HIV/AIDS was referred to as the "gay plague." you can learn more about homophobia and HIV here. outreach, inc. is a local organization that aims to educate the madison community about the damaging effects of queer violence, emphasizes the importance of understanding intersectionality, prioritizes enabling people with oppressed identities of all ages, and creates safe spaces for those who may not be able to find that elsewhere. It was our first ever blood drive, and it was a huge success. We were able to collect 24 units of blood, which equals out to 72 lives being saved or helped!
