The day has come.  Mac Atlas is finally about to make his highly anticipated debut in the VHL.  After being selected 1st overall in the Season 87 VHL draft by the Toronto Legion, Atlas is hard at work at training camp preparing to hit the ice dawning the blue and white.  All too familiar with Atlas as a personality and player, is Legion GM Mooner who also drafted Atlas 1st overall in the VHLM when he was GM of the Ottawa Lynx.  The chemistry and relationship between player and management is already set, with more room yet to grow as Mac Atlas attempts to develop into the franchise player scouts know he can be.  The Legion are in for another bleak season, but the rookie star hopes to gain footing and develop against the top tier competition in the VHL.  While the direction of the team for now is going to clearly be to accumulate more high draft picks going into next seasons draft, it also presents a perfect opportunity for management and coaches to tinker with roster chemistry and see who truly works alongside Atlas, and vice versa.

128 points in 72 games.  That was Atlas' stat line coming out of the VHLM.  After a disappointing finals loss with the Lynx, he is ready to show perseverance and relentlessness in the VHL with full commitment to his new team in an attempt to eventually lead the squad to the promise land.  Hoisting the Continental cup would be nothing more than a peak accomplishment, even more so for Mac than achieving Hall of Fame status.  While that is always nice, it is far too early in the rookies career to even be entertaining those thoughts.  As of now, the goal for Atlas is to develop as a leader and power forward centre - similar to greats such as Daniel Janser and Duncan Idaho.

It is currently unclear what lines Mooner plans to roll for the Legions debut game, but one would expect Atlas to slot in on either the 2nd or 1st line off the hop.  Also of note, Toronto was able to snag a close friend of Atlas' with the number 3 pick, Jimi Jaks.  It also remains unclear if Jaks will be called up in time for the start of the VHL season or stay in the terrible terrible terrible stupid dumb dreadful whack ass horrendous horrible VHLE.  HOWEVER it is inevitable that these two will end up as line mates on the Toronto Legion for the majority of their careers.
