Standard situation, we have two exceptional players and one exceptional Builder to induct. Let's go.

G - Jean Pierre Camus, S73-S80 :chi:

 RS: 513 GP, 285 W, 178 L, 43 OTL, 3.14 GAA, .919 SV%, 23 SO

 PO: 60 GP, 32 W, 20 L, 8 OTL, 2.95 GAA, .923 SV%, 3 SO

S76 Daisuke Kanou Trophy (Playoff MVP)

S78 Aidan Shaw Trophy (Top Goalie)

S80 Brett Slobodzian Trophy (Most Outstanding)

S80 Aidan Shaw Trophy (Top Goalie)

S80 Greg Clegane Trophy (Lowest GAA)

2x All-VHL First Team (S78, S80)

One Continental Cup (S76)

Super unlucky not to get into the HOF on his first ballot, Jean Pierre Camus was a unanimous decision on the second attempt. The man synonymous with Chicago's quick rise from expansion to champions and remained among the VHL's elite until Camus' retirement. Although there was a big playoff performance in S76 and top honours in S78, Camus left the best til last with a mind-blowing .935 save percentage in his final season - a mark not seen since S57. As GAA rose and save percentages plummeted across the VHL, Camus remained a consistent presence in net and goes in the Hall as easily the best goalie of his generation. Congrats on another HOF entry @solas!

LW - Aloe Dear, S74-S81 :war::dcd::que:

RS: 576 GP, 329 G, 455 A, 784 P, +236, 544 PIM, 1,055 HIT, 266 SB, 48 GW

PO: 96 GP, 49 G, 63 A, 112 P, -5, 93 PIM, 171 HIT, 43 SB, 4 GW

S78 Scotty Campbell Trophy (Most Valuable)

S78 Brett Slobodzian Trophy (Most Outstanding)

S78 Mike Szatkowski Trophy (Most Points)

S78 Alexander Beketov Trophy (Most Assists)

2x All-VHL First Team (S77, S78)

2x All-VHL Second Team (S79, S81)

Two Continental Cups (S78, S81)

Another easy choice for the voters, Aloe Dear was very much a blast from the past. Let's just put it this way - Cast and Thompson retired in S68 with more than 800 points and since then the highest achieved by any other player is Lee Xin's 717. Only 3 others hit the 700-point mark. That makes Dear's 785 mark a slam dunk HOF induction. On top of that, Dear was to Warsaw what Camus was to Chicago, leading an expansion franchise to their first Continental Cup and a place among the VHL's elite - only 4 more players in VHL history have more points in the playoffs than Dear. Dear was a dominant forward for at least half a decade, with one particularly crowning year in S78, and a worthy HOF induction at last for @Renomitsu - although we all know Hiro deserved to be there as well.

VOTING RESULTS

Jean Pierre Camus - 16/16

Aloe Dear - 16/16

----

Kohler, Holik, Pepper, Davis, Killinger, Lamb, Merrick, Socks, Xin - 0/16

BUILDER INDUCTION

We also have another entry into the hallowed list of Builders in S82. Compared to some names in the HOF, @Josh is a relative newcomer. But just in 20 seasons or so in the VHL, he has already left a lasting mark, taking over and evolving Will's revolutionary work as the man in charge of the portal and eventually stepping into a deserved role as VHL Commissioner, having performed lots of the traditional commish duties for quite some time before it was made official. Josh started off working in tandem with Will, with his first project I believe being the migration of team finances onto the portal, but has been running solo for most of the time since, overseeing a few VHL expansions and the integration of the VHLE. Outside of the portal/running the league, Josh has provided a number of top class players and GMed in the VHLM as well as in charge of the expansion Los Angeles Stars but the induction is of course primarily down to his work as a blue. Although history suggests that often active members are past their peak at the time of a Builder induction, I think Josh is one of the exceptions to the rule and long may that continue!

Congratulations to Josh, solas, and Reno!

I don't think there's ever been a HoF class that had absolutely zero debate to it, but that's exactly what happens when you have three incredibly deserving candidates like this. Three absolute legends take their place among the league's elite!

Congratulations!!
