2a), Leblanc (2g/0a) and Bernier @Julien_Bernier(1g/1a). The special teams did an outstanding job by not allowing a goal against in the penalty kill (3/3) and scoring 1/3 on the power play. Marcel had 0g, 2a, +1 and 2sb to his name. Daniel's Storm played their first game against Bratislava and lost 5-3. The match was even for forty minutes, unfortunately a hockey games lasts sixty. The Watchmen took a 2-0 lead until 15:35 minutes into the first. But the Storm could tie the game before the intermission. In what some may see as supernatural connection between the brothers, Daniel, after being fed the puck by Puhovs used the fake-shot trick as well to set up Sprout @Liberty_Cabbage for the first Oslo goal in the game. Knale @HatrickRoy(Sprout, Puhovs) evened the score with 1:47 minutes left on the clock. In the second period it was Puhovs @VOID Stiles(Knale) who scored for the Norse and equalized the score to 3-3 again. As already hinted, the Slovaks scored to goals in the third and took the win home. Three stars were Towbaker @Domino(1g/2a), Puhovs (1g/2a) and Knale (1g/1a). Fletcher @DragonFire420(.902) had a slightly better night than Chiester IX @Donno100(.900). Oslo's special teams were reduced to penalty killing only (6/6) as no player of Bratislava was sent to the sin bin. Daniel logged 0g, 1a, +2 and 2 PIM (Tripping, obviously did not lead to a goal) The second match was against defending champion Vasteras and ended in a 3-2 win. Vasteras scored late in the first for a 1-0 lead. Nezuko @tfong(Toon) equalized the score, but eight minutes later, the Eagles reinstated their one goal lead. Oslo's Defender with the number 5 (Nezuko, Toon) scored in power play to even the score again before the second intermission. Nezuko (Defender #5) scored the final goal in the third to win the game. The three stars were Nezuko (2g/1a), Toon @Alexander Ewing(0g/2a) and Defender #5 (1g/1a). Fletcher (.950) hugely outperformed Byrne @teknonym (.870) and kept his colours with his 38 saves in the game for wide stretches of the match. Oslo's special teams were on a good level with 6/7 for the penalty killing unit and 1/5 for the production line. Daniel recorded 0g, 0a, +0, 5 hits and 26:31 TOI (highest of his team) The Calgary Wrangler's, which drafted both Jansers (they must be mad to combine so much badassery in one team), had a minor set back when they lost in OT against LA, but recovered quickly when the beat Toronto in regulation time. The stats for the Jansers are: Marcel: 12gp, 1g, 8a, 9pts, -10, 8 PIM, 10 hits, 22sb, 1gwg, 1ppg Daniel: 14gp, 8g, 8a, 16pts, -4, 16 PIM, 42 hits, 9sb, 1gwg, 2ppg (we will follow up with the two missing games in our next issue) Stay tuned for further updates, and do not forget to check out our/related articles below. https://vhlforum.com/topic/111631-s81-signing-daniel-janser-cgy/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/111634-a-tale-of-two-brothers-world-cupdraft-day-part-1/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112123-a-tale-of-two-brothers-vhle-draft/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112469-a-tale-of-two-brothers-reboot/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112522-a-tale-of-two-brothers-starting-the-season-proper-for-some/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112557-a-tale-of-two-brothers-marcel-on-fire/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112596-a-tale-of-two-brothers-still-no-games-for-daniel/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112611-vsn-presents-the-top-prospect-of-every-vhl-team/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112724-a-tale-of-two-brothers-vhle-starts-at-last/
  18. No way Imma watch this... have fun though
  19. Swiss Central Gazzette (stats for Dan/stats for Marcel) The big news first: The VHLE has finally overcome the Tanzanian Killer Ant Flu and is out of quarantine protocol. However, due to the already tight schedule due to the WoCH and WJC after the playoffs, the teams had to play ten games in a very short amount of time. Due to this circumstances, we will refrain from our usual detailed reports and limit the VHLE games to a quick summary only. Usual service will be resumed as soon as the league rights itself out. We ask for your understanding and apologize for the inconvenience or disappointment this may cause you. Rest assured it was completely out of our control. The Storm had a rocky start to say the least and lost all but one of the ten games played. Please find the games listed as follows: IST 4 - OSL 3; 0g, 0a, -1, 5 hits, 2sb, 28:03 TOI (highest of the team) for Janser OSL4 - VAS 5; 0g, 1a, -1, 3 hits, 1 sb, 27:41 TOI (highest of the team) for Janser VAS 5 - OSL 4 (SO); 0g, 0a, -2, 2 PIM (Tripping, lead to the equalizer), 2 hits, 30:26 TOI (second of the team) for Janser OSL 1 - COL 3; 0g, 0a, -1, 2 PIM (Roughing), 3 hits, 1sb, 24:40 TOI (second of the team) for Janser OSL 