ARTHUR KIMURA | 5'7'', 165 LBS | RIGHT WING | JAPAN

Goals. That's what Arthur Kimura has been doing his entire career up to this point. Arthur discovered the sport of hockey through watching highlights of Alexander Ovechkin on Youtube and that's when he decided that this is what he wanted to do for a living. Coming from a family invested in puroresu, Arthur decided not to lace wrestling boots like his mother and sister, but to lace ice skates instead. He enrolled at a high school with a hockey team and while it was difficult for him to make the team during his first year, as he was still learning the sport, it wasn't long until he became a goal scoring legend at his school, owning every goal and point records the school had at that point.

It was after leaving high school where things got complicated for the talented right winger. His smaller stature and playing in Japan didn't give him the opportunities he wish he could've had. He never made it after every try-out possible to make Team Asia's U18 team. Yes, he could score goals like nobody else, but his low hockey IQ and, once again, his smaller build didn't convince the general manager to make him a spot on his team. During this time, as he couldn't find places to play competitive hockey, he did get trained by his mother and participated in a few wrestling shows, as well. He even got offered a Young Boy contract in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, whic he politely declined to pursue his hockey dream.

This is where he decided to not only focus on the goals part of hockey, but on every part of hockey. He started working way harder on his puck-handling and his skating, he filmed himself every game or practice and uploaded all these clips to his Youtube and his Tik Tok where he went semi-viral in the hockey community and a few offers started trickling in. At 19 years of age, no Junior team was interested in his service, but he did get some offers from colleges. Merrimack, Montclair State, nothing major except one, he managed to get the attention of the Wisconsin Badgers. An offer he couldn't refuse.

In his career with the Badgers, he never really became an impact player, he was what he always was, a goal scorer, but all the cons about his game only made him a 3rd line powerplay specialist at Wisconsin. He never won a National title, he never became the star he wanted to be at the university and he ended up playing until he finished his degree at 24 years old.

But just like Wisconsin, he somehow managed to get the attention of one professionnal team, the VHLM's Saskatoon Wild. The only offer he got from any professional team. He made a promess to himself and his family that this is it, this is his moment, he doesn't want to go back to Japan and wrestle like the rest of his family. He wants a Continental Cup more than the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship. Whether he has to go through all the VHLM teams or he has to go through VHL Europe, he is now betting on himself to make it to the VHL, make it as a star in the league and help his future team(s) win the Cup. Nothing less.
