What I can remember off the top of my head.

Fair enough. Baseball I can see being very difficult to like from an outsider's perspective because it is so lengthy, and more specifically, the rate at which the game is played. At least in american football, a play is played at full speed. Plays in baseball can have very long intervals. There's a really neat science to it though, and if you understand it there's lot more 'between the lines'. Basketball is a joke, I would agree.

I'm gonna head to Chicago for a week in December, I'll be sure to check some of them out. I usually go up towards Stevens Point for a day or two to visit a friend. I can stop along the way.

I'm interested as to why you think football is boring. In regards to the MLB, they are currently working on some time-clock options, at least from what I've heard on the radio. Would be a good way for the new commissioner to start his tenure.

Looks cool, I've been jonesin' to take a trip to visit the steel city... From what I've heard, it makes me think of a larger version of Milwaukee. Have you done the Lakefront Brewery tour? Pretty good bang for your buck... That and they have the old chalet from Milwaukee County Stadium

Yeah this is pretty accurate, especially the Salem comment . I worked the Oregon Brew Fest last month and there were ~85 breweries, and about 80 of them were Oregon-based companies. It's literally a lifestyle here, a lot of them are pretty unique too. Cascade only makes sour beers, for instance. I think Hair of the Dog has won a few national awards, but they only distribute in the greater PDX metro. Anyways, /rant.

Couldn't agree with this more... Hence why I've always thought rookie contracts should be required to have a minimum 3 seasons. They don't want to play for your team, tell them to pound sand.

Any reason why the responses aren't just simply "yes" or "no"? I would play for them, but not because I think they get a bad rep and want to help them out... Like any other team, I would play for two reasons: 1). I was drafted there, and 2). I decided it was where my player would best fit during free agency.

That's easier said than done. Good for you for following through with that; you will benefit greatly from a strong repertoire. I was really good about doing much the same with Saeijs and Byer a few years back... And maybe again in the future
