Trailer Park Boys on Twitter: "There's still a few dates ...

Randy Bobandy is a cheeseburger mauling demon born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada. Bobandy exceled at the game of hockey, which led him down the path to the professional league of the VHLM. He would join the league just after the trade deadline where he would chose a team to sign to for the remainder of the season.

Bobandy planned to follow some friends from the S87 draft prospects to the Mexico City Kings. They chose this route since the GM of the Kings was a good guy and they wanted to create some sort of underdog story heading into playoffs. Mexico was ranked 9th in the standings when Bobandy joined, and with 20 games left in S85, he knew he had to make a dent in the league. Bobandy has been an apple wizard his whole hockey career, and this showed in his stats as in 20 games played, Bobandy had 10 assists for 15 points. Not bad at all for his first experience in a professional league. Mexico extremely benefitted from the new prospects and Bobandy's efforts, as the team won 17 of those 20 games to solidify the 4th seed in the league. The Kings would then sweep the Wild in the first round before falling short to the Aces in the second round. Bobandy did his part in those playoffs with 6 points in 11 games. Bobandy learned a lot from this past season and has been able to assess his game moving forward.

He has come to realize his strengths and weaknesses. His strengths come from his two-way center playing style. Bobandy focuses on the defensive aspect of the game just as much as offensive. You can see in the stats, in 20 regular season games Bobandy was +21, 60% in the face-off dot, had 28 hits, and only 8 PIMs. Bobandy focuses on his defensive game to produce his offence. With 10 assists Bobandy is able to find the open man in a scoring opportunity. He has great hands and skating to help boost his game as well.

His cons are his scoring abilities. Bobandy can put the puck in the net, but not often with only 5 goals in 20 games. He only averages 2.5 shots a game which means he doesn't often look for goals.

I would say Bobandy currently has a play style like a Nicklas Backstrom. Bobandy had Kauppi on his line this season who finished with 41 goals in 72 games. So moving forward Bobandy seems to excel when paired with a high scoring winger.
