The Alexander Valiq Trophy is awarded to the VHL's top offensive defenseman, and it's an award that is suddenly up for grabs for a new generation of blue liners with Condor Adrienne @OrbitingDeath and Lincoln Tate @Tate now retired. A huge spike in the offensive production of Cinnamon Block @omgitshim makes her a contender, with 14 goals and 85 assists for 99 points. Lucas Brandt @twists went from center to defenseman, but kept his scoring touch, recording a staggering 30 goals and 52 assists for 82 points. Roque Davis @Josh was a rookie phenom, winning the Valiq in Season 71, but are his 103 points able to silence detractors and establish him as an elite player? Lastly, Latrell Mitchell @dasboot scored 24 goals and assisted on 66 more, cementing himself as a major piece of Warsaw's run for the Cup.

Who's going to emerge as the new premiere offensive defenseman of the VHL? The winner is...

Roque Davis!!

While Brandt's 30 goals drew him consideration and votes, the sheer volume of offense that Roque Davis generated this season was simply too much for the majority of the Awards Committee to overlook. A master facilitator of the puck, no one in the VHL had a hand in creating more scoring chances than Davis, who was often the key for getting the puck to Moscow's talented forwards. Individual success has largely eluded Davis since his phenomenal rookie season, but he answered the bell with the retirement of Condor Adrienne and Lincoln Tate to emerge as one of the game's elite blue liners and win his second Alexander Valiq Trophy.

Congratulations to Roque Davis, winner of the Alexander Valiq Trophy!

Voting:

Roque Davis: 6, Lucas Brandt: 3

On the other hand, the Jake Wylde Trophy is an award recognizing the best defensive defenseman in the league, a truly thankless and overlooked role in the VHL. Roque Davis @Josh is better known for his offensive prowess, but was also an effective defender, with 206 hits and 161 shots blocked. Times have been tough for the Los Angeles Stars, but Jiggly Gumballs @JigglyGumballs has been a bright spot for them, blocking 179 shots and hitting 216 opponents. Randy Marsh @oilmandan is a fearsome presence on the blue line, recording a staggering 292 hits and blocking 130 shots as well. Lastly, Latrell Mitchell @dasboot appears again on the ballot, racking up 235 hits with an impressive 181 shots blocked.

The winner of the Season 76 Jake Wylde Trophy is...

Latrell Mitchell!

The Australian blue liner had a massive year for the Warsaw Predators, upping his game all across the board and running away with the Jake Wylde Trophy. His offensive play took off, but he really shined in his own zone. Recording 235 hits and blocking a staggering 181 shots, Latrell Mitchell was absolutely fearless in Season 76, and after being wildly underrated for much of his career, he finally gets his due tonight with the Jake Wylde Trophy. The Predators will be back next season, and Latrell Mitchell will be at the forefront of the charge.

Congratulations to Latrell Mitchell, your Jake Wylde Trophy winner as the VHL's top defensive defenseman!

The Sterling Labatte Trophy, one of the most prestigious awards in the league, is awarded to the player deemed to be the best defenseman in the VHL. For a blue liner looking to achieve immortality in the VHL Hall of Fame, you don't just need to win a Labatte Trophy… you need to win it multiple times. This season, we have three clear-cut candidates staking a claim as the VHL's best. Cinnamon Block @omgitshim looks to cap off her farewell tour by riding into the sunset with the Sterling Labatte Trophy. Roque Davis @Josh had a masterful season with the Moscow Menace, leading all defensemen in points and was fantastic in his own end as well. Latrell Mitchell @dasboot was a punishing presence for the Warsaw Predators, and was equally dangerous in the offensive zone as well.

The wait is over! It's time to find out who the top defenseman of the next generation is! The winner of the Sterling Labatte Trophy is...

Roque Davis!!

A tough race, but the strong two-way play of Latrell Mitchell simply didn't stand up to the offensive prowess of Roque Davis, whose defensive play was also excellent. It's a huge night for Davis' legacy, adding his second Valiq and a Sterling Labatte Trophy to continue building his Hall of Fame credentials and establish himself as a top player of the Season 71 draft class. The true test to his lasting legacy, however, will be the success he brings to the Los Angeles Stars, his newest team, who have not had much of anything to celebrate in their first four seasons. But tonight, we celebrate the tremendous accomplishment of his Sterling Labatte Trophy win!

