  1. Brayden Albrecht is a Center that was acquired as a hired gun from the DHL. The glue that holds the Houston Bulls together The style of hockey that Albrecht plays is a physical yet calculated style of play. It isn't the most jaw-dropping style of hockey that makes you stand up out of your seat but it gets the job done. Albrecht is a true two-way forward who you can throw at the wing if it suits what you are going for. Defensively, Albrecht will throw the body which is like running into a tree for all positions, This is because at 6,2 215 pounds he is built like a wrecking ball. The physical game isn't the only upside on defense as he can use the size to crowd the offense and use the stick to make takeaways. This makes him a tremendous option in PK situations. Offensively both passing and scoring haven't been an issue putting up 31 goals and 36 assists for 67 points in 72 games. Not a huge volume but he contributes in most of the games played and helps on defense with 136 hits and 39 shots blocked. Brayden Albrecht is one of those players who just sees the game 3 steps ahead on both sides of the ice and is a good playmaker. Houston has taken a liking to him by letting him wear the A. At the end of the season, he burnt out a bit. This could be due to the longer scheduling of the VHLM as opposed to the DEL. Not a horrible skater but won't get to the other side of the ice in a flash. On occasion, some penalty trouble has shown up. Despite being a good two-way player he isn't going to break the mold at either side quite yet. Has to crowd the goalie in order to get the puck in the net as his shooting from a distance is not quite there yet. Pros- Posses solid stick handling and can dazzle the defense on occasion. Has an above-average vision on offense and defense. Has no problem finding the open man and getting open. Elite-level physicality and strength. Solid in the faceoff circle. Versatile and can be played at wing and center. Efficient on the ice and will do anything possible anywhere. Not an easy person to try and get off balance or knockdown. Good team leader and wears the A Cons-Went hot and cold towards the end of the season, Still adapting to western-style hockey. Lacks speed, Sometimes is undisciplined. Doesn't excel at one particular aspect of the game. Not the most accurate shooter from far from the net. Conclusion. A raw prospect with a lot of upsides, The flashes are there, and a team interested in a versatile forward should put Brayden Albrecht on your list. The ceiling is there and with the right development, he might just break that ceiling if you give it the time. If he falls enough and is there whichever team it is struck gold.
  2. Brayden Albrecht-The Horns Of The Bull At the age of just 17 Brayden Albrecht stepped on the ice for Alder Mannheim of the DEL, The highest league of German professional hockey. As quickly as he moved up the ice, even quicker he fell. The DEL is not a junior league but considering his talent he skipped the lower levels of German play. With that being said Most of the teams Brayden faced were filled with people nearly old enough to pass for his dad and there was no mercy from his opponents despite his age. Coming into the DEL Brayden Albrecht was supposed to be the next big offensive star, someone who could dance up and down the ice and dangle all around. The menacing defense the opponents had did not like the fancy style that he displayed. To put it simply Albrecht was getting bulldozed nearly every game. It was so bad that Alder Mannheim was trying to find a loan partner and make Albrecht a healthy scratch by the end of the season. Things did not look promising, The once highly recruited Albrecht was about to fade out and just could not cut it with the big dogs. They were stronger, faster, and more experienced than him. The writing was on the wall in his DEL future. In the offseason Brayden came up with a plan, Get jacked and get good at defense, Sure he couldn't do all the fancy stuff anymore but considering how physical the German game is, it would mean at least something to Alder Mannheim if he could try and do something to help with the right trainers and the right plan things turned around. The high-protein diet was working, the pounds were coming on, and the weights were getting bigger. In practice, the work was paying off. The hits were being delivered which gained attention from the coaches and the respect of the players. Now that the physical and defensive side of the game was addressed, Brayden got right back on track offensively despite the muscle making him a bit slower. In just his second season at Alder Mannheim, things went from 0 to 100. Not only did Brayden play better but the whole team was looking great. The faceoff circle was dominated by the big man in the center, It got to the point where the DEL commentators considered Brayden Albrecht to be the 3rd defenseman on the ice. The confidence, strength, and raw talent saw the stats sheet pile up, and the VHLM interest took off. The tough, gritty yet also somehow calculated and strategic style of play made its way to Houston.
  3. 1.Weaver, The consistency has been there all season so far getting the puck in the net. 2. I think we've exceeded expectations. There were some tough losses but that's to be expected. We've also had some really big wins and dominant performances as well. 3. I think playing both sides of the puck well is going to be the key to being a playoff team. We have to be able to shutdown offenses as well as lighting the lamp every game we play. 4.Im not sure who the player would be but another solid D to add to our core would help the depth and allow us to be more consistent at that end. 5 I think the discord is pretty solid as is for now. 6. HELL YES
  4. Review-Wow this is nice, the background fits both the player and the team without being too distracting or over the top. The fonts and jersey editing is phenomenal. Everything seems to flow together with this graphic to me. In my opinion the only changes to make would be the logo on the jersey. It looks a little blurry to me but it's not something that ruins the work. This is a style that I would like to take inspiration from someday
  5. 1. Who do you think will win the Founders cup this upcoming season? Right now I think Las Vegas has the best shot to win it all. 2. What did you do during the off-season? I spent most of the time training with my old team in Germany, Alder Mannheim. The other part of the offseason has been me just getting adjusted to a new place and a new home in Houston. 3. What are your expectations for this season? For myself, I personally aim to be a top prospect in the draft as well as help the team on both sides of the ice. 4. Where is the best place to eat in Houston? Vic & Anthony's, If you know you know. After negotiating my contract the GMs took me out to dinner there to talk further about the team and my future. 5. What is your team expectations this season? I think we will do really well this season. We have a core of players that are great and I think will flourish, We are a team that is growing and it will only get better and better 6. Which VHL team you want to get drafted too? I cant say as of right now I have a preferred team I want to play for, I hope and plan to be a top prospect so whoever the VHL team that wants a physical center who has two way potential. I will hopefully be a choice for them.
