In the first period, David Cobberson found the back of the net, giving the Express an early 1-0 lead that they held until the second period. In the second, Oslo struck back to nod the game at one, thanks to Ben McLaughlin. Feeling the tide beginning to turn, Cologne ratcheted up the pressure and broke through the Oslo defense twice more in the second, giving them a commanding 3-1 lead. In the final period, Oslo mounted somewhat of a comeback and clawed one goal back, but just couldn't find the equalizer. Cologne wins and leaves with the trophy.
