  1. 1. We have had a slow start to the season, what needs to change for us to start winning games on a more consistent basis? Let’s put more pucks in the net. 2. What team or player do you think has had the most surprising start to the season? HC Davos. It looked like we were going to be winning 60 games with the moves our GM made during the off season, but somehow the system is messing with our wins. The referees dont know what they are doing. 3. Currently we are only 2 points out of the playoffs, of the 6 teams in the race which team do you think misses the playoffs at the end of the season? Any team except HC Davos 4. What do you think the VHL could do to make members more engaged in the offseason? Free beer? Not sure what can be done as there are things going on all the time. I like the calendar thing. 5. Tampa Bay traded Ryan McDonagh (that is probably spelt wrong) is this the end of an era for Tampa? Yes, but I’m not sure its because of the trade. They looked tired and couldnt stand the kitchen. 6. Colorado is the 2022 Stanley Cup Champions, what was the best moment/storyline of their run? Kadri being aggressive
  2. Press Conference Week ending 07/10/22 (Answer Questions for 2 Capped TPE!) 1. After 10 games we are tied with the Houston Bulls, but we are ahead in the goal differential. Which Kings player do you think is having the biggest impact with our wins? 2. Our goalies are off to a great start. Henry Tucker Jr and Jeremy Swayman have incredible stats thus far. How confident are you that we will continue to win with these two goalies in front of the net? 3. What is your take on Scottie House’s latest graphic posted in the locker room and how does your graphics ability compare to Scottie? 4. Our discord channel is one of the more active channels and you are to be credited with the success. How much do you enjoy being involved with the team on discord? 5. Which team do you consider to be the biggest rival of the Kings and how badly are you willing to beat them during the season? 6. How many push ups can you do in a minute?
  3. Podcast Review As usual, your podcasts are informative and you have no problem talking on point and with smooth transitions on your discussion. The draft discussion was interesting and your play by play about your trade to grab the number 2 spot along with the discussion with the Sam about being selected brings an interesting behind the scenes look. The detail you went into about the draft was valuable as far as learning a strategy you used to select your players and it opened my eyes about the overall experience with the VHL. The activity in discord is important to the GM’s and you welcome active members. The last thing I got out of your podcast that I found useful was that the trend is selecting defense right and dwindling the pool of valuable defenders but giving you an opportunity to select a good forward. Overall, have nothing to comment on that would give you something other than the highest score. Well done! Score 10/10
  4. Graphics Review The creativity of this graphic is quite impressive. I’m sure its a simple addition for you, but I thought it was well done. I like the colors and the Gaussian blur, if thats what you used. The blur anyway! The Wrangler logo looks like its sewn on and i even zoomed in to see how it was layered, finding no visible detractors. What I like the most is that the two photos, although the same, have some different characteristics if you really pay attention to it. The title is coordinated with the song. If you chose it, good choice!! Score 10/10

  6. Press Conference Week ending 07/03/22 (Answer Questions for 2 Capped TPE!) Were you happy that Colorado Avalanche won the Stanley Cup, and how much money did you win or lose on bets? 2. The season starts this week, is your player ready to compete and how do you think the Kings will do early on? 3. Your GM has spent several hours preparing the team for an optimized performance. Do you have any suggestions for him? 4. Summer has officially started. What vacation plans do you have this summer? 5. How many hours a week do you estimate you are involved in gaming, and which device is most of your gaming attention on? 6. What is your favorite ice cream flavor and what toppings do you add?
