Half season

So we are a little over half the season gone in the VHLM and this is player rankings by position. Feel free to comment your opinions. For this part it will only be about goalies, but the next ones to come will be about other players. Which will be posted by either me or my friend. If you want a tag in the next posts, please do ask.

Goalies:

Best goalies so far this season are:

1. Juha Jarvinen

-He bounce between 2 teams this year so far and both are at same spot in standings at time of the trade. He started off with Philly and kept them within a playoffs spot. But he truly took the bulls too another level. bringing them to second in the league right now. As the Bulls are currently tied second in GA. They're looking like a top 3 for the founders cup this year guaranteed.

   - Philly stats: 11gp 7-3-1  0.902sv% 2.94GAA 338sa

   - Houston stats: 20gp 16-3-1  0.916sv% 2.2GAA 526sa

2. Cole Pearce

-This season he had a bit of a slower start, but things got going pretty quick. Unfortunately for him, he was on a lower standing team for a while. I think the opportunity to now play for Philly will help him quite a lot. Also considering his only a S82 player, makes it even more remarkable. I would definitely not be surprised if he ends up going into the top 5 for VHL draft this year. I fully expect him to carry Philly into a dark horse spot.

   - Philly stats: 2gp 1-1-0  0.932sv% 3GAA 959sa

   - Saskatoon stats: 27gp 7-17-3  0.898sv% 3.6GAA 88sa

3. Thomas Price

-Price plays for Las Vegas. You have to remember that he was the starter for the incredible Yukon Rush from last season. So far this year he is showing that he wasn't getting carried by the Rush last year. He's been pretty consistent has he's sat at third in sv% the whole season I do believe, which is pretty amazing. Let's not forget to mention he is currently siting tied first in wins.

   - Las Vegas stats: 30gp 23-4-3  0.903sv% 2.66GAA 837sa

4. Miervaldis Arpa

-No I'm not biased, even thought he is my teammate. The other guy with most wins in the league. Last few sims haven't been the greatest as I had him previously at number 2. But I still have him as one of the best. He never lost in overtime and also leads the league in shutouts with 3.

   - Mississauga stats: 31gp 23-7-0  0.984sv% 2.59GAA 746sa

5. Boris Tsezar

-Now yes I will admit, this is a weird pick. But he's really close too a .900sv% on Mexico, which remind you are 8th right now. He has got all the team points, so every win the team has, he was in net. Him having over 1000 shots against and 2 shutouts are some of the reasons why I picked him. He is my off board pick, but still a good one none the less.

   - Mexico stats: 36gp 12-23-1  0.896 3.69GAA 1274sa

I'm sorry for the grammar and all. English isn't my primary language. I will be doing other positions shortly.

They don't call him "The Wall" for nothing. Can't argue with this at all. @Collusion

Not a weird pick at all. For the longest time this season Mexico's only wins were on shutouts. Mexico are worse than their current position in the league in effectively every single statistic, except goaltending. Boris is playing out of his mind to keep their playoff hopes alive. It's good to see him get some praise for that. @comrade cat

As the season progresses I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Ben Dahl @Nothing but goals might claw his way onto this list. So far his biggest stanout stat is having the best SO SV% in the league. But his play has been steadily improving along with the rest of the team. So I see him as a dark horse for making this list later in the season, for sure.

Thanks for feed back. I am trying to make lists for every position plus also try and update as much as possible which means I got to keep up with stats for everyone.
