The Lynx started hot, looking to further increase their lead in the VHL standings. 5 minutes in, it's Sadie St-Louis @sadie with their 26th of the year assisted by Brayden Albrecht @Gage2 and John Richards @John Cimarno. With 3 minutes left in the 1st period, St-Louis pays back the favour and dishes it to Albrecht for his 22 of the season. All is quiet until Halvar Tornjorn @Rayzor_7 brings the deficit to 1, as he scores his 22nd of the year from Nikolas Kauppi @Tetricideand Darius Marimoto II @Bobo. No more scoring as the period closes leaving the score at 2-1 Lynx heading into the 3rd. A whopping six penalties in the 3rd, three a piece, but only one is capitalized on as Torbjorn ties it up for Ottawa with a feed from Nanashi Mumei @kobematthew sending this game to overtime. Albrecht is the overtime hero as he pots his second of the game, 2 minutes in, to give Ottawa the win. And with said win, Ottawa remains ahead of the Las Vegas Aces by one point to remain first in the league. Mexico City remains in 4th place in the conference and 9th overall.