  7. D - Bo Johannsen F - Daniel Janser @Shindigs
  8. F - Vasile Lamb F - Zeedayno Chara @Shindigs
  9. Its time to step up into the big league yet I still have too many questions. No, not all the questions I ask Shindigs, or the question I will soon be asking the Donation Updater because I screwed that claim up. The questions I have are not really for anyone to answer but more decision making. Its all about adding TPE. In order for me to have bragging rights every time Jake Thunder goes toe-to-toe with Brian Payne, I’m going to have to add to Grit. Only problem is by adding to Grit, it just delays adding to more important traits, not to mention the likelihood of getting more penalties and sitting in the sin bin. However, there is a time when one must stand up for his teammate, and I better be ready, especially as Payne recently sent me a text bragging how he won a fight against my teammate. I finally got Defense up to where I as hoping so now I can work on Skating, Passing, Puck Handling, and Scoring. Grit is going to have to wait, which means I’m going to have to take a chance on Payne throwing the left hook, but in the meantime, every chance I get will be out hitting, out passing, and out scoring him. Game On!!
  10. 1. HOOOWEEEE A LOT OF TRADES. A lot of huge trades have been made over the past week, what do you feel about this "TRADE THE PICKS, TRUST THE PROCESS" mentality? I had all the confidence in the world with you and Alex to make the right decisions. I’m just glad I got to stay on the team. 2. The draft is over! How well did we do? Are you excited for the future of this team? You dont know how excited I am for this team. I cant wait for the season to start and for us to start winning. 3. We became a bottom dwelling team to a potential contender in the span of a week. How does this affect the culture of the team? In what ways has it changed/not changed?? It was all in the planning. Sometimes you have to sacrifice. Nothing has changed as far as the winning attitude. 4. How's your summer? Are there any plans for trips/vacations?? For me it's nothing but the sun torching the earth with high temps. The sun has finally come out and there might actually be heat. I have a ton of yard work to do. Planning on camping as much as we can. 5. Is there a song that describes you the best? Why? If not, then what are some of your favorite songs to listen to? Favorite song of all time is Freebird. 6. What toppings do you put on a hot dog? That depends. I go in cycles of just ketchup. Then maybe a while ketchup and mustard. Then a while with ketchup and relish. Lately its been just relish. But it has to be Cains.

  12. Press Conference Week ending 6/26/22 (Answer Questions for 2 Capped TPE!) 1. What was your favorite part of the draft process and how do you feel about being picked by Mexico City? 2. What type of player are you planning on building with TPE during this season? 3. How many seasons do you plan on being in the VHLM and what would keep you from moving up? 4. What is your favorite sport that you played, are playing, or wish you were good enough to play, and why? 5. What is the best hockey movie and why? 6. What are your favorite pizza toppings and should pineapple ever be put on a pizza?
  13. Hope you toughen up Brian Payne!! Gonna be fun to brawl for bragging rights.
  14. Lawn DAD!!! Way to go! Keep up the good work.
  15. It was a fun season even though we didnt get to the playoffs. Thanks for a great time. Good luck everyone.
  16. This is the result of a scrambling mind trying to get the TPE completed so he can relax the rest of the week and just read articles and listen to podcasts. So here goes. First thing is Juan Cesan is reaching out for funding to pay off his creditors. No worries Juan. If you dont have enough to pay off your creditors, I’ve watched enough crime movies that I’m sure we can come up with something to prolong your demise to your creditors. And if that doesn’t work, Atlantic City is the place to go. Especially since you own the team there. Next, The Jersey City Cows have got to succeed in the ProAM. Juan Cesan’s first time as a GM, we owe it to him. And even though JC asked for some expert advice, he still chose a team who’s names included a “J” and if not they had to change their name to be on the roster. That in itself is a pure display of good sportsmanship. Third, Shindigs deserves all the awards he can get having to deal with his team Captain rebutting earning TPE each week and has persuaded JC to actually contribute to the VHL world of articles for some extra TPE that doesnt include welfare. Shindigs’ patience and always positive attitude reflects his leadership when dealing with the SCBBE (Sir Captain Best Bot Ever) of the Las Vegas Aces. Its a never ending battle for the Champion GM, but would he hold that title without Juan Cesan?
