Eight games were played by the Jansers and without further ado, we will start our recap of same.

4-3

In the first match the Eagles faced of the Rush in a 4-3 loss. At the 5:41 minutes mark the Eagles went ahead. Elsby intercepts a pass from Live, passes to Bonaparte, Bonaparte to Janser, back to Bonaparte, Janser again, relay to Elsby who only has to tap in. Alas, Geneva had a rebound with three consecutive goals for the first period. The second frame is 2-1 Vasteras with Elsby on a powerplay and Toon scoring for the Swedish outfit. The third period came and went without seeing a goal. Elsby (2g/0a), Toon (1g/1a) and Lavelle (1g/1a) were awarded the three stars. Utonium (.920) outclassed Arpa (.842) by a country mile, but even that was not enough to stop sufficient attempts to steal a win. Vasteras' power play was on the weaker side (1/6) but their box play was spotless (2/2).

Marcel was noted with 0g, 1a, -1, and 2sb

4-1

The second encounter was against the Swiss team again with an even clearer verdict of 4-1 Geneva. The Rush won the first two frames with 1-0 each. In the third Vasteras managed to get on the board as well by a goal of Blugers. But Geneva corrected the result with two goals, one of which was even short handed. The three stars went to Dvorak (1g/1a), Arpa (35 saves) and Skates (1g/1a). Arpa (.972) played like a man posessed and outplayed Utonium (.909) who had no mean game themselves. Vasteras' power play was desastrous with 0/8 success rate and even a goal scored against them. The penalty killing (2/2) did their job though.

Marcel had 0g, 0a, -3, and 4sb

4-3 (SO)

The next game was against the Red Wolves from Istanbul. The first period was a 2-2 tie with Elsby and Young scoring for the Eagles. The second period ended in a 1-1 deuce. During a powerplay, Marcel receives the puck and carries it into Istanbul's zone and passes to Elsby. Elsby winds up for a slapper and misses the net. However, the puck bounces back on his blade and this time he beats the goaltender with a wrister. The third frame remained without a goal from either side and so did the overtime. So the teams were back at throwing dices again, with luckier hand for Istanbul, with Wilson being the only one able to beat his opponent. Elsby (2g/0a), Young (1g/1a) and Jones (1g/1a) were named three stars of the night. Utonium (.941) carried their team on their shoulders and was clearly the better netminder this evening than Nu (.864). The Eagles' power play was okay (1/5) the penalty kill had room for improvement (5/7).

Marcel logged 0g, 1a, -1, 2 hits and 4sb

0-2

The last Vasteras game we will cover is the rematch against the Red Wolves. The game was tight and tied for a long time before Kman scored for Istanbul. Vasteras' endeavours to force the equalizer gave the Turks a lot of room which they used to put a nail in the coffin. Heavems was the culprit for this marker. The three stars were given to Nu (22 saves), Jones (0g/2a) and Kman (1g/0a). Obviously, Nu with his shutout was unbeatable in the tendy-race, Utonium's performance (.946) was more than decent though. The Swedes' power play had room for improvement (0/3), while their pk was immaculate (1/1).

Marcel achieved 0g, 0a, -1, 2 hits and 3sb.

7-5

The Wranglers' first match was against the LA Stars and ended in a 7-5 win for the Calgary team. The Albertan team hit the ground running and after 56 seconds they scored the first goal. Perry dumps the puck in LA's zone where it is retrieved by Sova. However, Daniel with aggressive fore-checking delivers a crushing check and knocks the puck lose. Same is picked up by Eagles, pass to Perry, who one-taps it back to Eagles. He finds another outlet in Janser, who one-times it from the hash-mark. Nasherov is screening the shot and deflects it past Rasputin. A mere 28 second later we see further evidence of Janser's grit when he took on the 5 inch taller and 12 pound heavier Florida Man and fought him to a draw, after the Stars player tried to play the puck, which was already securely blocked by the Calgary netminder. Both players were sent to the sin bin for five minutes to cool their temper. Within the next four minutes, Perry scores a natural hat-trick and the veteran goalkeeper is pulled after blocking only 4/8 shots. Gibson takes his place in the crease. After this starting crescendo the game assumed a somewhat more sedate pace and LA catches up with three goals of their own, however Eagles bags one for the Wranglers to make this frame 5-3 Wranglers. The second period had written 'Calgary' all over it with a clear 2-0 win for that time frame. Reinhart and Nasherov found the back of the net for the Wranglers. The Stars got second wind when they scored the only two goals in the third. Alas, the handicap of the four goals from the starting five minutes proved to be too overwhelming and so they lost this very entertaining match. The fans who decided to go and fetch some snacks and only returned to their seats ten minutes after face-off, certainly regretted their decision as they missed not less than half the goals scored in this game. It was not a small surprise when Perry (3g/1a) was 'only' elected as third star, preceded by Nasherov (2g/3a) and Eagles (1g/4a) on first. Klamasteris' (.848) performance was not exactly stellar but neither was it need as Rasputin's (.500) blackouts could not be sufficiently be salvaged by Gibson's (.932) all-star show. Calgary converted both of their power plays and did not allow any goals against while on a man disadvantage either (2/2).

