League leadership has already discussed our reasons for this, top of which is that there’s little proof it would do anything but make the teams continue to stack their top end, as it usually does. ANYWAY, what we’re going to allow is VHL teams to release 1 inactive player (that is to say, per the VHL rules, a player who has not updated in at least 30 days) without a cap hit so long as they sign an active FA first. So, for example, if you have an inactive taking $3M in cap space you can sign an active FA worth $3M (or less) and drop the inactive player for free. We don’t intend this to be permanent and do have more robust systems being discussed but for now it should allow some of our FA’s to find homes rather than simply having inactives sitting in roster spots. - @Commissioner JardyB10, Ricer13, Lemorse7 and 6 others 6 1 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