  17. Graphics Review. Every graphics review I do, i find that I’m looking at graphics by designers who have a buttload more talent than i will ever have. There is absolutely nothing I have to contribute to any designer so all I can do is comment on how cool the graphic is. The color choices are phenomenal. The shade of blue for the background blends with the player and fits into the graphic just right. The torn look is really good and as I look at it, the design fits perfectly with the title. Its as if you’re showing your dismal outlook if Pearce leaves the team. The message is clear. You want Pearce to say. This play on the title and the design of the graphic makes it all perfect. Your sense of humor is entertaining. How could Pearce leave the team with this desperate graphic. The only other thing you could do would be to rent a plane and fly over Pearce’s house with a sign behind it begging for Pearce to stay! Score 10/10
  18. 1. A BIG trade was announced yesterday. We acquired Vinny Detroit and Zeedayno Chara in exchange for a good amount of draft capital. How do you feel about this trade? How does this shape our team moving forward? I’m in awe. How did we get such studs? I hope to get some ice time with these two. Davos all the way baby. 2. The draft lottery results have given us the 2nd and 5th overall picks in this season's draft! Which player from this draft class would be a good fit for the team? I have no clue, but that doesnt matter because I have 100% confidence in Alex and Jiggly getting us top players. 3. The offseason always comes with changes in the roster. With that in mind, to those new players to the team? How do you adjust to coming into a different LR? If you've been in the roster for a while now, how does it feel to see new faces come in to the organization? I gotta say it feels good to finally belong! I’m really looking forward to the future with Davos. 4. What was your graduation (middle school, high school, university, etc.) like? Any notable stories from that event? Well, I’m only gonna write this because I’m sure the statute of limitations is over. I played golf on my HS graduation day and indulged in some intoxicants on the golf course and played some polo with the golf cart as the horse. Somehow the horse didnt stop at the pond and decided to go in for a drink. I managed to save the clubs but lost a few things, including the horse. Other than that, it was pretty non eventful. And college graduation was a complete bore. 5. What's your favorite video game franchise? I personally love the Persona franchise. Franchise? EA Sports a franchise? If it is that’s my choice. 6. Wanna try some water flavored coffee? Absolutely. I’m game.
  19. This week I planned on another article of shit talking on Scurvy, aka. Brian Payne and getting under his skin so he would retaliate because he has such a great sense of humor and talent coming up with terrific stories to read. The only problem was that I watched a hockey documentary and decided to share my take on the movie. I didnt intend to watch a documentary, but while searching for Youngblood on Apple TV, because my wife deleted the only copy I had left on the DVR, and I was in the mood to laugh about Miss McGill. I found this other show and decided to watch it. As I watched it, I got a new appreciation of my neighbors to the north, to hockey in general, and more importantly, to the superstars who are of Ukrainian decent. This may be a stupid article because you all have seen the movie and/or know all about the players I’m about to write on, but in the end how many people really read my crap! Besides, its for the TPE, especially since after two seasons, Jake Thunder is finally going to go toe to toe with Brian Payne! Before I begin, I have to tell you this all came from the movie, Uke: The Untold Story of Hockey Legends. Growing up in the Northeast, hockey was popular but not like in Canada. Personally, I couldn’t afford it so my attention was on other sports, except watching the Bruins on television. All you folks in Canada, hockey seems to be a way of life in the winter. I envy you. Orest Kindrachuk, Stanley Cup winner for the Philadelphia Flyers, in 1974 and 1975, grew up playing hockey in Saskatoon and identified the area with a strong Ukrainian - Canadian lineage. His grandfather John, immigrated from Ukraine to Canada and traveled 2000 miles to get to Saskatchewan and begin a new life. Jeff Chychrun, Stanley Cup winner of 1992 with the Pittsburgh Penguins, tells that of the hundreds of thousands of families in Canada, the Ukrainian people make up only a small portion. His father, John, still plays hockey in an over 80 league. And of course there is Jakob Chychrun playing for the Coyotes, but