scoop got a reaction from duckberg32 in Honoring Zach Arce
And I just realized that his HoF sig is incorrect, as he did not play in S15.

Part of the spirit of the Super Cup is honoring former VHL stars. I am GM of The Arceholes, a team created to honor Hall of Famer Zach Arce.
Zach Arce was drafted 14th overall in Season 9, a considerable steal for the Avangard Havoc (now the Davos Dynamo). He did not have a long career in the VHL, playing as a rookie in Season 10 and retiring after Season 14. In his 360 game career, he scored 180 goals and 489 points. In terms of total statistics, you look at the career stats and this may not look like a Hall of Fame-worthy player, especially when you consider that he was not much of a defensive player. But when you examine the rest of his case, you can understand why he was named a first-ballot Hall of Famer in Season 15.
Zach Arce was a member of three championship teams: S11 Davos Dynamo, S13 Davos Dynamo, and S14 New York Americans. He won both MVP awards in Season 12 and 13, earning the Mike Szatkowski Trophy during both of those seasons as the VHL's points leader.
My first player played for the Dynamo with Arce in Season 12 and 13, and he was much more than a great player, but also a great member of the VHL.

The story begins here, and concludes a few posts down where I applied.
Here's the story in my words.
Mike was looking for more applicants, so I made a post saying that I would apply if someone came up with a witty team name for me. Mike listed several possible team names, and being the hilarious chap that I am, I repeated my previous post word for word, implying that none of the team names he suggested were witty. I liked my second post (liking my own posts is something I frequently do), and Higgins, noticing this, said that only and Arce hole would like his own post. I promptly applied to be a GM with the team name being The Arceholes.
Therefore, I encourage you all to like your own posts (at least in the Super Cup game threads). I also encourage you to like any and all posts that your teammates make in the game threads. If we are as active as I hope for us to be, I want everyone to be reaching their maximum number of likes per day.
Lets all go be Arceholes!

I don't know if the VHLM is considered at all, but maybe the domination from the expansion teams? (6/8 cups since expansion have been won by either Yukon or Bratislava.)

Creating A Rift (the Rift FA, what factors led up to it, what dominoes fell afterward because of it)

Way to let him down, his teammates. Didn't even make it to the finals in any of those seasons.
