Game 513:

HC Davos Dynamo vs. Chicago Phoenix

This matchup between Davos and Chicago went from a snoozefest to an absolute barn burner at the drop of a hat.  Through the first two periods, neither offense was effective and the two sides barely managed any shots on goal.  That all changed when the third period started, however. Chicago jumped out to a 1-0 lead on the power play just three minutes into the final period and followed that up with another goal barely six minutes later.  Their 2-0 lead felt unsurmountable to some, but Davos hunkered down and responded with a goal of their own, making it a 2-1 game. Unfortunately for the Phoenix, they couldn't muster any more offense and Davos tacked on an empty netter to win 3-1.

Game 516:

Calgary Wranglers vs. D.C. Dragons

If you want scoring, you came to the right place for this matchup between Calgary and D.C. In the opening period, both teams scored a goal within the first three minutes, but were stymied the rest of the period giving us a 1-1 tie early on. In the second, Calgary took full control of the game thanks to a trio of goals and an unstoppable offensive attack. They were relentless all over the ice and all but put this one to bed in the second period with a 4-2 lead. They weren't done, however.  They tacked on a pair of third period goals for good measure and ended up taking this one 6-3.  If you're a defenseman for D.C., you'll be having nightmares about this one. Just a completely dominant performance from the Wranglers.