0 - STO 3; 0g, 0a, -2, 2 hits, 23:58 TOI (highest of the team) for Janser BRA 5 - OSL 2; 0g, 0a, -2, 2 PIM (Hooking), 4 hits, 24:59 TOI (second of the team) for Janser OSL 8 - STO 7 (SO); 2g, 0a, +2, 4 hits, 31:17 TOI (highest of the team), 2nd star for Janser OSL 3 - COL 5; 1g, 2a, -1, 2 PIM (High Sticking, lead to a goal), 2 hits, 24:36 TOI, (second of the team) for Janser STO 6 - OSL 3; 2g, 0a, +0, 2 PIM (Roughing), 2 hits, 24:08 TOI (fourth of the team) GEN 6 - OSL 2; 1g, 0a, -1, 2 PIM (High Sticking, lead to a goal), 2 hits, 27:25 TOI (second of the team) for Janser Marcel @Morcar80 was not as busy as his older brother, but that does not mean he was idle. The 21st had a rematch against Ottawa and lost thouroughly with 7-1. Weenuk @KnightRiley(AL, McMuffin) scored the only goal for Halifax for the temporary 1-1 equalizer. The three stars were Torq @Steve(1g/3a), Laperriere @KaleebtheMighty(1g/2a) and Dvorak @solas(2g/0a). The goaltenders McGleis @lukechezzwoo (.929) and Wumbo @Fire Vigneault (.938) fought an epic battle. Starting goaltender for Halifax Martello @Deathblooms had a very dark evening and allowed 5 goals on 15 shots and was relieved 5minutes into the second. Halifax special teams were not up to the task either, as PP (0/5, one goal against!) as well as PK (6/10) was abysmal. Marcel recorded 0g, 0a, -1, 2 PIM (Hooking, lead to a goal), 3 sb, 26:02 TOI (most of the team) Against the same opponent the Nova Scotians achieved the same result, a 7-1 defeat in their second match. AL @bigAL(Staal, McMuffin) scored the sole goal shorthanded. The three stars were Hagstrom @Grosgars (1g/3a), Vomacka @Wolfe (1g/2a) and Live @Mattylive3k (1g/2a). In an effort to top Martello's record of the last match McGleis allowed five goals on 13 shots within 11:11 and asked to be relieved. His backup showed a respectable .920 performance whereas Wumbo had a .938 saving rate. We heard rumours after the game that Martello's contract was terminated with immediate effect. Even though the 21st scored a SHG, their box play was equally bad as last time with 5/8 and power play (0/10) was zilch again. Marcel had 0g, 0a, -2, 2sb and 26:17 minutes on ice (most of his team) to his name In summary the stats of the brothers sofar: Marcel: 10gp, 0g, 6a, 6pts, -10, 8 PIM, 9 hits, 19sb Daniel: 10gp, 6g, 3a, 9pts, -9, 12 PIM, 29 hits, 4sb, 1PPG It is interesting to note, that even though Nezuko @tfonghas double of Daniel's goal, the latter performs better on even strength (4g vs 5g). As to the Wranglers, the Jansers' team in the VHL, they truck on and are now on the top of their Conference with six consecutive wins. Stay tuned for further updates. https://vhlforum.com/topic/111631-s81-signing-daniel-janser-cgy/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/111634-a-tale-of-two-brothers-world-cupdraft-day-part-1/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112123-a-tale-of-two-brothers-vhle-draft/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112469-a-tale-of-two-brothers-reboot/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112522-a-tale-of-two-brothers-starting-the-season-proper-for-some/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112557-a-tale-of-two-brothers-marcel-on-fire/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112596-a-tale-of-two-brothers-still-no-games-for-daniel/ https://vhlforum.com/topic/112611-vsn-presents-the-top-prospect-of-every-vhl-team/
  20. Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated. At the time I wrote the article we kind of played 6 games, but since something went awry with the free agents of Oslo and Geneva, these games were decided to be resimmed. It apparently took some time to get it fixed and now we are 10 games into the season...
  21. 1. very boring: it is my RL name 2. Claude Lemieux 3. Strength maybe? 4. EV Zug 5. No, there is no team I would not play for. Having said that, I really like the Wranglers' locker room and see no need to change from the club who drafted me.
  22. 1. My impending arrival next season let all the others fear for their roster space and that is their way to tell the coach/GM 'Don't sack me. See, I am productive/valuable to the team, pick an other one.' 2. Nasherov, Johnson and Eagles 3. 6g, 3a in ten games for a two way forward is ok in my book, however the team cannot win games, so I will have to do better. 4. I sucked and probably will again (I did not pick enough Wranglers apparently) 5. I could tell but then I would have to kill you. 6. We can do a lot to eliminate some RNJesus, and I do believe that everything you did will come back at you for better or worse.
  23. So CGY gets: RW Gustislav Nasherov, (715 TPE) LW Daniel Janser (281 TPE) D Ragnar Hagstrom (202 TPE) HSK gets: RW Alex Johnston (786 TPE) D Wattson Power (278 TPE) D Janet Snakehole (199 TPE) Remarkable that there are two Swiss players involved (Daniel Janser and Janet Snakehole).