he wasnt born in Canada. In the 1960’s, Eric Nesterenko, was a hockey legend. A 1961 Stanley Cub winner with the Chicago Blackhawks, Nesterenko was known for his speed on the ice. His father, Yakif, was in the Ukraine revolution in the early 1900’s. If you think Ukraine has it tough now, think about how they were starved a 100 years ago in the red famine. Eric Nesterenko has only recently looked into the suffering of the generations before him. Another Ukrainian fighter was Walter Bossy, who fought for the Ukrainian culture and language in Canada is the grandfather to the famous New York Islander, Mike Bossy. Mike Bossy won the Stanley Cup four times and also holds the record of scoring 50 goals a season for nine straight seasons. In 1983, Wayne Gretzky played against Bossy in the Stanley Cup, only to be beaten. The Edmonton Oilers came back the next year and beat the Islanders for the trophy. Wayne Gretzky, is the grandson of a Ukrainian, who through a variety of translation changes ended with the name Anthony Gretzky. Anthony’s son Walter, is Wayne’s father. Everyone knows Wayne Gretzky, even me! He is known as The Great One. What I didn’t know was how involved Walter was with the hockey community in Canada. The Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre in Brantford, would be a place I wouldn’t mind visiting sometime. Hopefully there is someone on this forum who reads this has been there and can respond to this article! Before moving on from Gretzky, I’m going to throw out a stat on Gretzky. He scored 2857 points in the NHL. This is a record that is astonishing considering that if you only count his assists and not his goals, he still holds the most points. Scotty Campbell would give Gretzky a run for his money if Gretzky played in the VHL. My favorite Ukrainian player is Ken Daneyko, the enforcer for the New Jersey Devils. He won the Stanley Cup three times with the Devils and played against Gretzky. He also played against my Boston Bruins and had his share of fights over the years. Daneyko is one of the biggest legends of the Devils and on Ukrainian night at The Rock, and dutifully acts as an announcer that night. Other Ukrainian players include Bruce Driver, and Eddy Shack. Old timer Shack still has a sense of humor and reflects on a game winner for the Maple Leafs. “Clear the track, here comes Shack” a popular slogan for the star. He made $15,000 back then and got another $2000 for winning the cup. He won the Stanley Cup four times. Another Ukrainian cup winner was Terry Sawchuk, star goalie. I have to complain about Sawchuk because he was traded to the Bruins and didn’t like the move so eventually was traded back to the Red Wings. I could have been a Sawchuk fan! But, I do appreciate Sawchuk, as he was a stud. As a goalie, he took a beating and refused to wear a goalie mask for years. His body was beat after games and the punishment he received from star shooters was incredible. For all you goalies, I recommend a check up with the psychiatrist. You’re nuts! There are several other Ukrainian hockey stars in the video, but I’ve already exceeded my word count to earn the 6 TPE, and by now no one is reading this anyway so I’m going to end the article. I do recommend all who dont know much about the impact the “Ukes” have on hockey to look for this video and watch it. It has given me an appreciation for hockey, Canada, and the VHL, for if I wasn’t in this league, I would never have watched this video and would probably have just turned on Goon, since I couldn’t find Youngblood.
  20. Thanks for the high marks. Hoping me and Siyan make a big impact for Davos for a long time.
  21. Never been to Saskatoon but for beer, hmmmm. Enjoy the mountains.
  22. Week Ending June 12th, 2022 1. Moscow has made the finals for the 4th straight season, will they finally win a cup? I hope not. I didn’t pick them to win it and need the tpe. 2. What are you most looking forward to this offseason? getting into the big leagues and the excitement of the season to start 3. Davos prospect Jake Thunder tore up the VHLE this season, what do you think are the chances that they win some awards this offseason? I got lucky by playing so many minutes. If you factor that in I think others deserve it. Just want to contribute to winning games and would rather dominate without any accolades. 4. Have you been following the lottery tournament at all? If yes, what do you think of Davos's performance? no. Only to what I read on discord. 5. Colorado swept Edmonton in the western conference finals yesterday, what team do you think meets them in the Stanley Cup Finals? unfortunately I think the rangers have the edge 6. Is water wet? No. Water makes other things wet. I think.
