Tavish DeGroot has quickly found himself a home with the Riga Reign, as the veteran defender has found himself quarterbacking one of the most lethal powerplays in VHL's history. Sitting at a whopping 27%, the Riga Reign find themselves a whole 5% better then the second best powerplay, in the Prague Phantoms, which is certainly helping the Reign's dynamite start. Following his 3 assist performance when the team scored 4 unanswered in Warsaw, DeGroot had this to say, wearing the team's man of the match crown:

"We're all having fun out there. Feeding apples to the kids has become a staple of my game and we got good kids on the roster and everything is clicking right now. Frenchy and Weavs are both stallions on the first line, and Ablar and Pearcey are both playing an underappreciated brand of hockey that really works for the team. Tucks is also such a battler. Once he get's settled in there is no goalie better in the league."
