S81 VHLM conference Final game Recap

In the finals of the S81 VHLM conference finals the San Diego Marlins and the Ottawa Lynx were all tied up at 3 going into the 7th game which decides who goes to the finals. The puck drops in Ottawa where only 3 minutes into the game the Lynx strike with Jason Coiner to get the first goal and a early lead in the game. The Marlins strike back immediately as only 7 seconds later Johnny Xavier has the puck down the ice and in the back of the net to tie the game up. At the halfway point of the period Maxwell Mathias gets the lead for the Marlins as he finishes out the scoring in the first. The game is pretty even so far with the shots being the same at 11 and the scoring being tight. There is only one goal scored in the second which came from Ottawa's Jason Lajeunesse on the powerplay. All tied up going into the third to decide who goes to the finals the scoring is strong, It starts off for Ottawa with Janet Snakehole early in the period and 3 minutes later once again on the powerplay from a repeat goal scorer Jason Lajeunesse. The game is now 4 to 2 and the scoring is handed back to the Marlins now as they score 2 straight on the powerplay to tie the game up at 4. The first comes from Igor Molotov and the second from Brian Payne. The next goal only comes a minute later as Jason Lajeunesse finishes off his hat trick and gains the lead for Ottawa. 16 seconds later the Marlins have the puck in the back of the net as Christopher Young nets one. But to decide it all with two minutes left in the game Alf Larsson is able to throw one in the back of the net for the game winner as he sends the Lynx to the VHLM Finals. The Marlins were outshot 44 to 34, A great offensive performance from both sides in the tight contest with the 3 stars of the game split 2 to 1 between the two teams. The first star was of course Jason Lajeunesse due to his 3 goal performance. The second star for this time from Ottawa was Maxwell Mathias with a outstanding 3 point performance. The last star of the night was Alf Larsson who had the same statline as Maxwell Mathias with 1 goal and 2 assists. due to the efforts of the Lynx in this game they were able to go on and win the Finals of the VHLM and become champions.
