Enigma 2

When we search for it, it's there, but when you find it, it no longer exists.

THe pilot was flying a jet(introduced in early fifties). Ammunition technology hadn't caught up to engine tech, so when the pilot started his dive toward the ground target, when he fired his guns, the planes speed actually put him ahead of the shots he had taken, which subsequently hit the plane, from behind.

Enigma 3

5pts

A lawyer and a politician always tell the truth, but some days they always lie. The lawyer lies on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The politician on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. One day, the politician says to the lawyer: "yesterday I was lying,". The lawyer answers : "yesterday I was lying."

What day was it?

Ok well it's Thursday.

If it's Thursday, the Lawyer is lying when he says "yesterday I was lying", since yesterday would be Wednesday and he doesn't lie on Wednesdays.

For the Politician, when he says "yesterday I was lying", he's telling the truth (he doesn't lie on Thursdays), and so if yesterday is Wednesday, that's the day he lies, and thus speaks true.
