Laughton's New Life

Blake Laughton has had a pretty eventful life after retiring from the VHL. As it currently stands, Laughton is the CEO of Mars+, a company with the sole purpose of developing space travel and eventually colonizing and terraforming Mars. Now, this may not make sense to most people, as he has never truly cared about space travel, or Mars, or really any science. He was a simple man with simple enjoyments; however, one of these simple enjoyments led to Laughton likely becoming the first trillionaire, and be the man that sent the first people to another world.

Laughton is a massive fan of the Rocky films, and it was this love that eventually led to the progression of space travel. He felt that the movie series could go further beyond what it had, and used all the money he earned from hockey to buy the rights to the Rocky franchise. Under his leadership, four new Rocky movies were made. Rocky 6 was based around the Nazis returning to Earth from their moon base hidden on the dark side of the Moon to conquer the world, and Rocky was tasked with beating the now unfrozen and super jacked Hitler in a boxing match, winner rules the Earth. Rocky 7 was a continuation of that story, after Rocky beat Hitler in the boxing match. Knowing that the Nazis would not stay true to their word, Rocky learned to breathe on the Moon and went to box the new, super improved, Mecha Hitler. Rocky of course beat this Hitler and then destroyed the entire base, defeating the Nazis for good. Rocky 8 and 9 were a two part series, similar to Avengers Infinity War and Endgame, in which Martians came to Earth, beat Rocky in a boxing match, and conquered the world, and then, in the next film, Rocky trained for 5 years underground, eventually returning to the surface and defeating the Martians, sacrificing himself along with them, finally bringing the Rocky series to the close that Laughton always wanted. Surprisingly enough, none of these movies flopped and Rocky 7 is actually top 5 in most money earned. The big thing about Laughton is, however, is that he hated special effects with a passion. And that hate fueled the ongoing space race.

Laughton, to avoid having a CGI moon base, actually invested heavily on an already existing space agency and helped establish a now thriving moon colony. He continued investment into space travel, eventually buying the agency he was using and rebranding. His sights are on colonizing Mars. He has sent a plethora of robots to build up the infrastructure on the red planet, seen in Rocky 8 and 9, and humans will soon touch down on another world. His hope is that, once the colony is functioning and proven successful, he can finally shoot the Rocky spinoff series. Rocky is gone and will never return, but a bastard son with the power of a stallion and the heart of a lion is ready to reclaim his estranged father’s glory from an unloving family using the Rocky name for fame and prosperity. Coming to theaters 3 years after cryosleep is possible.

The article is well done the description of the rocky sequels are very good and interesting because I feel like most players just try to relaxe after retirement but your really players want it to have almost like a other life after hockey. 9/10
