Robert Wilk’s dream comes true

 

It’s been a hectic time for San Diego Marlins alumni Robert Wilk. From a plethora of draft interviews, through the World Juniors to finally taking part in the VHL Draft – it’s been both exciting and terrifying for the youngster. Nothing was ever more of a dream for the young winger than one day playing for his hometown team, the Warsaw Predators. And on the night of the Draft, that dream came true. When Wilk’s name was called as the 12^th pick, Robert lost his mind of happiness. He’s come a long way from being drafted 41^st in the VHLM to being picked in the first round of the VHL draft by his dream team. Robert is over the moon to be able to live with his family in his hometown while still playing professional hockey at the highest level – but obviously there’s one more step before that. His focus is now on the VHLE in which he’ll play until he’s ready for the big leagues.
