Zach Kisslinger II-LW-6'8-235 pounds.

 

 

 

 Hockey has been in Zach Kisslinger II's blood for a while, He is the son of former Prague Phantom assistant captain Zachariah Kisslinger. He is a natural born goal scorer and a big body on the ice. He has excellent Hockey IQ and excellent discipline. He is a powerplay specialist and has a cannon for a shot. His teammates say he is a natural born leader and is very serious when it comes puck drop. They say outside of hockey he has a super fun personality and is an easy guy to get along with.   

 

 

 

Czech League & OHL

 

He played a small professional stint in Prague playing for the HC Sparta Praha. He only played 3 games and notched 1 goal in those games. after his small stint for HC Sparta Praha, Kisslinger returned to Canada and really started to focus on his hockey career, this was something the scouts knew he was hungry for. Kisslinger was drafted 4th overall by the Niagara Ice Dogs his draft year. He went on to have a monster first year having 43 goals and 37 assists for a point total of 80 in 68 games played. Things were starting to look good for Kisslinger until playoff time. Kisslinger took a knee-on-knee collision in game 2 of the playoffs and it side lined him indefinitely. He had torn his MCL and required surgery to fix the issues. Things were not looking good come draft day for Kisslinger. He knew his draft stock has dropped and he was starting to get discouraged. He had the scouts easily impressed with his regular season, but this injury messed everything up.

 

 

 

NHL

 

Kisslinger was selected in the first round, pick 27th by the New Jersey Devils. He was brought into a young core with people that could maybe motivate him and keep him on the right track. Kisslinger played in the preseason and did not do much. He was assigned the 3rd line come regular season and he only played 10 games with the club before being sent to the minors. He was not playing his best hockey.  But that showed the VHLM scouts his character. He never let it bother him, he used it as motivation to keep playing and eventually someone would want to give him a shot.

Kisslinger is currently a F/A and is currently listening to offers, he is ready to prove he belongs in the hockey world. He is excited about joining this league and following in his fathers foot steps.
