Pifferfish reacted to handfullofbubba in Final Regular Season Power Rating
Welcome back! We're back after a short pause with the final power ratings ahead of the playoffs!

Since the last report, there has been no movement in the rankings, and the final standings are closely aligned with the distribution of power ratings.

The Philadelphia Reapers have made a few strong pushes near the end of the season and should be considered the playoffs' dark horse. They finish the season winning ten of their last eleven games. Only losing to the San Diego Marlins 3-1 in Game 340.

Ottawa Lynx finished the season losing six of their last seven games and fell the most since the previous power ratings. Their only win came in a 5-4 shoot-out win over the Las Vegas Aces. Ottawa won the championship last year and will likely be a force again soon.

With the S88 regular season in the books - It is primed for an exciting playoff.

    1. Doing good over here! Ready for the VHLM playoffs
    2. Feels good, the team has been working hard in practice. The deadline aggressiveness by management definitely put us over the edge. We're going to be a dangerous team.
    3. I finished strong after a slow start in Philly. Approaching a PPG as a Reaper, producing well. Feels good
    4. Easy dub for the Philly boys
    5. I think we have a really deep team from top to bottom and we are just now finding our groove. I think we have the momentum at the right time in the season.
    6. Just stick to what we have been doing recently, don't want to change much. Just keep hitting practice hard and good things will come

    1. finals week still...
    2. I'm excited.
    3. I feel like I'm still getting the hang of things yet also trying to help the team.
    4. I feel confident that we can beat them. I mean the team would have had trouble during the beginning of the season, but with the new additions on the team we have better odds at winning.
    5. I feel like the team is ready for playoffs. I'm hoping to at least make it to round 2.

Not to be that guy. But San Diego and Halifax should be swapped so that they are both with their conference

Pifferfish got a reaction from Sullvino in Philadelphia Goes ALL-IN with a blockbuster in Vegas!
The VHLM trade deadline has come and gone, and the Philadelphia Reapers made a splash by acquiring forwards Dank Turtle and Zyn Westwood from the Las Vegas Aces. The move has the potential to shake up the standings and turn the Reapers into serious contenders.

Dank Turtle is a skilled playmaker with a deadly shot. He has 62 points in 64 games played this season and has proven himself to be a reliable offensive threat. Zyn Westwood is a physical presence who can create havoc on the forecheck. He has 37 points in 60 games played this season and has shown flashes of brilliance with his speed and tenacity.

The Reapers are thrilled to have added these two players to their roster. "We believe that Dank Turtle and Zyn Westwood are two of the best forwards in the league," said Reapers general manager, Woody Dickerson. "They both bring a unique skillset to our team and will be invaluable down the stretch."

The acquisition of Dank Turtle and Zyn Westwood fills a void in the Reapers' lineup. "We've been looking for some scoring punch and some physicality up front," said Dickerson. "Dank and Zyn bring both of those things to the table. They're going to make us a tougher team to play against."

Reapers fans are also excited about the trade. "I think it's a great move for the team," said longtime fan, Lisa Wilson. "We needed some help up front, and Dank and Zyn are exactly what we needed. I can't wait to see what they can do in a Reapers uniform."

The trade deadline is always a hectic time for teams, and the Reapers were no exception. "It was a busy day for us," said Dickerson. "We had a lot of discussions with other teams, but in the end, we felt like Dank and Zyn were the best fit for us. They're both experienced players who have been through playoff runs before, even in their hockey careers before the VHLM. We think they can help us get to where we want to go."

The Reapers are currently in third place in the VHLM's Eastern Conference, just two points behind the second-place Halifax 21st. The addition of Dank Turtle and Zyn Westwood could be the difference maker in the race for the home-ice advantage in Round 1.

"We're not satisfied with just making the playoffs," said Dickerson. "We want to win a championship, and we believe that Dank and Zyn can help us do that. We have a strong group of players here, and we think that these two guys will fit right in."

The Reapers have 8 games left in the regular season, and Dank Turtle and Zyn Westwood are expected to make their impact felt soon. The team is looking forward to seeing what they can bring to the table.

"We're excited to have them on board," said Dickerson. "They're both great players and great people. We think they'll be a great addition to our team both on and off the ice."
Reapers fans are eagerly anticipating the playoff debut of Dank Turtle and Zyn Westwood for the Reapers. "I can't wait to see them in action," said Wilson. "I think they're going to be a great addition to our team and help us make a deep playoff run."

Only time will tell if the acquisition of Dank Turtle and Zyn Westwood will pay off for the Reapers, but one thing is for sure – the team is all in on making a push for the championship.
