For the past two years, I have given my picks for the All-Star Game. Since it was supposed to happen on Sunday and I mistakenly made a Media Spot that wasn't about my picks, I thought I would skip it this year. Since we have commishes who are trash though and didn't have it at it's scheduled time I will make one for this week :)

Forwards

Zach Parechkin

Aleksi Koponen

Max Molholt

Sir William Covington III

Tyson Kohler

Niels Skovgaard

Unassisted

Shawn Muller

Tom Lincoln

John Sleeman

Thor Odinsson

LeAndre St.Pierre

Additions to this years team: Zach Parechkin, Max Molholt, Shawn Muller, Thor Odinsson, LeAndre St.Pierre

Subtractions from last years team: Joel Jaarvi, Edwin Reencarncaion, Jordan Maverick, Bogdan Podarok, Jorma Ruutu

What a group of forwards we have this year. Toronto and Calgary will send 3 forwards while Riga, Cologne and Quebec will send 2 forwards each. After being left out of last years game, Zach Parechkin has torn the VHL a new one with 53 goals and 51 assists for 103 points. Good enough for top spot in the league right now. Not very far behind him is Aleksi Koponen who has 39 goals and 62 assists for 101 points. They have been fighting it out for top point getter all season long. Max Molholt too was pretty upset at being left off last year and has come back with a vengeance as well. This season he has 49 goals and 49 assists for 98 points. Sir William Covington III has been enjoying a great first season in Riga, Latvia. He has 33 goals and 63 assists for 96 points. Tyson Kohler is enjoying a breakout year in his first season in Calgary as well with 48 goals and 47 assists for 95 points. In Cologne, Germany, Niels Skovgaard keeps his status as one of the better players in the league with 38 goals and 47 assists for 85 points. Unassisted is having a good first season in Calgary too with 41 goals and 43 assists for 84 points, not matching last years pace but still a good season. Shawn Muller makes it back on the team after a 1 season hiatus. He is on pace for a career year in Latvia with 37 goals and 47 assists for 84 points. Tom Lincoln was the leading point getter this time last year but has fallen back this year with just 39 goals and 44 assists for 83 points. Not as good as last year but still ASG worthy. Next we have the Quebec duo of John Sleeman and Thor Odinsson. They are having a good seasons, Sleeman 39 goals and 34 assists for 73 points. Odinsson has 37 goals and 35 assists for 72 points. Last but not least, LeAndre St.Pierre makes the team with 28 goals and 44 assists for 72 points. Joel Jaarvi misses out this year because he is not having a good season like last year with only 32 goals and 31 assists for 63 points. Jordan Maverick is not having a great year like last with 25 goals and 27 assists for 52 points. Bogdan Podarok is in the same boat with only 31 goals and 28 assists for 59 points. Edwin Reencarnacion and Jorma Ruutu retired from VHL play which is why they aren't on the list.

Defenseman

Black Velvet

Phil Hamilton

Jeff Hamilton

Shayne Gow

World B. Free

Biggu Kyanon

Felipe Rodriguez

David Hamilton

Additions to this years team: World B. Free, Felipe Rodriguez

Subtractions from last years team: Francis York Morgan, Bubba Nuck

Cologne will lead the defense brigade again this year sending 3 players, Seattle will send 2 with the recent acquisition of Shayne Gow, while Calgary, Riga and Toronto will send 1 defenseman. Black Velvet is basically a 4th forward out there and is having an amazing year with 19 goals and 77 assists for 96 points. Phil Hamilton is having his usual good year with 18 goals and 76 assists for 94 points. Jeff Hamilton too, is having a good year in Latvia with 20 goals and 66 assists for 86 points. Seattle maybe counting their lucky stars after acquiring Shayne Gow for the low price of some low picks. He has 15 goals and 47 assists for 62 points on the year. World B. Free is having a good year as the defacto number 1 defenseman after Velvet moved on. He has scored 7 goals and assisted on 54 goals for 64 points. Biggu Kyanon is still reliable as ever on the Cologne backend forming a nice 1-2 with P.Hamilton. He has scored 13 goals and assisted on 44 goals for 57 points. Seattle too made another nice trade to get defenseman Felipe Rodriguez from Quebec. He has scored 13 goals and assisted on 38 goals for 51 points. Last and least is David Hamilton who completes the Cologne 'big 3' of defenseman. He has scored 8 goals and assisted on 38 goals for 46 points. Francis York Morgan and Bubba Nuck have retired that is why they aren't on this list again.

Goaltenders

Ariel Weinstein

Sandro Clegane

Greg Clegane

Jakub Holik

Dmitri Dadonov

Artom Zhumbayev

Additions to this years team: Jakub Holik

Subtractions from last years team: Hans Wingate

Ariel Weinstein is the best goaltender in the league and his record proves it as it is 49-4-4 with a 0.927 save percentage and a 1.37 G.A.A with 15 shutouts. Sandro Clegane isn't very far behind him with a record of 36-8-3 with a save percentage of 0.929 and a 1.42 G.A.A with 18 shutouts. Next we have the elder Clegane with Greg Clegane who has a record of 41-13-4 with a 0.944 save percentage and a 1.43 G.A.A and 14 shutouts. Jakub Holik is also having a very fine season with a record of 31-21-3 with a 0.926 save percentage and a 1.93 G.A.A to go with 11 shutouts. Dmitri Dadonov returns to Quebec and brings a record of 24-32-2 and a 0.927 save percentage and a 2.72 G.A.A to go with 6 shutouts. Last we have Artom Zhumbayev who put up stellar numbers in Cologne but is not plying his trade in Stockholm with the Vikings. He brings a record of 39-14-4 with a 0.912 save percentage and a 1.92 G.A.A to go with 12 shutouts. Hans Wingate doesn't make this years team because he has retired from VHL play.