Daniel had 0g, 1a, +2, 7 PIM (a Major for Fighting a minor for Hooking, obviously no effect on the result), 3 hits and 47.06 FO%.

3-2

The second match up was against the ailing Chicago Phoenix and ended in a 3-2 win for the Canadians. It was Janser who opened the score 16:38 minutes into the game. After several shot attempts by the Wranglers, Eagles picks up the lose puck and shoots but misses again. The biscuit falls into Perry's lap (figuratively of course) and he gives it a swing, the shot would have gone wide, if Daniel did not get a piece of it mid-air, enough to deflect it into the net. That was the sole goal of the period. The second frame falls to Calgary as well with a score of 2-0. Reinhart and Nasherov scored for the Wranglers. In the third period the Phoenix closed the gap due to two power play goals to one, but it was a day late and a dollar short and so they had to concede the game. The tree stars went to Eagles (0g/2a), Perry (0g/2a) and Nasherov (1g/0a). Klamasteris (.926) was slightly worse in net than Doe (.942) in Chicago's crease. The Wranglers' power play almost cost them the game (0/3) while the box play was average (2/8).

Daniel was reported with a 1g, 0a, +2, 4 PIM (Hooking and Roughing, the latter leading to a goal against), 3 hits and a success rate at the draw of 57.14%

3-5

The third encounter was the rematch in Chicago against the Phoenix with a final score of 5-3 Wranglers. Chicago's plans for retribution went south after 10:13 minutes into the first. Nasherov gets the puck from Perry and shoots, but misses by a few inches, Perry pick is up and tries as well but with the same effect. Daniel picks the biscuit up behind the goal and does Doe in the net dirty by pulling a Michigan on him. Only 30 seconds later, Perry intercepts a suicide pass from a Chicago defender and dishes it to Janser who one times it bar-down for his second of the night. 34 seconds into the second frame, Daniel wins a defensive face-off and passes the disc to Eagles. Thomas goes the full two hundred feet and shoots, but misses. The puck changes sides via the boards behind the net and Daniel picks it up and does a Forsberg on the netminder. Hat-Trick for Janser, his first in the VHL, the second of his career (game 213 in Season S80 he had a three goal, four point game). Chicago pulls one back and the frame is a 1-1 tie. The third period is an up and down with a brace of goals for either team. Jokinen in power play and Perry on even strength bagged the goals for the Wranglers. Janser (3g/0a), Perry (1g/2a) and Eagles (0g/2a) are elected the three stars of the game. Klamasteris (.912) outshone the Chicago tendy (.898). The Calgary power play was decent (1/3) and the penalty kill was flawless (4/4).

Daniel logged 3g, 0a, +4, 4 PIM (Hooking and Elbowing, no effect on the score), 6 hits and 66.67 FO%.

2-4

The fourth match of today's review is against LA in a 2-4 defeat. The Stars took the first period with a power play goal 1-0. The second frame saw two Calgary goals by Funk and Reinhart, the latter in power play, but also one goal by the Californians to tie the game at 2-2. The third period was all LA again with two goal early in and despite being heavily outshot, they could cling to their lead and steal a win. The three stars were given to Fairchild (1g/1a), Dan (1g/3a) and Man (1g/1a). Klamasteris (.879) did not perform on his usual level and Rasputin (.959) redeemed himself handsomely for his flop game against the same opponent earlier. Calgary's power play was underwhelming (1/7) and the box play allowed a goal in LA's single attempt.

Daniel had 0g, 0a, -2, 1 hit and FO% 43.48 to his name.

I really like the graphics, it makes it look a lot more professional :D I know it would've been too difficult to do but it would've been awesome if the Calgary Flames logo was replaced with the Wranglers one :P

I get your gist, I roleplayed it that they use the same stadium as us and we take turns in putting the logo on the ice as otherwise defrosting, change logo, put ice on again would simply be not feasible... S82 is a Flames Season....
