Knight 1,285
Rashford Taking Time to Contemplate Future It has been an interesting career so fast for David Rashford of the Moscow Menace. Never blessed with much talent or potential, the late round draft pick has had to grind out a career at a professional level and it has not been easy. Some players are known from an early age and have all the resources and time dedicated to them in order to develop. Rashford has had to consistently prove he belongs playing hockey at the highest level every single year and it has started to take a toll on the player. Now having played three full seasons in the VHL and finally shown that he can be an effective contributor, Rashford is ready for some rest and a mental break from the grind. Even though he’d rather have played much deeper into the post season, he is trying to use this extra time given to him to reset his mental state so that next year he can step his level of play up even more. While he is out of contract he is not overly worried and believes his agent will negotiate a new contract with Moscow (his preference). It’s important to play hard, but sometimes you have to rest as well. Rashford is learning this first-hand. Spartan and Banackock 1