Congratulations to Roque Davis, your Season 76 Sterling Labatte Trophy winner!!

Roque Davis: 6, Latrell Mitchell: 3

Up next, it's the Aidan Shaw Trophy, awarded to the top goaltender in the VHL! More than bragging rights are on the line here, as any goaltender looking to achieve immortality will see their chances skyrocket by winning a Shaw. In the end, we saw three goalers who rose into contention for this award. Zamboni Driver @Tape-to-Tape was huge in net for the Helsinki Titans, boasting a .926 save percentage and five shutouts. Jacob Tonn @MexicanCow123, the Greg Clegane Trophy winner with the Moscow Menace, had a spectacular season with a .927 save percentage and a 2.46 GAA. Stone Wolski @DollarAndADream , the reigning Shaw Trophy winner, had another big season for the DC Dragons, with a .923 save percentage and a 2.65 GAA.

Which of these three will stake their claim tp the Aidan Shaw Trophy as the VHL's top goaltender tonight? Your winner is…

… by UNANIMOUS decision…

Jacob Tonn!

Not even a contest for the MosCOW netminder, taking home the only unanimous decision of the night! Simply put, this was an easy decision for the Awards Committee, as Tonn was far and away the best goalie in the VHL statistically, the clear decision as the Aidan Shaw Trophy winner. Tonn was phenomenal in his first season with the Moscow Menace, but with a rebuild imminent, it turns out it was his only one, as he heads off to the London United. The off-season holds many questions for him, but for tonight, Jacob Tonn stands alone as the top goaltender in the VHL!

Congratulations to Jacob Tonn, winner of the Season 76 Aidan Shaw Trophy!

We've honored the players, now let's take a moment to recognize the men up in the suites… that's right, it's time to recognize the top general manager in the VHL this season with the David Knight Trophy! We've got a crowded field this year, so there's no time to waste!

Victor Alfredsson @Victor, who guided the Moscow Menace to the Victory Cup!

Blake Campbell @Banackock, who once again had his Seattle Bears right in the thick of the competition!

Geoffrey Dee @JeffD, who in four short seasons took the Chicago Phoenix from an expansion team to becoming VHL Continental Cup champions!

Jason Glasser @diamond_ace , who led the Prague Phantoms on a resurgent season and into European Conference contention!

Eno Rama @Enorama, whose DC Dragons replaced key losses to yet again contend for supremacy in the North American Conference!

Damien Walec @.sniffuM, who flipped the Warsaw Predators from expansion doormat to a major force in the European Conference!

Which general manager gets the bragging rights this season? The winner of the David Knight Trophy is...

Jason Glasser!!

Now a four-time David Knight Trophy winner,  this is Jason Glasser's first with the Prague Phantoms, and his first since Season 34. After several seasons of disappointments and near-misses, Prague burst onto the scene in Season 76, establishing themselves as a contender in the European Conference. Led by the veteran Thomas Landry II @Doomsday and bolstered by a deep crop of rookie prospects, Jason Glasser made the difficult decision to part with franchise blue liner Cinnamon Block @omgitshim before the season, but was rewarded with the emergence of John LeClair II @flyersfan1406 and Dan Baillie Jr @wcats, along with strong rookie seasons from Dominic Gobeil @Domg5, Battre Sandstrom @Acydburn , and Robert Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito as the Phantoms clicked into a force. Using the gains of the Cinnamon Block trade, Glasser brought in Jungkok @tfong and Grekkark Gyrfalcon @Sharkstrong, boldly putting his chips in to go for the Continental Cup. Winning their first playoff series in team history against the Riga Reign in the Wild Card round, the Phantoms came tantalizingly close to advancing to the European Conference Finals before falling in overtime of Game Seven against the Moscow Menace. Jason Glasser has put the Prague Phantoms into position to contend for the Cup again with his new core, deservedly bringing home the David Knight Trophy.

Congratulations to Jason Glasser, the VHL's top general manager of Season 76 as the David Knight Trophy winner!
