At this point, the legend of Jon Webber III @Webberj in Halifax has been well established, but the 2nd round matchup against Mexico City was yet another example of his dominance and importance to the success of this team.  While the series featured a number of key contributors, perhaps none were more important than Jon Webber III who is the SuperSailor for the second round of the VHLM playoffs.  Through 5 games, Webber posted a .918 SV% and a 1.6 GAA against a Mexico roster that was the 2nd place team in the league for much of the season and that had just taken care of a deep Bulls squad in the first round.  With another 4 wins through both the first and second rounds, Webber increased his career playoff win total to 14, already a Halifax franchise record with another series yet to play.

Since joining the team, Webber III has been a calm, quiet, stable, and consistent presence in goal for the team.  Though he's has never been the loudest in the locker room, he frequently checks in and stays in touch with the team week to week.  Halifax 21st GM Lexie Leitner had this to say, "I have never had to worry about Webber with his preparation or practice.  Each and every week, he's been consistent for us in practice and games and has constantly been getting better and better. Just a consumate professional with a great career ahead of him!"

For Webber III, this season marks his last playoff opportunity with the 21st before he graduates up to the VHLE and the VHL.  His VHLM run has been a remarkable one, however, as he holds numerous franchise records for Halifax in both the regular season and playoffs and there's little argument that, by the numbers, he's been the greatest goalie in Halifax's franchise history.  Congratulations to Jon Webber III on a fantastic second round of the playoffs and on being named SuperSailor once again!
