S84 Trade Deadline and Theme Week

You thought the birthday post was all you were getting today didn't you? You thought we forgot again? Well we didn't, at least not this time! It is theme week once again!

 

First off, that means that the Trade Deadline is Monday, July 25th at 3pm EDT. This also means that anyone wishing to re-create for the S86 draft can do so starting at midnight that same day.

Given that theme week does fall on the same day as our 15th birthday we figured why not have a common theme eh? For that reason the theme week this season is:

What does that mean exactly? Well it could be a look back at some previous seasons gone by: records, big series wins, members we have lost, what sort of thing. It could also be looking at how things have changed or improved over the years. Chat with some old farts and come up with some creative ideas, I believe in you all!

 

To earn your Theme Week TPE, write an article, create a graphic, or record a podcast with some connection to “The VHL at 15”.

In order to claim the theme week bonus of 6 Uncapped TPE, simply submit your Themed PT (Graphic, Media Spot or 6-TPE Podcast), and claim it as normal. After claiming the PT portion, you can use the same link, and claim the uncapped portion as follows: Claim Uncapped > Other > Doubles Week. (Note: you do not need to post your link in this thread to claim either portion of TPE). A special note on this given the timing though: remember that you cannot claim a  doubles week on top of another doubles week, or in this case a triples week. That means you cannot claim the VHL Birthday bonus and the theme week bonus in the same week.

 

Make sure to tag your articles with “theme week” so we can collect all the great work in one easy-to-find spot. 
 

If you have already submitted a Point Task for this week, or are in the midst of claiming a multi-week Media Spot/Podcast, you may still submit a Theme Week PT this week, and claim the capped portion on the next available week, following your multi-week claim.

 

Also, if you have a single job that pays 6+, you may claim the theme week bonus as long as you complete your duties for the week. If you are in the EFL or SBA and have completed their most recent Media Week, you may use that to claim the Uncapped theme week bonus, but a PT must be completed this week in order to claim the Capped portion, whether that is completed here or through Affiliate Welfare.

 

Note: Only players who are S85 or older may claim the theme week bonus.

Okay so we can't claim Theme Week and Birthday in the same week right? 

 

So for this week:

• Do theme week, claim the 6 Capped and 6 Uncapped double week
• Reply to Birthday Thread

 

Next week:

• Do a PT so we can claim our 15 TPE reply in the birthday thread?

 

Is that how it works? My brain is SLOW today.

More or less. You basically just have to do a theme PT and post in the birthday thread this week. Once that’s done you can claim both in whichever week you want.

Sunday -> Monday, but you may want to wait a bit that day since an admin has to toggle the new creates seasons over to S86. You can do it sooner like at midnight, but it'll likely need a manual adjustment since you'll have late joiner and will show as S85 if it's before the portal stuff is adjusted.

Assuming everything worked correctly the season rollover should be complete and anyone wishing to re-create for S86 should now be able to do so. If you create and it says S85 still and offers you late-joiner TPE please do not spend it. We will get your season sorted for you ASAP but the less you do the easier that is.

 

In theory though everything just worked.
